Thermodynamic Properties Of Transverse Field Quantum Ising Model Using Tensor Network Formalism, Sin Yang Pang

Ising model has been successful in describing ferromagnetism and its phase transition to paramagnet. At the critical point, the free energy density function and its derivatives diverge. Their behaviour near the critical point are described by power-laws with associated critical exponents. In many cases, the critical exponents can be determined from analytic solutions via conventional renormalization groups methods or from Monte Carlo simulations. However, for quantum many-body systems, very few are tractable to analytical solutions. Thermal-decreasing hybrid organic coatings were developed for crystalline solar cells by using two types of binder systems; namely Aminopropyltriethoxysolution (APTES) / Methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) binder system (labelled as B1) and Methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) / nitric acid (HNO3) binder system (labelled as B2). Research interest in recent times has placed much focus on electrode technology for biophotovoltaics (BPV) especially in algal fuel cells (AFCs) application. The purpose of this investigation is therefore directed towards optimizing reduced graphene oxide (rGO) thin film as an electrode for AFCs application by means of annealing and plasma treatment. First stage involves deposition of six (6) layers of rGO thin film using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. The anode electrodes were then annealed at different temperatures under vacuum condition. Corrosion can be defined as the disintegration of a material into its constituent atoms due to chemical reactions with its surroundings. There are various chemical and physical factors that affect the rate and mechanisms of corrosion processes. In this study, we focus on the corrosion of carbon steel in mineral water at room temperature. The morphologies of corroded surface are characterized using fractal analysis. The steel plates of 10cmx10cmx0.2cm are first polished using abrasive papers of different coarseness until smooth surfaces are obtained.
