การศึกษาศักยภาพการใช้ประโยชน์หินน้ำมันของแอ่งแม่สอด, ภิญโญ มีชำนะ

หินน้ำมัน (Oil shale) เป็นหินตะกอน (Sedimentary Rock) ที่มีสารอินทรีย์ คือ คีโรเจน (Kerogen) เป็นองค์ประกอบ สำคัญ เกิดจากการทับถมกันของซากสิ่งมีชีวิตเป็นเวลานับล้านปี โดยไม่ถูกทำลายโดยแบคทีเรีย ผสมคลุกเคล้ากับตะกอนดิน ทราย ในบริเวณที่เหมาะสม เช่น ทะเลสาบกว้างใหญ่ ทะเลสาบตื้นชายฝั่ง ทะเลสาบขนาดเล็ก และบริเวณ ปากแม่น้ำ เกิดเป็นทรัพยากรแร่ที่มีศักยภาพในการใช้เป็นแหล่งพลังงานและวัตถุดิบสำหรับอุตสาหกรรม โดยการสกัดเป็นน้ำมันหิน (Retorting) หรือการใช้เป็นเชื้อเพลิงเพื่อผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าโดยตรง นอกจากนี้ กากและขี้เถ้าหินน้ำมันยังสามารถใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในการผลิตปูนซีเมนต์ได้ด้วย ประเทศไทยมีการค้นพบ หินน้ำมันในหลายพื้นที่ของประเทศ โดยพบมากที่สุดที่แหล่งแอ่งแม่สอด จังหวัดตาก ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งที่มี ศักยภาพในการนำมาพัฒนาและใช้ประโยชน์มากที่สุด โครงการ "การพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีการใช้ประโยชน์หินน้ำมันแอ่งแม่สอด" จึงเกิดขึ้น เพื่อพัฒนา องค์ความรู้และเตรียมความพร้อมในการบริหารจัดการการใช้ประโยชน์แหล่งแร่หินน้ำมันแอ่งแม่สอด ซึ่งมีศักยภาพที่จะเป็นแหล่งพลังงานและวัตถุดิบสำรองที่สำคัญของประเทศต่อไป

อุตสาหกรรมในประเทศไทย มีการพัฒนาอย่างรวดเร็ว เนื่องจากรัฐบาลแทบทุกสมัยได้กำหนดเป็นนโยบายการพัฒนาไว้อย่างชัดเจนและต่อเนื่อง โดยมุ่งหวังให้ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศอุตสาหกรรมใหม่ที่สำคัญของกลุ่มประเทศในภูมิภาคเอเชียภายหลังการส่งเสริมการอุตสาหกรรมในประเทศแล้ว ปัญหาต่างๆ โดยเฉพาะปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ก็ตามมา ซึ่งมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มมากขึ้นและทวีความรุนแรงขึ้นตามลำดับ ส่งผลให้เกิดปัญหาอย่างยิ่งต่อสุขภาพของประชาชนที่อยู่อาศัยโดยรอบหรือในบริเวณพื้นที่ข้างเคียง

Within the study of democratic consolidation, the role of the military has been identified as an increasingly important aspect of a country’s ability to achieve democracy. The military plays a particularly influential role in countries in Latin America and the Middle East where country’s exhibit strong military traditions. This study of applies the theories of democratic consolidation and civil-military relations to Turkey, a country who has been able to make significant progress toward the end of military tutelage. ประเทศไทยรูจ้กคำว่า "อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว" เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2530 หรือที่ประเทศไทยประกาศให้เป็นปีท่องเที่ยวไทย (Thailand Tourism Year) ซึ่งเป็นสมัยที่ พล.อ. เปรม ติณสูลานนท์ เป็นนายกรฐัมนตรี โดยมีนโยบายกระจายรายได้จากการท่องเที่ยว สู่พื้นที่ห่างไกล หรือพื้นที่ที่มีศักยภาพเพื่อพัฒนาเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยว เพื่อไม่ให้รายได้และความเจริญกระจุกตัวอยู่เฉพาะในเขตพื้นที่ ที่พัฒนาแล้วหรือเมืองใหญ่ๆ เท่านั้นการพัฒนาจึงเกิดขึ้นทั่วประเทศ และได้มีการกำหนดเมืองท่องเที่ยวหลักและเมืองท่องเที่ยวรอง เพื่อให้มีการกระจายนักท่องเที่ยว โดยเฉพาะนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ ไปยังพื้นที่ต่างๆ ทั่วประเทศโดยรัฐบาลเน้นการพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวย ความสะดวกประเภทต่างๆ ที่สำคัญและจำเป็นในพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งผลจากการกำหนดปีการท่องเที่ยวนั้นทำให้เกิดคำว่า "อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว" ขึ้นมาในประเทศไทย และที่สำคัญ คือ มีประเทศใก้ลเคียงประเทศไทยหลายประเทศเลียนแบบ ปี การท่องเที่ยวไทยในเวลาต่อมา ซึ่งผลการดำเนินการดังกล่าว ทำให้มีการเปิดประเทศด้านการท่องเที่ยวแข่งกับประเทศไทย จากการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ก่อนประกาศปีการท่องเที่ยวไทยนั้น หลายๆ ประเทศในขณะนั้นยังมีข้อจำกัดด้านการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยว เช่น ประเทศเวียดนาม ประเทศพม่า ประเทศกัมพูชา เป็นต้น แต่ปัจจุบันประเทศเหล่านี้ได้เปิดประเทศเพื่อรองรับนักท่องเที่ยว เข้าประเทศดังจะเห็นได้จากจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมากมาย ทำให้ประเทศไทยต้องกลับมาพิจารณานโยบายด้านการพัฒนา การท่องเที่ยวอย่างจริงจัง

