The paper analyzes the possibilities of renewable energy sources to become the main sources of ener-gy that can in the future replace traditional technologies for the production of thermal and electrical energy based on the use of fossil fuels and nuclear energy.
Technological approaches are considered that make it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of solar energy, and it is also shown that such a possibility can be realized by using weakly crystalline and cheap modifications of silicon, which have previously passed the corresponding nanotechnological effect.

Metal-oxide semiconductors (SnO2, ZnO, TiO2, etc.) have a wide band gap (~3 eV) and are trans-parent in the visible range of the optical spectrum. Therefore, transparent semiconductor devices (diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, etc.) can be made based on them. There are two peaks in the emission spectrum of the LED. One of the peaks (3.3 eV), apparently, is as-sociated with exciton recombination, and the other peak is associated with recombination through a deep impuri-ty level. The emission spectrum of the LED was ob-served at a direct current of 40 mA. The electrolumines-cence spectrum obtained on the heterostructure at room temperature …

Today, solar cells are manufactured at the industrial level mainly from polycrystalline and monocrystalline silicon. Solar elements made of silicon make up more than 90% of the solar elements that are produced worldwide. Depending on the seasons of the year in the Ferghana Valley, the movement of the Sun, geographical location, air humidity, temperature changes, the intensity of light falling on the surface of solar panels and other parameters, the characteristic (I-V) of solar panels was studied. The installation of solar panels installed at Andijan State University consists of the installation, commissioning and analysis of the results obtained on sunny, …

A Cauchy-Goursat Problem For A Second Kind Degenerated Equation Of Hyperbolic Type, Doniyor Usmonov
Scientific Bulletin. Physical and Mathematical Research
In the work a Cauchy-Goursta problem has been formulated and investigated for a second kind degenerated equation of hyperbolic type. During the investigation, it was used properties of Gauss’s hyper geometric function and symbol of Pochhammer, the considered problem equivalently reduced to an integral equation with respect to trace of unknown function. Properties of Riemann-Liuvill integral-differential and generalized integral-differential operators have found solution of the taken integral equation. To find solution of the problem it was used general solution of the equation. A class of generalized solutions was introduced for the correctness of the problem. It was found necessary conditions …

Evolution Of Quantum Systems Consisting Of Mul-Tiple Various Particles Interacting With General-Ized Yukasha Potential, N.N. Bogolyubov, Rasulova Mukhayo, U.O. Avazov
Scientific Bulletin. Physical and Mathematical Research
In this paper, multi-variety densely packed par-ticle dynamic systems with the ability to interact with the shielded Yukawa potential were studied. Also, in order to study more widely the dynamics of systems containing particles interacting via shielded potential, the theoretical foundations of the dynam-ics of systems consisting of an arbitrary number of bounded - sorted multi-particles are analyzed. The dynamics of an arbitrary number of interacting par-ticle systems on a screening potential was studied using the Bogolyubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon (BBGKY) chain of quantum kinetic equations. The BBGKY chain of quantum kinetic equations has solutions for the case that characterizes the evo-lution of …

The article presents the results of a study of the effect of yarn twist on the surface density of clothing fabrics with a square structure and the filling calculation of the fabric depending on the weave. The tension in the process of weaving square fabric on a loom with short overlaps is higher relative to weaving of fabric with long overlaps. With an increase in the twist of the yarn, the surface density of the fabric, the coefficient of filling (CST) and the coefficient of connectivity of the fabric (FTC) of the square structure increase.

In the article, the model of the recombination of non - equilibrium carriers through a pair recombination complex of the donor-acceptor pair type is studied under conditions when the concentration of such paired complexes changes (decreases) during the excitation of the material. Also, the article describes that the injection into the p-n-n+ - structure can lead to fundamental changes in the distribution of the concentration of free carriers, especially, to the appearance of a periodic term depending on the concentration of the sample length (instead of the usual exponential dependence).

N-Th Order Functional Problems With Resonance Of Dimension One., Erin Benham
Theses and Dissertations
We consider a nonlinear n-th order boundary value problem given arbitrary bounded linear functional conditions and develop a method that allows us to study all such resonance problems of order one, as well as implementing a more general constructive method for deriving existence criteria in the framework of the coincidence degree method of Mawhin. We demonstrate applicability of the formalism by giving an example for when n is 4.

