Player Dissidence As Related To Ressentient Attitudes Of College Baseball Coaches, John Stephen Gunther

Two specific problems were selected by the researcher as the basis for this study: (1) What is the extent, if any, of ressentient among the selected college baseball coaches, and to what extent is this ressentient perceived by their players? (2) Does a relationship exist between ressentient attitudes of the selected coaches and the amount of dissidence they perceive in the attitudes of their players?

Before attacking these main problems, the researcher was faced with two sub-problems: (1) To obtain or devise instruments for identifying and measuring ressentient in selected college baseball coaches and their players’ perception of same. (2) …

An important part of using TV to teach centers around the use of the video tape recorder. A basic videotape recording unit consists of a videotape recorder, a playback monitor, a television camera and a microphone.

Integral to any discussion of the VTR is an investigation of the different aspects of using television for educational purposes. The first step in this paper, therefore, will be a careful exploration of the advantages and disadvantages of television and, indirectly, videotaping, in secondary education.

A Study Of The Variable Of Black Dialect As It Affects The Performance Of Black Children On A Speech-Sound Discrimination Test, Adeline Cheryl Alderson

The present study investigated the variable of Black Dialect as it affected performance of a black population on a standardized speech-sound discrimination test. Forty-four black preschool children ranging in age from four years, one month through five years, one month served as subjects. Test tapes used for presentation of the test were the Standard English test tape included in the speech-sound discrimination test pack and a Black Dialect test tape recorded by a lay talker. This paper presents a classification schedule which may be utilized to organize the printed materials found in a curriculum laboratory. The schedule is designed to provide the user with maximum ease of access to the materials contained in the collection and relieves the curriculum librarian of many of the clerical routines common to the processing of new materials.
