We investigate the relationship between the level of a bounded complex over a commutative ring with respect to the class of Gorenstein projective modules and other invariants of the complex or ring, such as projective dimension, Gorenstein projective dimension, and Krull dimension. The results build upon work done by J. Christensen [7], H. Altmann et al. [1], and Avramov et al. [4] for levels with respect to the class of finitely generated projective modules.

When planning or conducting research in the hospital setting, often termed Real-World Environment (RWE), therapeutic assumptions and outcomes are often different than in the Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) where medications, devices and therapies are tested and developed. In this paper I will explain the AlphaGo family of algorithms starting from first principles and requiring little previous knowledge from the reader. The focus will be upon one of the more recent versions AlphaZero but I hope to explain the core principles that allowed these algorithms to be so successful. In this work, two iterative methods, based on Newton’s method, to obtain the numerical solutions of nonlinear equations have been constructed. We proved that our methods converge in fifth and eleventh orders. Analytical investigation has been established to show that our schemes have higher efficiency indexes than some recent methods. Numerical examples are experimented to investigate the performance of the proposed schemes. Moreover, the theoretical order of convergence is verified in the experiment work.

This study views pressure more broadly to examine how the external pressure of fans, quantified using the sentiment of tweets mentioning the players, can affect how MLB players perform. Shocks are physical phenomenon that occur quite often around us. In this thesis we examine the occurrence of shocks in finite amplitude acoustic waves from a numerical perspective. These waves, or jump discontinuities, yield ill-behaved solutions when solved numerically. This study takes on the challenge of finding both single- and multi-valued solutions.

Motivated by the Beck-Fiala conjecture, we study the discrepancy problem in two related models of random hypergraphs on n vertices and m edges. In the first (edge-independent) model, a random hypergraph H1 is constructed by fixing a parameter p and allowing each of the n vertices to join each of the m edges independently with probability p.
