Access control models and implementation guidelines for determining, provisioning, and de-provisioning user permissions are challenging due to the differing approaches, unique for each organization, the lack of information provided by case studies concerning the organization’s security policies, and no standard means of implementation procedures or best practices. Although there are multiple access control models, one stands out, role-based access control (RBAC). RBAC simplifies maintenance by enabling administrators to group users with similar permissions. Industries are not incentivized to price reasonably and spend responsibly if consumers do not have the ability to shop around within that industry, and shopping around is not possible without pricing transparency (knowing how much a good or service costs before purchasing it). But in the healthcare industry, we typically default to whichever clinic or hospital is closest, with no prior knowledge of what costs we can expect to incur at that particular institution. Building on insights from two years of manually extracting events information from online news media, an interactive information extraction environment (IIEE) was developed. SCOPE, the Scientific Collection of Open-source Policy Evidence, is a Python Django-based tool divided across specialized modules for extracting structured events data from unstructured text. These modules are grouped into a flexible framework which enables the user to tailor the tool to meet their needs.