The Structure Of Functional Graphs For Functions From A Finite Domain To Itself For Which A Half Iterate Exists, Paweł Marcin Kozyra
Theory & Applications of Graphs
The notion of a replica of a nontrivial in-tree is defined. A result enabling to determine whether an in-tree is a replica of another in-tree employing an injective mapping between some subsets of sources of these in-trees is presented. There are given necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a functional square root of a function from a finite set to itself through presenting necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a square root of a component of the functional graph for the function and for the existence of a square root of the union of two components …

Dpp: Deep Predictor For Price Movement From Candlestick Charts, Chih-Chieh Hung, Ying-Ju (Tessa) Chen
Mathematics Faculty Publications
Forecasting the stock market prices is complicated and challenging since the price movement is affected by many factors such as releasing market news about earnings and profits, international and domestic economic situation, political events, monetary policy, major abrupt affairs, etc. In this work, a novel framework: deep predictor for price movement (DPP) using candlestick charts in the stock historical data is proposed. This framework comprises three steps: 1. decomposing a given candlestick chart into sub-charts; 2. using CNN-autoencoder to acquire the best representation of sub-charts; 3. applying RNN to predict the price movements from a collection of sub-chart representations. An …

On A Polyanalytic Approach To Noncommutative De Branges–Rovnyak Spaces And Schur Analysis, Daniel Alpay, Fabrizio Colombo, Kamal Diki, Irene Sabadini
Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science Faculty Articles and Research
In this paper we begin the study of Schur analysis and of de Branges–Rovnyak spaces in the framework of Fueter hyperholomorphic functions. The difference with other approaches is that we consider the class of functions spanned by Appell-like polynomials. This approach is very efficient from various points of view, for example in operator theory, and allows us to make connections with the recently developed theory of slice polyanalytic functions. We tackle a number of problems: we describe a Hardy space, Schur multipliers and related results. We also discuss Blaschke functions, Herglotz multipliers and their associated kernels and Hilbert spaces. Finally, …

Functional Role Of The N-Terminal Domain In Connexin 46/50 By In Silico Mutagenesis And Molecular Dynamics Simulation, Umair Khan
University Honors Theses
Connexins form intercellular channels known as gap junctions that facilitate diverse physiological roles, from long-range electrical and chemical coupling to nutrient exchange. Recent structural studies on Cx46 and Cx50 have defined a novel and stable open state and implicated the amino-terminal (NT) domain as a major contributor to functional differences between connexin isoforms. This thesis presents two studies which use molecular dynamics simulations with these new structures to provide mechanistic insight into the function and behavior of the NTH in Cx46 and Cx50. In the first, residues in the NTH that differ between Cx46 and Cx50 are swapped between the …

Algebraic Graph-Assisted Bidirectional Transformers For Molecular Property Prediction, Dong Chen, Kaifu Gao, Duc Duy Nguyen, Xin Chen, Yi Jiang, Guo-Wei Wei, Feng Pan
Mathematics Faculty Publications
The ability of molecular property prediction is of great significance to drug discovery, human health, and environmental protection. Despite considerable efforts, quantitative prediction of various molecular properties remains a challenge. Although some machine learning models, such as bidirectional encoder from transformer, can incorporate massive unlabeled molecular data into molecular representations via a self-supervised learning strategy, it neglects three-dimensional (3D) stereochemical information. Algebraic graph, specifically, element-specific multiscale weighted colored algebraic graph, embeds complementary 3D molecular information into graph invariants. We propose an algebraic graph-assisted bidirectional transformer (AGBT) framework by fusing representations generated by algebraic graph and bidirectional transformer, as well as …
An Equivalence Between Contact Gluing Maps In Sutured Floer Homology: A Conjecture Of Zarev, Charles Ryan Leigon
An Equivalence Between Contact Gluing Maps In Sutured Floer Homology: A Conjecture Of Zarev, Charles Ryan Leigon
LSU Doctoral Dissertations
We show that the contact gluing map of Honda, Kazez, and Matic has a natural algebraic description in bordered sutured Floer homology. In particular, we establish Zarev's conjecture that his gluing map on sutured Floer homology is equivalent, in the appropriate sense, to the contact gluing map. This further solidifies the relationship between bordered Floer theory and contact geometry.

