It was the purpose of this survey to find out what post-basic preparation the administrative, supervisory and head nurses had received for their positions in six Seventh-day Adventist hospitals. The descriptive survey was chosen as the method of approach in the study. An information card was devised to gather the data. A total of 190 or 81 percent of the 235 anticipated responses were returned. The purpose of this study was to observe and analyze the activities of the nursing team leader on a selected medical unit of the Loma Linda Sanitarium and Hospital and to measure the percentage of time spent in each recognized function.

To accomplish this, the descriptive survey method was used. Six team leaders were "shadowed" by an. observer for a total of ten days. The problem in this study was to determine if a relationship exists between high urea nitrogen retention and a high arterial diastolic blood pressure or diseases that are usually associated with a high arterial diastolic blood pressure.

Method of Study:

The descriptive survey method was used. Data for this study were obtained by reviewing charts of all patients whose NPN was 150 mg. percent or over or whose BUN was 100 mg. percent or over. During the specified two year period the White Memorial Clinical Laboratory records revealed thirty-five patients as falling into this category.

The purpose of this survey was to ascertain factors which influence job satisfaction among the head nurse and staff nurse groups in a selected denominational hospital.

For this study the normative survey approach was used as the method of research. The SRA Employee Inventory put out by Science Research Associates, Inc., in connection with the Industrial Relations Center of the University of Chicago was the tool of research used to collect the data. The study was conducted in an attempt to identify factors in the work situation which seemed to have had bearing on accidents involving nursing service employees, and to analyze and classify these factors for use in accident prevention and safety education activities. An accident was any sudden and unexpected event which resulted in a physical injury.

There have been no national Seventh-day Adventist nurses available and no school where they could receive nursing education. This study was conducted to find out if Paradise Valley School of Nursing is meeting certain specified objectives and to gather information which could help in future curriculum planning to better meet the needs of the students.

The normative-survey was the method used to gather data from graduates of the 1950-1957 classes. This group comprised those graduating from the three-year diploma program. A questionnaire was mailed to 149 graduates of which 124 responded.

In this study a survey was made of the attitudes of Indonesian Seventh-day Adventists toward nursing. This was done for the purpose of discovering why there is a shortage of women applicants to the Seventh-day Adventist nursing school in Bandung, Java. The study was accomplished through the use of questionnaires administered to four selected groups in two geographic areas of Indonesia, and revealed attitudes of two adult groups and two student group.
