We introduce the notion of trans-Sasakian Finsler manifold, then study semi-invariant submanifold F^m = (Y, Y', F) of a trans-Sasakian Finsler manifold F^{2n+1} + (bar-Y, bar-Y', bar-F) and we discuss the integrability conditions of the distrubitions of the semi-invariant submanifolds of the trans-Sasakian Finsler manifold.

In this paper, we investigate the inflection circle, circling-point curve, and center-point curve for the original and inverse motion of Minkowski planes, and we also deal with their degenerate cases individually. For this purpose, we consider the trajectory of origin with respect to the instantaneous invariants of Bottema in Minkowski plane by using hyperbolic numbers. Finally, we give the geometric interpretation of the circling-point and center-point curves by comparing the original and inverse motion in Minkowski planes.

Optimal inequalities involving the scalar curvature, the mean curvature vector and the second fundamental form for pseudo Riemannian submanifolds are proved and the equality cases of these inequalities are discussed. These results are studied for submanifolds of various indefinite contact space forms.

In this paper the Bagley-Torvik Equation is considered with the order of the damping term allowed to range between one and two. The solution is found to be representable as a convolution of trigonometric and exponential functions with the driving force. The properties of the effective decay rate and the oscillation frequency with respect to the order of the fractional damping are also studied. In this paper we apply the cubic set theory to interior ideals of a semigroup. The notion of cubic interior ideals is introduced, and related properties are investigated. The present paper deals with the determination of thermal stresses in a semi-infinite thick circular plate of a finite length and infinite extent subjected to an axisymmetric heat supply. A thick circular plate is considered having constant initial temperature and arbitrary heat flux is applied on the upper and lower face. The governing heat conduction equation has been solved by using integral transform technique. The results are obtained in terms of Bessel’s function. The thermoelastic behavior has been computed numerically and illustrated graphically for a steel plate.

A differential operator with constant coefficients is hypoelliptic if and only if its solution space is of finite functional dimension. We extend this property to operators with variable coefficient. We prove that an equally strong differential operator with variable coefficients has the same property. In addition, we extend the Zielezny’s result to operators with variable coefficients; prove that an operator with analytic coefficients on ℝn is elliptic if and only if locally the functional dimension of its solution space is the same as the Euclidean dimension n.

One-dimensional advection-dispersion equation (ADE) is studied along unsteady longitudinal flow through a semi-infinite heterogeneous medium. Adsorption coefficient is considered temporally and spatially–dependent function i.e., expressed in degenerate form. The dispersion parameter is considered as inversely proportional to adsorption coefficient. The input source is of pulse type. The Laplace Transformation Technique (LTT) is used to obtain the analytical solution by introducing certain new independent variables through separate transformations. The effects of adsorption, heterogeneity and unsteadiness are investigated and discussed with the help of various graphs.

Very recently, the notion of extended 𝑏-metric spaces was introduced by replacing the modified triangle inequality with a functional triangle inequality and the analog of the renowned Banach fixed point theorem was proved in this new structure. In this paper, continuing in this direction, we further refine the functional inequality and establish some fixed point results for nonlinear contractive mappings in the new setting. A nontrivial example for the new extended 𝑏-metric space is given.

The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of double sequences in 2-normed space. We provide a simple way to derive a norm from the standard 2-norm by using double sequences when a 2-normed space is given. Equivalence relation between derived norm and the usual norm are established. Using this derived norm, we examine the completeness property of a 2-normed space and we extend the results to n-normed spaces.

This paper analyzes the effects of thermal radiation, Hall and ion slip parameter on mixed convective nanofluid flow in an annuli between two concentric cylinders in the existence of strong magnetic field. The nonlinear governing equations are non-dimensionalized and then solved by using homotopy analysis method. The influence of radiation, magnetic, Hall and ion slip parameters on the velocity, temperature, nanoparticle concentration, Nusselt number and nanoparticle Sherwood number are investigated and represented graphically.

This paper aims to prove that the set {g_{ij}(x), L_{ij} (x), i, j = 1, 2} is a complete system of the SM(3)- invariants of a nondegenerate surface in R3, where {g_{ij}(x)} and {L_{ij}(x)}, 1, j = 1, 2 are the sets of all coefficients of the first and second fundamental forms of a surface x in R3. In the literature, there are a lot of studies about midpoint type inequalities for Riemann Liouville Fractional Integrals. But for most of them, the right and left fractional integrals are used together. In this paper, we give three new Riemann-Liouville fractional midpoint type identities for differentiable functions by using only the right or the left fractional integral. From these identities, we obtain some new midpoint type inequalities for harmonically convex functions by applying power mean and Hölder inequalities.

The second-order linear hypergeometric differential equation and the hypergeometric function play a central role in many areas of mathematics and physics. The purpose of this paper is to obtain differential equations and the hypergeometric forms of the Fibonacci and the Lucas polynomials. We also write again these polynomials by means of Olver’s hypergeometric functions. In addition, we present some relations between these polynomials and the other well-known functions.

The main goal in this work is to establish a new and efficient analytical scheme for space fractional telegraph equation (FTE) by means of fractional Sumudu decomposition method (SDM). The fractional SDM gives us an approximate convergent series solution. The stability of the analytical scheme is also studied. The approximate solutions obtained by SDM show that the approach is easy to implement and computationally very much attractive. Further, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the accuracy and stability for linear and nonlinear cases.

This study presents two new numerical techniques for solving time-fractional one-dimensional cable differential equation (FCE) modeling neuronal dynamics. We have introduced new formulations for the approximate-analytical solution of the FCE by using modified homotopy perturbation method defined with conformable operator (MHPMC) and reduced differential transform method defined with conformable operator (RDTMC), which are derived the solutions for linear-nonlinear fractional PDEs.
