Sequential Convex Programming Using Safe Flight Corridor For Trajectory Planning Of Uavs, Zhu Wang, Zhenpeng Zhang, Mengtong Zhang, Guangtong Xu
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the issues of sensitivity to initial values and weak convergence of sequential convex programming(SCP) based time-optimal trajectory planning for UAVs, a SCP method using safety flight corridor, denoted as SFC-SCP(safe flight corridor-sequential convex programming) is proposed. According to the obstacle avoidance path obtained from the front-end path planning, a safe flight corridor is constructed by forming a convex polygon safe flight area without obstacles for each trajectory point. The non-convex obstacle avoidance constraint is converted into linear inequality constraints to improve convergence ability. The rear-end SCP method is used to transform the nonlinear trajectory optimization problem under …

Through the allocation mechanism and the bidding mechanism, the method realizes the task reallocation of damaged agents with lower communication cost and faster speed comparing with baseline methods. In the …

The initial solution is generated by greedy algorithm in the first stage. In the second stage, we develop a Tabu search algorithm with genetic algorithm (TSGA) hybrid. This enhanced algorithm integrates a taboo list and employs advanced chromosome …

Through the construction of 3D simulation experiments, the planning and optimization of collective mechanical prop performance behavior in the model are analyzed. Similarity evaluation is used to compare …

During path points extension, non-target sampling points are guided in the direction of the target point, thereby enhancing the algorithm's ability to search for the target during random sampling and extension processes. A …

Do “Say-On-Pay” Votes Affect M&A Decisions?, Shantanu Dutta, Micah S. Officer, Ruixiang Wang, Pengcheng Zhu
Finance Faculty Works
This paper demonstrates that firms receiving above-industry-average support in their “say-on-pay” (SoP) votes engage in more M&A transactions in the subsequent year. Our empirical findings suggest that high levels of SoP voting support may boost managerial confidence, thereby stimulating increased pursuit of acquisitions. Moreover, we observe that managers garnering higher SoP vote support are more likely to secure shareholders' backing in M&A votes, receive higher compensation in successful deals, and face a reduced likelihood of forced turnover following unsuccessful deals. Additionally, we find that both short-term and long-term M&A performance significantly improves in deals announced by managers receiving higher SoP …

Classifying Items With The Rating Values 3 Using Text Reviews To Improve The Recommendation Accuracy In The Collaborative Filtering Approach, Ali Mohsin Ahmed Al-Sabaawi, Mohsin Hasan Hussein, Muyassar Dalli
Karbala International Journal of Modern Science
Collaborative filtering is a common aspect recently used in e-commerce to increase sales and overcome information overload. One significant limitation in collaborative filtering is data sparseness. Several studies have proposed alleviating this issue by utilizing extra information such as users’ reviews. However, the researchers have been concerned with using entire reviews irrespective of the users’ ratings. This requires extra processing time and might perplex the recommendation decision. In this study, after analyzing the users’ ratings and reviews, it was noted that when the rating values are 4 or 5, most of the reviews accompanying these ratings are positive. Otherwise, when …

Nuclear receptor binding set domain protein 2 (NSD2) plays a key role in chromatin regulation and is associated with different cancers and other developmental problems. Berries are rich in major secondary metabolites with anticancer properties. Here, we virtually screened 145 berry phytochemicals as putative NSD2 inhibitors via structure-based virtual screening, molecular docking, MD simulations, and DFT and ADMET analyses. Among them, α-carotene had the maximum docking score of -9.9 kcal/mol, followed by sulfuretin and β-amyrin. MD simulation analysis revealed that the dynamic behavior of the ligand‒NSD2 complexes was within the limit, indicating no significant changes in the structural integrity of …