การยกระดับมหาวิทยาลัยให้เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำเป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับโลก (World Class National University) จำเป็นต้องมีการเผยแพร่งานวิจัยที่มีคุณภาพ ออกสู่วงวิชาการในระดับโลกผ่านการตีพิมพ์เผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยในวารสารวิจัยต่างๆ ซึ่งเป็นที่ยอมรับในวงวิชาการอีกทั้งการมุ่งสู่มหาวิทยาลัยที่เป็นแหล่ง อ้างอิงทางวิช าการและเป็นรูปธรรมของแผ่นดินนั้น จำ เป็นต้องมีการเผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยที่เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงพื้นที่ (Area-based Approach) งานวิจัยที่ตอบโจทย์ปัญหาของประเทศ งานวิจัยที่มุ่งขยายผลสู่การพัฒนาภาคเกษตรกรรมและภาคอุตสาหกรรม ในรูปแบบบทความวิจัย/บทความวิชาการ การเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้สู่สังคม เพื่อสืบสานพระราชปณิธานของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวผู้สถาปนาจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ให้เป็น "มหาวิทยาลัยของแผ่นดิน" Unisearch ในฐานะหน่วยงานให้บริการวิชาการด้านวิจัยของมหาวิทยาลัยจึงได้กำหนด วิสัยทัศน์ พันธกิจ และกลยุทธ์เพื่อมุ่งตอบสนองต่อพันธกิจ ของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในการเป็น "ปัญญาของแผ่นดิน"

Distance learners, and in particular distance graduate students, can be a neglected portion of the student body; however, the library needs for this growing student group are real and important. This paper explores an Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Assessment in Action: Academic Library and Student Success project which examined two different instructional methods offered to students in an online graduate education programme. Specifically, the study assessed the effect of an online tutorial and individual contact with a librarian. The tutorial showed a statistical difference between pre-and post-test results. EU Kids Online has developed a four cluster classification of 25 European countries based on the activities undertaken, the exposure to risk and harm, and type of internet safety mediation experienced by young people across Europe.

The purpose of this report is to add a further dimension by examining the policy context and to look at how countries within each cluster approach implementation of internet safety. Implementation in this context refers to a) policy frameworks and b) policy actions undertaken at the individual country/regional level.

The subject of sport and leisure is prominently unchartered territory within criminology. The National Football League provides a unique opportunity for scholarly exploration as the sport is predicated on violence and preserves existing systems of inequality. Stemming from the defining late modern characteristics of risk management and actuarial justice, the topics of injury and harm within the sport have been brought to light by lawsuits against the league claiming that the corporation knew of the dangers of mild traumatic brain injuries (MTBI) and actively attempted to subvert this knowledge. Wave Energy In Clatsop County, Or: An Economic Impact Analysis, Jeff Renfro, Janai Kessi, Ayesha Khalid, Kyle O'Brien

Northwest Economic Research Center Publications and Reports

This study analyzes the economic impacts of building a wave energy commercial generation project in Clatsop County, Oregon. The modeled project is relatively small, and was produced by reviewing relevant wave energy literature and working with two local wave energy developers to estimate the expenditures and related costs of the project. We find that the construction and ongoing operation of a commercial wave energy project would create gains in employment, income, and output in the area as well as preparing Astoria for further wave energy development.
