Fluid simulation is a cornerstone of computer graphics, enabling the realistic depiction of dynamic phenomena such as smoke, fire, and other gaseous behaviours. This thesis focuses on advancing Eulerian smoke simulation techniques, with a particular emphasis on grid-based simulations that capture intricate vortical structures and fine visual details.

We propose several detail-preserving frameworks that incorporate various scalar and vector fields within the simulation pipeline, including velocity, impulse, and Lamb vectors, along with their decompositions and transformed representations. On the surface of the Greenland ice sheet or around the margins of the Antarctic ice shelf, water infiltrates porous ice. It is important to understand this infiltration process since water populating the pore space of ice directly impacts the density, porosity, and wetness of ice. These properties influence the mechanics and tensile strength of ice, as greater amounts of infiltration result in faster or more widespread deformation events, which may lead to adverse climatic effects such as sea level rise and ocean current disruption. Gaming platforms such as Steam foster unprecedented amounts of engagement among players worldwide daily. In this thesis, we investigate the effect of incorporating sentiment-driven metrics, specifically YouTube view counts and positive reviews, into predictive models for game popularity. In addition, by comparing our linear regression sentiment-based approach to the Bayesian hierarchical folded normal model used by De Luisa et al. A number of infectious diseases cause post-infection conditions or complications, such as COVID- 19, Q fever, and Polio. These conditions result in recovered individuals having a higher mortality rate than susceptibles, and this can impact disease dynamics. An existing mass-action model in the literature that incorporated post-infection mortality was shown to have limit cycles, or persistent oscillations, in the infected population. To better understand what causes these limit cycles, we develop and analyze a new epidemiological model with standard incidence. In this paper, we discuss the unsteady two-layer electroosmotic flow (EOF) of the Jeffrey fluid in a vertical porous nanochannel, taking into account the effect of the heat transfer and alternating current (AC) electric fields. In this model, the two layers have different densities and viscosities. The finite difference method is used to solve the governing equations of electrical potential, velocity, and temperature. The results show that the Debye-Hückel parameter is significant in managing electroosmotic flow (EOF) because it affects the electrical double layer (EDL) compression and velocity gradients on the wall. Physical simulations always need to balance accuracy and run-time. This work implements the Parareal Algorithm using graphics processing units across a distributed system to accurately simulate time-dependent physics while attempting to minimize runtime. Data-transfer latency is identified as the primary bottleneck, for which mitigation methods are provided. Benchmarks comparing single-GPU and distributed implementations on a spectrum of coarse and fine discretizations are analyzed.

That ledger is what we call socio-spatial data: simple facts about what a home is (its age), where it sits (latitude/longitude), how easy it is to get around (distance to the nearest MRT station), what’s nearby (number of convenience stores), and when it sold (transaction date). Philosophy, long defined by its pursuit of truth, has historically been a battleground for dichotomies: truth vs. falsehood, materialism vs. idealism, reason vs. emotion. These oppositions often provide a framework for understanding philosophical discourse, but they fail to capture the full nuances of reality. To challenge these binary oppositions, I introduced the neutrosophic perspective in philosophy, rooted in Mathematics, and Many-Valued Logics.1 By emphasizing the interrelation of affirmation, negation, and neutrality, neutrosophy allows for the reconciliation of seemingly irreconcilable viewpoints, providing a new lens through which to reinterpret age-old philosophical questions.

A recent simulation-based classical analysis has been developed for interval data. However, a review of the literature indicates that these existing simulations have notable limitations and fail to conform to the neutrosophic statistical framework. In this paper, we propose a novel simulation process designed to analyze neutrosophic data within an appropriate and rigorous neutrosophic framework. We demonstrate that the proposed simulation is more comprehensive and aligns closely with the principles of neutrosophic theory. Akito Takahashi's Tetrahedral Symmetric Condensate (TSC) model, detailed in several of his earlier works1 proposes a mechanism for condensed matter nuclear science (CMNS) aka. low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) within palladium lattices. The model centres on the formation of a tetrahedral cluster of deuterons, enhancing the probability of nuclear fusion. Here, we explore the possibility of extending this framework by considering the TSC within a more general crystalline solid with tetrahedral symmetry, and by approximating the screening potential experienced by the deuterons using PT-symmetric potentials.

This study addresses the ambiguities in empirical findings on artificial intelligence (AI) in education by proposing a new methodological framework that combines neutrosophic stance detection and Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA). This approach explicitly models truth, indeterminacy, and falsity, allowing for the synthesis of contradictory research. The authors evaluated four causal hypotheses related to AI-based learning, using a survey of 24 university participants to explore the necessary conditions for perceived learning improvements. This short note explores some nuanced principles governing philosophical thought, summarized in the proposed “philosophical formulas.” These formulas are intended to mathematically and conceptually express the tensions, complementarities, and movements intrinsec in a given philosophical system.

The indicators used so far within the Theory of Extension can be synthetically expressed by the notion of “position indicators”. More exactly, these indicators can be grouped in two main sub-categories: point-set position indicators and point-two sets position indicators. The secondary goal of this paper is to define these classifications, while the primary goal is that to extend the two notions to the most general notion of set-set position indicator.
