I commenced the research as proposed in my application in collaboration with Keith McLaren of Monash University, Australia and Gary Wong of the University of Macau, China. I had worked with them on a related project which will be published in a journal this year. The new project is titled "Consumer Demand, Consumption, and Asset Pricing: An Integrated Analysis."

We set out with several goals in mind including developing a Steering Committee for oversight of the process, completing a Needs Assessment to guide our plan, and forming subcommittees to begin planning the actual inaugural academy. Using Federal Documents To Dispel A Myth About Ellis Island, Rosemary L. Meszaros, Katherine Pennavaria

Government workers at New York’s Ellis Island have been accused of murdering ancestral names to serve their own purposes and prejudices. Despite zero evidence to support this accusation, the myth stubbornly persists. They did not change names. They worked from manifests, which were governed by law.
