Though much of this information should have been learned in the fourth grade it is still important to review this material. I am going to teach basic introductory geometry skills to 4th graders using Geometry’s Sketchpad. At this age, children are only beginning to learn about geometry in their math classes, and I would like for the students to understand these basic concepts using technology. A Rank Correlation Coefficient Resistant To Outliers, Rudy Gideon, Robert Ashley Hollister

In this article, a nonparametric correlation coefficient is defined that is based on the principle of maximum deviations. This new correlation coefficient, RgB is easy to compute by hand for small to medium sample sizes. In comparing it with existing correlation coefficients, it was found to be superior in a sampling situation that we call "biased outliers," and hence appears to be more resistant to outliers than the Pearson, Spear- man, and Kendall correlation coefficients.
