As a part of his address “Addressing Men’s Minds” delivered to the assembled members of the National Office Management Association, Omaha Chapter, Claude E. Thompson – Professor of Psychology and Business and the Director of the Bureau of Adult Testing at the University of Omaha – conducted an experiment designed to examine the ability of the group to adequately evaluate others. It was with his kind permission that this investigator was able to collect, analyze, and report on the resulting data.

1. What relationship, if any, exists between perceptual and motor speed and

2. Whether or not individuals who had scores on visual test which were above the mean and who had scores on motor tests below the mean present a history of fewer accidents when compared with persons whose scores on visual tests were below the mean and who were above the mean in motor test scores.

The relationship between personality and vocation has raised many problems, which have not yet been adequately investigated, since this area of research is comparatively recent. Many investigators claim that there are specific occupational differences in personality in that individuals who choose particular fields of work have certain personality characteristics in common. In other words, those in a certain occupation who are successful and satisfied with the nature of their employment will show, as indicated by instruments of personality measurement, similar traits or patterns of temperament or personality which differentiate them from persons in other vocations, who are successful as well.

Many conflicting reports have been given in the literature concerning the effect of various factors on the rate of reversal of figure and ground in reversible perspective. Flugel (7, 8) suggested that changes in eye movement increased the number of reversals. He thought that fixation on one part of the figure could lead to S’s interpretation of this part as being "nearer” the observer and that changes in perspective were induced by changing the fixation point. The problem in this investigation concerns the Klopfer-Kelley and the Beck methods of interpreting intelligence from the Rorschach Test. Stated generally, the problem is to find which one of these two methods of intelligence interpretation of the Rorschach Test is the more efficient in determining a true intelligence level, or, whether they are equally good. Specifically the problem concerns the determination of the degree of correlation of the results of each of these two methods with the Wechsler-Bellevue Adult Intelligence Scale. This problem is concerned primarily with height or degree of intelligence, excluding the type of intelligence.

The most important factor related to preference for classical music is thought by some to be the cultural background of the listener. According to Lazersfeld, "there is probably no question so sensitive to socialize differences as listening to serious music."
