Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Overflow dam is one of hydraulic structures widely used in the water conservancy projects. The surface structure of overflow dam and the open mode of sluice gate have huge influence to the flood flow. The Navier-Stokes equation was used as the turbulence control equation. The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method was used to simulate the 3D flood flow. The shape of water flow and the distribution of pressure and the distribution of flow velocity were respectively analyzed in the case of different gate opening state. The experimental results show that the virtual simulation of overflow dam is the same as …

3d Model Retrieval Based On Hand-Drawn Sketches, Dianhui Mao, Huanpu Yin, Haisheng Li, Cai Qiang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Currently, retrieve 3d models use hand-drawn sketch as query has become an active research field. In the Bag of Feature (BoF) framework, the granularity of the distinction and expression brought by the "hard clustering" is insufficient. To solve this problem, a new method was proposed: GALIF feature was extracted from each sketch and the set of view images of models. BOF was replaced by a feature coding based on “soft clustering”--Gaussian mixture model. A fast and effective manifold ranking algorithm was used to calculate the manifold similarity between images, giving the final retrieve results. The previous methods …

The decomposition multi-scale coefficients were fused twice using various local activity measures. The …
Novel View Synthesis - A Neural Network Approach, Hoang Le
Novel View Synthesis - A Neural Network Approach, Hoang Le
Dissertations and Theses
Novel view synthesis is an important research problem in computer vision and computational photography. It enables a wide range of applications including re-cinematography, video enhancement, virtual reality, etc. These algorithms leverage a pre-acquired set of images taken from a set of viewpoints to synthesize another image at a novel viewpoint as if it was captured by a real camera. To synthesize a high-quality novel view, these algorithms often assume a static scene, or the images were captured synchronously. However, the scenes in practice are often dynamic, and taking a dense set of images of these scenes at the same moment …

Qwasi: The Quantum Walk Simulator, Warren V. Wilson
Theses and Dissertations
As quantum computing continues to evolve, the ability to design and analyze novel quantum algorithms becomes a necessary focus for research. In many instances, the virtues of quantum algorithms only become evident when compared to their classical counterparts, so a study of the former often begins with a consideration of the latter. This is very much the case with quantum walk algorithms, as the success of random walks and their many, varied applications have inspired much interest in quantum correlates. Unfortunately, finding purely algebraic solutions for quantum walks is an elusive endeavor. At best, and when solvable, they require simple …