Numerical Techniques And Simulations For Studying Various High Power Optical Fiber Amplifiers, Particularly For Ytterbium (Yb+3), And Thulium (Tm+3) Doped Fibers, Tathagata Goswami
Dissertations and Theses
In this dissertation we present a simplified scalar numerical model, derived from Maxwell's field equations, for the fiber laser amplifier simulations. Maxwell's equations are reduced using a technique called Coupled Mode Theory (CMT).
The reduced model is made more efficient through a new scale model, referred to as an equivalent short fiber, which captures some of the essential characteristics of a longer fiber. The equivalent short fiber can be viewed as a fiber made using artificial (nonphysical) material properties that in some sense compensates for its reduced length. The computations can be accelerated by a factor approximately equal to the …

Noncommutative Tensor Triangular Geometry And Its Applications To Representation Theory, Kent Barton Vashaw
Noncommutative Tensor Triangular Geometry And Its Applications To Representation Theory, Kent Barton Vashaw
LSU Doctoral Dissertations
One of the cornerstones of the representation theory of Hopf algebras and finite tensor categories is the theory of support varieties. Balmer introduced tensor triangular geometry for symmetric monoidal triangulated categories, which united various support variety theories coming from disparate areas such as homotopy theory, algebraic geometry, and representation theory. In this thesis a noncommutative version will be introduced and developed. We show that this noncommutative analogue of Balmer's theory can be determined in many concrete situations via the theory of abstract support data, and can be used to classify thick tensor ideals. We prove an analogue of prime ideal …
Domes Over Curves, Alexey Glazyrin, Igor Pak
Domes Over Curves, Alexey Glazyrin, Igor Pak
School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences Faculty Publications
A closed piecewise linear curve is called integral if it is comprised of unit intervals. Kenyon's problem asks whether for every integral curve γ in ℝ3, there is a dome over γ, i.e. whether γ is a boundary of a polyhedral surface whose faces are equilateral triangles with unit edge lengths. First, we give an algebraic necessary condition when γ is a quadrilateral, thus giving a negative solution to Kenyon's problem in full generality. We then prove that domes exist over a dense set of integral curves. Finally, we give an explicit construction of domes over all regular n-gons.

Efficient, Positive, And Energy Stable Schemes For Multi-D Poisson–Nernst–Planck Systems, Hailiang Liu, Wumaier Maimaitiyiming
Mathematics and Statistics Faculty Research & Creative Works
In this paper, we design, analyze, and numerically validate positive and energy-dissipating schemes for solving the time-dependent multi-dimensional system of Poisson–Nernst–Planck equations, which has found much use in the modeling of biological membrane channels and semiconductor devices. The semi-implicit time discretization based on a reformulation of the system gives a well-posed elliptic system, which is shown to preserve solution positivity for arbitrary time steps. The first order (in time) fully discrete scheme is shown to preserve solution positivity and mass conservation unconditionally, and energy dissipation with only a mild O (1) time step restriction. The scheme is also shown to …
Determinant Formulas Of Some Hessenberg Matrices With Jacobsthal Entries, Taras Goy, Mark Shattuck
Determinant Formulas Of Some Hessenberg Matrices With Jacobsthal Entries, Taras Goy, Mark Shattuck
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
In this paper, we evaluate determinants of several families of Hessenberg matrices having various subsequences of the Jacobsthal sequence as their nonzero entries. These identities may be written equivalently as formulas for certain linearly recurrent sequences expressed in terms of sums of products of Jacobsthal numbers with multinomial coefficients. Among the sequences that arise in this way include the Mersenne, Lucas and Jacobsthal-Lucas numbers as well as the squares of the Jacobsthal and Mersenne sequences. These results are extended to Hessenberg determinants involving sequences that are derived from two general families of linear second-order recurrences. Finally, combinatorial proofs are provided …

On The Generalization Of Interval Valued Fuzzy Generalized Bi-Ideals In Ordered Semigroups, Muhammad S. Ali Khan, Saleem Abdullah, Kostaq Hila
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
In this paper, a new general form than interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideals in ordered semigroups is introduced. The concept of interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideals is initiated and several properties and characterizations are provided. A condition for an interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideal to be an interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideal is obtained. Using implication operators and the notion of implication-based an interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideal, characterizations of an interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideal and an interval valued fuzzy generalized bi-ideal are considered.

Hamacher Operations Of Fermatean Fuzzy Matrices, I. Silambarasan
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
The purpose of this study is to extend the Fermatean fuzzy matrices to the theory of Hamacher operations. In this paper, the concept of Hamacher operations of Fermatean fuzzy matrices are introduced and some desirable properties of these operations, such as commutativity, idempotency, and monotonicity are discussed. Further, we prove DeMorgan’s laws over complement for these operations. Furthermore, the scalar multiplication and exponentiation operations of Fermatean fuzzy matrices are constructed and their algebraic properties are investigated. Finally, some properties of necessity and possibility operators of Fermatean fuzzy matrices are proved.
