The Role Of Ceo Biases And Heuristics For Large Firms’ Innovation, Cristina O. Vlas, Radu E. Vlas
International Journal of Applied Management and Technology
Do different CEO biases affect large firms’ innovation differently, and to what extent are these effects bounded by CEOs’ heuristics? In this article, we highlight overlooked antecedents, such as the biases imposed by CEO narcissism and self-monitoring and the heuristics driven by CEOs’ motivation (regulatory foci) for certain courses of action. We found that narcissistic CEOs differ from self-monitoring CEOs when it comes to innovation. We found that, for self-monitoring CEOs, these effects are conditioned by the individuals’ underlying promotion and prevention motivation, but this is not the case for narcissistic CEOs. Parents Caring For Adult Children With Co-Occurring Disorders: A Phenomenological Study, Cynthia D. Williams

The purpose of this study was to explore and understand the lived experiences of parents caring for an adult child, aged 18 to 30 years, with a co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnosis, with attention to how caregiving intersects with trauma, resilience, and systemic challenges. To guide this exploration, the Resilience Trauma Negotiation (RTN) framework was introduced to examine how exposure, appraisal, coping responses, and systemic context intersect to shape the complex realities of caregiving. Using Moustakas’s seven-step transcendental phenomenological approach, semi-directed interview questions were facilitated with 14 caregivers. Expertise First: Reflections On Informal Artificial Intelligence Mentoring In An Asynchronous Nursing Faculty Community, Anna Liza D. Villena Phd, Rn, Fnp-Bc
Journal of Online Mentoring
The integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into higher education has arrived faster than the support structures designed to help faculty navigate it. This article reflects on one faculty member’s experience providing informal AI integration mentoring to nursing colleagues at Walden University, a fully asynchronous online graduate nursing program, where clinician-educators with deep disciplinary expertise often struggled to recognize that expertise as an asset in their interactions with AI tools.
