Ai Usage In Development, Security, And Operations, Maurice Ayidiya
Ai Usage In Development, Security, And Operations, Maurice Ayidiya
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a growing field in information technology (IT). Cybersecurity managers are concerned that the lack of strategies to incorporate AI technologies in developing secure software for IT operations may inhibit the effectiveness of security risk mitigation. Grounded in the technology acceptance model, the purpose of this qualitative exploratory multiple case study was to explore strategies cybersecurity professionals use to incorporate AI technologies in developing secure software for IT operations. The participants were 10 IT professionals in the United States with at least 5 years of professional experience working in DevSecOps and managing teams of at least …

Factors Influencing The Effectiveness Of Managing Human–Robot Teams, Theodore B. Terry
Factors Influencing The Effectiveness Of Managing Human–Robot Teams, Theodore B. Terry
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Certain factors can influence the capabilities of a robot–human team by affecting their social and behavioral dynamics in a work environment. But these factors were not known due to the progressive nature of human–robot partnerships and a lack of peer-reviewed literature on the topic. This e-Delphi study aimed to identify and understand these unknown influential factors based on the participants’ insights. The overarching research question asked about the need to determine factors that might influence the effectiveness of managing human-robot teams. The basis for the conceptual framework for this study was the theory of communication used in organizational management. Twelve …
The Digitization Of Court Processes In African Regional And Subregional Judicial Institutions, Frederic Drabo
The Digitization Of Court Processes In African Regional And Subregional Judicial Institutions, Frederic Drabo
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Despite information technology (IT) officers’ multiple efforts to develop reliable and efficient electronic justice (e-justice) systems, digitizing court processes still presents several quality challenges associated with IT infrastructure and literacy issues. Grounded in the principles of total quality management, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to identify strategies and best practices IT officers in African regional economic communities (REC) use for digitizing regional and subregional court processes to improve African e-justice systems. The participants included four IT officers working as assistant computer system analysts (ACSA), computer system analysts (CSA), and heads of IT (HIT) in regional and …
Factors That Influence Throughput On Cloud-Hosted Mysql Server, Eric Brown
Factors That Influence Throughput On Cloud-Hosted Mysql Server, Eric Brown
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Many businesses are moving their infrastructure to the cloud and may not fully understand the factors that can increase costs. With so many factors available to improve throughput in a database, it can be difficult for a database administrator to know which factors can provide the best efficiency to maintain lower costs. Grounded in Six Sigma theoretical framework, the purpose of this quantitative, quasi-experimental study was to evaluate the relationship between the time of day, the number of concurrent users, InnoDB buffer pool size, InnoDB Input/Output capacity, and MySQL transaction throughput to a MySQL database running on a cloud, virtual, …
Examination Of Adoption Theory On The Devops Practice Of Continuous Delivery, Andrew John Anderson
Examination Of Adoption Theory On The Devops Practice Of Continuous Delivery, Andrew John Anderson
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Many organizations have difficulty adopting advanced software development practices. Some software development project managers in large organizations are not aligned with the relationship between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, as moderated by experience, with intent to adopt the DevOps practice of continuous delivery. The purpose of this study was to examine the statistical relationships between the independent variablesâperformance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, as moderated by experienceâand the dependent variable of behavioral intent to adopt a continuous delivery system. Venkatesh, Morris, Davis, and Davis's unified theory of acceptance and use of technology provided …
Evaluating Intention To Use Remote Robotics Experimentation In Programming Courses, Pericles Leng Cheng
Evaluating Intention To Use Remote Robotics Experimentation In Programming Courses, Pericles Leng Cheng
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The Digital Agenda for Europe (2015) states that there will be 825,000 unfilled vacancies for Information and Communications Technology by 2020. This lack of IT professionals stems from the small number of students graduating in computer science. To retain more students in the field, teachers can use remote robotic experiments to explain difficult concepts. This correlational study used the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to examine if performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions can predict the intention of high school computer science teachers in Cyprus, to use remote robotic experiments in their classes. …
An Analysis Of The Technological, Organizational, And Environmental Factors Influencing Cloud Adoption, Joe Malak
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Cloud computing provides an answer to the increasing costs of managing information technology (IT), and has become a model that aligns IT services with an organization's business strategies. However, concerns and uncertainties associated with cloud computing are deterring IT decision makers from making sound decisions regarding the adoption of the technology. The purpose of this online survey study was to examine the relationship between relative advantage, compatibility, organizational size, top management support, organizational readiness, mimetic pressure, normative pressures, coercive pressure, and the IT decision makers' intent to adopt cloud computing. The theoretical framework incorporated the diffusion of innovations theory, a …
An Evaluation Of Robotics In Nursing Homes To Reduce Adverse Drug Events, Ozell Ueal Jr.
An Evaluation Of Robotics In Nursing Homes To Reduce Adverse Drug Events, Ozell Ueal Jr.
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Adverse drug events (ADE) cause many deaths annually in addition to affecting the quality of life of many others. The descriptive mixed methods approach, specifically exploratory case study and experimental design that guided this research utilized the survey and focus group methods to evaluate perceptions about robotic technology (RT) to reduce the rate of ADEs in U.S. nursing homes (NH). There is a lack of scholarly research into whether a conceptual approach rooted in RT can be implemented to assist with drug administrations in NHs. The purpose of this study was twofold. The first purpose was to evaluate the causes …
