With the rapid growth in the usage of the Internet, criminals have found new ways to engage in cyber-attacks. The most common and widespread attack is URL phishing. The proposed system focuses on improving phishing website detection using feature selection and ensemble learning. This model uses two datasets, DS-30 and DS-50, each with 30 and 50 features. Ensemble learning using a voting classifier was then applied to train the model, achieving more accuracy. The combination of HEFS with random forest distribution achieved 94.6% accuracy while minimizing the number of features used (20.8% of the base feature set). The classifier works …

Global warming is having a significant impact on all aspects of human production and life. This study employs a cross-sectional analysis to investigate the temporal dynamics of average temperature changes in Henan Province, China, from 1851 to 2012. Utilizing the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Data and the Daily Meteorological Dataset of China National Surface Weather Station v3.0, we applied regression analysis, Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA), and Nonlinear Autoregressive Network (NAR) models to predict temperature trends. This study aims to share the students' experiences developing a website using Wix, a user-friendly website builder. The website was assigned as a project-based assessment of one of the courses required to complete a Foundation programme. We introduce a novel integration of real-time, predictive eye-gaze tracking models into a multimodal dialogue system tailored for remote health assessments. This system is designed to be highly accessible requiring only a conventional webcam for video input along with minimal cursor interaction and utilizes engaging gaze-based tasks that can be performed directly in a web browser. This paper presents the pilot implementation of AI Based Citizen Question-Answer Recommender (ACQAR) as an attempt to enhance citizen service delivery within a Singaporean government agency. Drawing insights from previous studies on the Empath library's use in Service Level Agreement (SLA) prediction and the implementation of the Citizen Question-Answer system (CQAS), we redesigned the pilot system, ACQAR. Automated approaches to cyber security based on machine learning will be necessary to combat the next generation of cyber-attacks. Current machine learning tools, however, are difficult to develop and deploy due to issues such as data availability and high false positive rates. Generative models can help solve data-related issues by creating high quality synthetic data for training and testing. Furthermore, some generative architectures are multipurpose, and when used for tasks such as intrusion detection, can outperform existing classifier models. This paper demonstrates how the future of cyber security stands to benefit from continued research on generative models.

Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI) people find challenges in navigating unfamiliar environments, even using assistive tools such as white canes or smart devices. Increasingly affordable quadruped robots offer us opportunities to design autonomous guides that could improve how BVI people find ways around unfamiliar environments and maneuver therein. In this work, we designed RDog, a quadruped robot guiding system that supports BVI individuals’ navigation and obstacle avoidance in indoor and outdoor environments. This study compares the performance of deep learning models, including Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), and Transformer, in predicting stock prices across five companies (AAPL, CSCO, META, MSFT, and TSLA) from July 2019 to July 2023. Key findings reveal that GRU models generally exhibit the lowest Mean Absolute Error (MAE), indicating higher precision, particularly notable for CSCO with a remarkably low MAE. While LSTM models often show slightly higher MAE values, they outperform Transformer models in capturing broader trends and variance in stock prices, as evidenced by higher R-squared (R2) values. Digital Democracy is a CalMatters and California Polytechnic State University initia-
tive to promote transparency in state government by increasing access to the Califor-
nia legislature. While Digital Democracy is made up of many resources, one founda-
tional step of the project is obtaining accurate, timely transcripts of California Senate
and Assembly hearings. The information extracted from these transcripts provides
crucial data for subsequent steps in the pipeline. In the context of Digital Democracy,
upleveling is when humans verify, correct, and annotate the transcript results after
the legislative hearings have been automatically transcribed. The upleveling process

Rapid transit is one of Malaysia's most important transportation modes, where commuters use public transportation to travel. Any disruption in the rapid transit service affects their daily routines. Therefore, detecting such service disruption has become fundamental. In this study, the disruption in Malaysia's rapid transit service was assessed using English and Manglish (a combination of English and Malay) tweets through Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). The gathered tweets were classified into event and non-event tweets and LDA was applied to the event tweets.
