In order to make full use of coal gangue generated in coal mining and support the carbon neutral policy, the road section K128+573–K128+740 of Anshao Highway (Anhua-shaoyang, Hunan Province)was filled by coal gangue, and the embankment slope was enhanced by gabion net. The basic characteristics of coal gangue were obtained by its chemical composition and gradation, and shear characteristics of gabion reinforced coal gangue were tested by large-scale direct shearing instrument. In order to reveal the heat transfer performance of the horizontal buried pipe heat exchanger in the ground source heat pump system in different soil types, this paper, based on the theoretical knowledge of soil capillary water, combined with the means of numerical simulation, discusses the influence of the difference of three-phase composition in different types of energy storage soil on the heat transfer characteristics of the horizontal buried pipe heat exchanger. The exploration of low rank coal coalbed methane(CBM) faces the problems of low resource exploration rate and low single well production. And medium and low rank coal CBM exploration is still in the primary stage. Due to the recent power events in Texas, power forecasting has been brought national attention. Accurate demand forecasting is necessary to be sure that there is adequate power supply to meet consumer's needs. While Texas has a forecasting model created by the Electricity Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), constant efforts are required to ensure that the model stays at the state-of-the-art and is producing the most reliable forecasts possible. The aim of this thesis is to analyze state-specific Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) to understand their design and spillover effect onto non-utility (commercial, residential, industrial) sectors. Past research has overlooked non-utility sectors, often focusing on overall renewable energy growth and electricity generation from a combined end-result perspective. Solar capacity and solar generated electricity data from 5 states are used to establish which non-utility sectors experienced the highest level of solar growth from RPSs and related policies between 2010 and 2019. In developed countries, electricity has been gaining popularity as a source of energy for meal preparation. Utilizing electricity produced from renewable resources along with efficient electrical cooking appliances could result in sustainable clean cooking. The first objective of this research was to study the efficiency of common electrical cooking appliances—namely induction, resistance plate, resistance coil, infrared, and electric pot— by the water boiling test and the simmering test. A country’s dependency on energy resources can be interpreted through the calculation of energy indices. The Demotechnic Index (DI) was used to determine the trajectory of energy efficiency of each state in the United States over the period 1960-2019. The DI serves as a measure of the energy intensity of states and a proxy for energy sustainability of each state.The DI is the ratio of total energy use to total metabolic energy demand of a population. The data describe characteristics, operations, utilities, and fuels used in the production of 115 manufacturing and agro-industrial firms in Philippine special economic zones. The data include information on the firm's production, sales, and schedules; electricity sources, requirements, and uses; the importance of various conventional fuels, and the firms’ fuel expenditure in their major production processes. The data also include their employee's aptitude, knowledge, considerations, and opinions on alternative fuels and primary energies, and experiences in using them. Mining operations cause volumetric deformations within the rock mass and changes in its density, to which the gravimetric method is sensitive. These changes are particularly well seen in periodic measurements of the local gravity field. The paper analyses the relationship between the movement of a longwall in a coal seam and the change in the distribution of the gravity field in time and space observed on the ground surface. A variety of process configurations are employed at municipal water reclamation facilities (WRFs), such as 5-stage Bardenpho, oxidation ditch, modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) process, and sidestream recycle. However, all of these configurations face certain challenges in achieving optimum treatment of nitrogen and phosphorus. The remediation of heavy metal Cd contamination in municipal waste is one of the urgent environmental problems in China. To determine the best Cd pollution remediation technology, this paper investigates the applicability of various cadmium(Cd) remediation techniques in river treatment. These remediation methods are compared and analyzed based on the dredged river sediments after land disposal in a city in East China. Three remediation techniques of stabilization, soil leaching, and phytoremediation, are compared by analyzing the performance of the techniques for Cd-contaminated soil remediation. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the existing electrical prospecting technology in coal mines, such as multiple construction of electrical sounding, electrical profile and electrical penetration and a scarcity of data collected, an integrated electrical prospecting system is successfully designed, absorbing the idea of parallel electrical data acquisition, and applying the "rectangular wave" electrode layout mode combined with the "multi device data extraction" technology. The overlying bedrock composite aquifer(including weathered bedrock and burnt rock aquifer) in the concealed burnt zone of coal seams is one of the main threats to coal mining. It is of great significance to clarify the water enrichment of the concealed burnt zone for the prevention and control of coal mine water hazards.
