The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need for accurate and rapid diagnostic tools to assist clinical decision-making. Conventional deep learning models for COVID-19 detection in Chest X-Ray (CXR) images face challenges in poor generalization across imaging conditions and high computational demands. To address these issues, this study proposes CviTLNN, a novel hybrid model combining Vision Transformers (ViTs) and Liquid Neural Networks (LNNs) to improve feature extraction and classification. Specifically, CviTLNN employs a ViT with 24 transformer encoder blocks for efficient extraction of spatial features. This paper builds upon the foundational work presented in [38–40]. The Neutrosophic Set provides a comprehensive mathematical framework for managing uncertainty, defined by three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Recent advancements have introduced extensions such as the Hyperneutrosophic Set and the SuperHyperneutrosophic Set, which are specifically designed to address increasingly complex and multidimensional problems. This paper is a continuation of the work presented in [35]. The Neutrosophic Set provides a mathematical framework for managing uncertainty, characterized by three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Recent advancements have introduced extensions such as the Hyperneutrosophic Set and SuperHyperneutrosophic Set to address more complex and multidimensional challenges. In this study, we extend the Complex Neutrosophic Set, Single-Valued Triangular Neutrosophic Set, Fermatean Neutrosophic Set, and Linguistic Neutrosophic Set within the frameworks of Hyperneutrosophic Sets and SuperHyperneutrosophic Sets. Furthermore, we investigate their mathematical structures and analyze their connections with other set-theoretic concepts.

The Soft Set provides a framework that associates each parameter with subsets of a universal set, enabling flexible approximations [31]. Philosophy, long defined by its pursuit of truth, has historically been a battleground for dichotomies: truth vs. falsehood, materialism vs. idealism, reason vs. emotion. These oppositions often provide a framework for understanding philosophical discourse, but they fail to capture the full nuances of reality. To challenge these binary oppositions, I introduced the neutrosophic perspective in philosophy, rooted in Mathematics, and Many-Valued Logics.1 By emphasizing the interrelation of affirmation, negation, and neutrality, neutrosophy allows for the reconciliation of seemingly irreconcilable viewpoints, providing a new lens through which to reinterpret age-old philosophical questions.

The global economy's reliance on energy supply and distribution necessitates a shift towards clean and renewable energy sources. This article explores how the economies of energy producers and consumers can be better modeled through the lens of autopoiesis, a concept developed by Humberto Maturana and further elaborated by Fritjof Capra (cf. Web of Life). By viewing energy systems as self-producing and self-maintaining entities, we can gain insights into the dynamics of energy transition in developing countries and identify strategies for fostering sustainable and resilient energy ecosystems.

Graph characteristics are often studied through various parameters, with ongoing research dedicated to exploring these aspects. Among these, graph width parameters—such as treewidth—are particularly important due to their practical applications in algorithms and real-world problems. A hypergraph generalizes traditional graph theory by abstracting and extending its concepts [77]. More recently, the concept of a SuperHyperGraph has been introduced as a further generalization of the hypergraph. Neutrosophic logic [133], a mathematical framework, extends classical and fuzzy logic by allowing the simultaneous consideration of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity within an interval. In this paper, we explore Superhypertree-width, Neutrosophic treewidth, and t-Neutrosophic tree-width.

This study addresses the ambiguities in empirical findings on artificial intelligence (AI) in education by proposing a new methodological framework that combines neutrosophic stance detection and Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA). This approach explicitly models truth, indeterminacy, and falsity, allowing for the synthesis of contradictory research. The authors evaluated four causal hypotheses related to AI-based learning, using a survey of 24 university participants to explore the necessary conditions for perceived learning improvements. A Neutrosophic Set is a mathematical framework that represents degrees of truth, indeterminacy, and falsehood to address uncertainty in membership values [41, 42]. In contrast, a Plithogenic Set extends this concept by incorporating attributes, their possible values, and the corresponding degrees of appurtenance and contradiction [50]. Among the related concepts of Neutrosophic Sets, Neutrosophic Duplets and Neutrosophic Triplets are well-known. This paper defines Plithogenic Duplets and Plithogenic Triplets as extensions of these concepts using the Plithogenic Set framework and briefly examines their relationship with existing concepts.

Non-Gaussian uncertainty frequently arises in learning and control problems involving stochastic dynamical systems, particularly in autonomous vehicles, UAVs, satellites, and robotics. In this dissertation, we propose a new framework that leverages characteristic functions that provides a frequency-domain representation of random variables. The dissertation is structured into three key areas. First, we address model-based stochastic optimal control for linear systems with non-Gaussian noise, demonstrating that characteristic functions can be used to enforce chance constraints and control systems toward desired distributions. Inspired by the works of Petro, Epstein, Vassilev, and Morre, this thesis aims to study the generalized definitions of the semiprime operation, weakly prime operation, and standard closure operation on rings, that is, the multiplicative operation, weakly multiplicative operation, and standardly multiplicative operation on submodules. Then, we will use Matlis duality to induce the dual notions of these definitions on submodules of Matlis-dualizable Artinian modules. A commonly used tool for evolutionary biologists is a phylogenetic tree that represents the ancestry of a set of species and the evolution of traits. Statistical models can be used to predict the probabilities of gene trees which represent ancestral relationships of genes sampled from species. Because of this, we are able to represent the likelihood of a species tree, which represents the evolutionary history of a set of species, as a function of the counts of gene tree topologies, where each gene tree represents the ancestry of a specific genetic locus for multiple species. Despite the fact that Parallel-in-Time (PinT) methods are predicted to become necessary to fully utilize next-generation exa- and zettascale machines, there are currently no known practical methods which scale well with the length of the time-domain for chaotic problems, due to exponential dependence of the condition number on the fastest chaotic timescale. I present modifications to the coarse-grid equations along with a novel rediscretization approach which together greatly improve convergence of the multigrid reduction in time (MGRIT) algorithm and allow the first known PinT speedup for a chaotic PDE. The 3-space, 1-time dimensional scalar wave equation, or 3+1 wave equation, describes the propagation of scalar or acoustic waves. The unforced homogeneous equation admits a class of outgoing solutions relative to a chosen fixed center, so called “multipole” solutions. This thesis examines near-to-far signal propagation in the context of these multipole solutions. Given a time-series (history of values) for a multipole solution recorded at a radius r1, near- to-far signal propagation recovers the corresponding time-series at larger radius r2 ≫ r1. This propagation takes into account both the appropriate time delay r2 − r1 and corrections to the wave shape. …

We discuss herein the history, layout, and philosophy of the Hardy-Littlewood Circle method, as well as the more modern renditions thereof. The limitations and scope of each method presented is discussed in detail, providing examples of cases where the failure of the circle method is of relevance. We include a summary of famous problems which have been resolved using each methodology, as well as what limitations each methodology showcases.
