This manuscript is devoted to consider Natural transform (NT) coupled with homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for obtaining series solutions to some linear and nonlinear fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs). By means of NT, we obtain the transformed problem which is then solved by using HPM. By means of Stehfest’s numerical algorithm and using the dual relationship of NT and Laplace transform, we calculate inverse NT for approximate solutions. The series solutions we obtain using the proposed method are in close agreement with the exact solutions. We apply the proposed method to some interesting problems to illustrate our main results.

In this paper, a numerical approximation is drafted for solving the generalized Abel’s integral equation by practicing Laguerre orthogonal polynomials. The proposed approximation is framed for the first and second kinds of the generalized Abel’s integral equation. We have utilized the properties of fractional order operators to interpret Abel’s integral equation as a fractional integral equation. It offers a new approach by employing Laguerre polynomials to approximate the integrand of a fractional integral equation. Given examples demonstrate the simplicity and suitability of the method. In this paper, we propose an Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) based algorithm that is taking advantage of factorization for the fixed rank matrix completion problem. The convergence of the proposed algorithm to the KKT point is discussed. Finally, on several classes of test problems, its efficiency is compared with several efficient algorithms from the literature.

In this paper, we propose new theorems of the reduced differential transform method (RDTM) for solving a class of two-dimensional linear and nonlinear Volterra integral equations (VIEs) of the second kind. The advantage of this method is its simplicity in using. It solves the equations straightforward and directly without using perturbation, Adomian’s polynomial, linearization or any other transformation and gives the solution as convergent power series with simply determinable components. Also, six examples and numerical results are provided so as to validate the reliability and efficiency of the method.

This study is concerned with the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions of a generalized Nicholson’s blowflies equation with mixed delays. Using some differential inequalities and a fixed point theorem, sufficient conditions were obtained for the existence, uniqueness of at the least a weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions and global exponential stability of this solution. The results of this study are new and complementary to the previous ones can be found in the literature. At the end of the study an example is given to show the accuracy of our results.

Ichijy¯o introduced (a; b; J)-manifolds as a special class of generalized Randers manifolds. We introduce generalized (a; b; J)-manifolds. A partial negative answer to Ichijy¯o’s open problem on nearly Kähler Finsler manifolds is given. The condition under which generalized (a; b; J)- manifolds are Berwaldian is obtained. Finally, we prove that under a mild assumption a nearly Kähler Finsler manifold is Landsbergian.

In this paper, some inequalities for permanents and permanental minors of row substochastic matrices are proved. The convexity of the permanent function on the interval between the identity matrix and an arbitrary row substochastic matrix is also proved. In addition, a conjecture about the permanent and permanental minors of square row substochastic matrices with fixed row and column sums is formulated.

In the 1980s, M. Artin, J. Tate, and M. Van den Bergh applied geometric techniques to noncommutative algebras. Their work introduced algebraic concepts called point modules and line modules and an associated geometric concept, which was later called the point scheme. In 2002, Shelton and Vancliff defined the concept of line scheme and developed a method for computing the line scheme of any quadratic algebra that satisfies certain conditions. Artin, Tate, and Van den Bergh were able to classify so-called quantum P²s by their point scheme; quantum P³s however are much more challenging and involve computing the line scheme. In …

In this paper we present a survey for all graphs with order at most 6 whether they are vertex equitable or not and we get an upper bound for the number of edges of any graph with 𝑝 vertices to be a vertex equitable graph. Also, we establish vertex equitable labeling for the 𝑚-chain of the complete bipartite graph 𝐾2,𝑛 and for the graph 𝑃𝑛 × 𝑃𝑚.

We describe the approximation of a continuous dynamical system on a p.l. manifold or Cantor set by a tractable system. A system is tractable when it has a finite number of chain components and, with respect to a given full background measure, almost every point is generic for one of a finite number of ergodic invariant measures. The approximations we use are non-degenerate simplicial dynamical systems for p.l. manifolds and shift-like dynamical systems for Cantor Sets.

Wearable, multisensor, consumer devices that estimate sleep are now commonplace, but the algorithms used by these devices to score sleep are not open source, and the raw sensor data is rarely accessible for external use. As a result, these devices are limited in their usefulness for clinical and research applications, despite holding much promise. We used a mobile application of our own creation to collect raw acceleration data and heart rate from the Apple Watch worn by participants undergoing polysomnography, as well as during the ambulatory period preceding in lab testing. We prove a number of unconditional statistical results of the Hecke coefficients for unitary cuspidal representations of over number fields. Using partial bounds on the size of the Hecke coefficients, instances of Langlands functoriality, and properties of Rankin-Selberg -functions, we obtain bounds on the set of places where linear combinations of Hecke coefficients are negative. Under a mild functoriality assumption we extend these methods to . As an application, we obtain a result related to a question of Serre about the occurrence of large Hecke eigenvalues of Maass forms. Epilepsy is a complex phenomena of a system of neurons simultaneously firing that are highly intensive and synchronized. Seizures are a common and well known physical feature for all types of epileptic disorders [8]. Epilepsy is known to be traced back to spatial and temporal patterns working in sequence. The rhythms, patterns, and oscillatory dynamics explain the mechanistic nature of neurons especially in absence seizures [37]. In this work, a practically relevant control problem of compensating harmonic uncertainties is tackled. The problem is formulated and solved here using an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) methodology. A novel, custom ADRC structure is proposed that utilizes an innovative resonant extended state observer (RESO), dedicated to systems subjected to harmonic interferences. In order to make the introduced solution more industry-friendly, the entire observer-centered control topology is additionally restructured into one degree-of-freedom, compact, feedback error-based form (similar to ubiquitous in practice PID controller). The purpose of this thesis is to create information visualizations surrounding suicide trends from 1999-2016 in the United States. The original data was obtained from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Compressed Mortality Database. This database permits users to download several fields of information regarding deaths for the years given. Using this information, many graphs below show trends and patterns for suicide. We develop the Titchmarsh–Weyl theory for vector-valued discrete Schrödinger operators. We show that the Weyl m functions associated with these operators are matrix valued Herglotz functions that map complex upper half plane to the Siegel upper half space. We discuss about the Weyl disk and Weyl circle corresponding to these operators by defining these functions on a bounded interval. We also discuss the geometric properties of Weyl disk and find the center and radius of the Weyl disk explicitly in terms of matrices.

In this paper, we consider determinants for some families of Toeplitz–Hessenberg matrices having various translates of the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers for the nonzero entries. These determinant formulas may also be rewritten as identities involving sums of products of Fibonacci and Lucas numbers and multinomial coefficients. Combinatorial proofs are provided of several of the determinants which make use of sign-changing involutions and the definition of the determinant as a signed sum over the symmetric group. This leads to a common generalization of the Fibonacci and Lucas determinant formulas in terms of the so-called Gibonacci numbers.
