Electron Exchange Between Impurity Centers Of Tin In Pbs And Pbse, S. Zaynabiddinov, K. Bobokhujaev
Bulletin of National University of Uzbekistan: Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Electron exchange between neutral and doubly ionized U-minus centers of tin in par-tially compensated solid solutions Pb1-xSnxS and Pb1-xSnxSe has been investigated using 119mmSn(119mSn) emission Mössbauer spectroscopy. The activation energy of the process for Pb1-xSnxS solid solutions is 0.11 ± 0.02 eV and is comparable to the depth of energy levels of tin in the PbS band gap, while the activation energy of this process for Pb1-xSnxSe solid solutions is comparable to the activation energy of donor U-minus centers …
A Nonlinear Approximate Solution To The Damped Pendulum Derived Using The Method Of Successive Approximations, Justin A. Hill, Javier E. Hasbun 8394092
A Nonlinear Approximate Solution To The Damped Pendulum Derived Using The Method Of Successive Approximations, Justin A. Hill, Javier E. Hasbun 8394092
Georgia Journal of Science
An approximate analytic solution to the damped pendulum is derived using the method of successive approximations to obtain a nonlinear approximation for the system. We take the approximate solution to the undamped pendulum using the method of successive approximations and compare it to the damped pendulum solution when a linear approximation is used. By looking at these two solutions, we can make an educated guess about the form of the general, approximate solution to the nonlinear damped pendulum. By adjusting the initial guesses and the initial conditions, we derive approximate solutions in three ways. Using MATLAB, the approximate solutions are …
Metal-Insulator Transitions And Nanoscale Phase Separation In Various Underdoped Cuprates, S. Dzhumanov, U. T. Kurbanov
Metal-Insulator Transitions And Nanoscale Phase Separation In Various Underdoped Cuprates, S. Dzhumanov, U. T. Kurbanov
Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
We demonstrate that the unconventional electron-phonon interactions, charge inhomogeneity and charge ordering in underdoped cuprates play an important role in metal-insulator transitions and nanoscale phase separation. In so doing, we argue that charge carriers (i.e. hole polarons) in these systems segregate into insulating (carrier-poor) and metallic/superconducting (carrier-rich) regions as a result of their specific ordering. We show that the metal-insulator transitions, nanoscale phase separation and coexisting insulating and metallic/superconducting phases are manifested in the unusual temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility and resistivity and in the suppression of superconductivity in various underdoped cuprates.

At room temperature, the alloys are a mixture of three phases of copper sulfide - the monoclinic phase of Na2Cu4S3 , the hexagonal phase of Cu2S and the cubic phase of Cu9S5 (digenite). The predominant phase is Na2Cu4S3 (with content from 57 to 85 volume %). The particle sizes in the compacted samples lie in the range from 20 to 400 nm. …
Neutrino Oscillation Induced By Horizontal Symmetry, X. Wang, Y. Li, X. Chen
Neutrino Oscillation Induced By Horizontal Symmetry, X. Wang, Y. Li, X. Chen
Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
To obtain the interactions which cause neutrino flavor conversion, we introduce a horizontal symmetry into the standard model (SM) and propose the hypothesis that new interactions generated by the horizontal symmetry lead to neutrino flavor conversion and oscillation. To support our hypothesis, we evaluate the flavor conversion probability by new interactions by utilizing the definition of cross section, and the prediction is consistent to experimental data. From our hypothesis, neutrino oscillation is fluctuation of flavor distribution before arriving at equilibrium.

The paper presents the results of investigations of the structure and phase composition of titanium boride coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering from a target of a complex composition onto a steel substrate. The target for magnetron sputtering was obtained by sintering boron carbide and titanium powders. The structure and elemental composition of the coating were studied using X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the energy-dispersive spectral (EDS). It was established that the coatin g structure is a mixture of Ti2B5 and TiB12 phases with the total boron content of ≈ 80 at %, which …

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
The article examines the changes of the structural-phase states and the microhardness of the R6M5 steel surface layer after electrolytic-plasma nitriding. It is found that after electrolytic-plasma nitriding of the R6M5 steel surface, diffusion layer is formed, which is a nitrogen martensite. The phase composition of the diffusion layer varies depending on the nitriding temperature. An increase of R6M5 steel microhardness, depending on structural-phase state, is found out. The main factor, in fluencing the increase of microhardness of R6M5 high-speed steel with electrolytic-plasma nitriding, is the formation of nitro . gen martensite with monophasic nitride Fe4N ( γ-phase), …

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
The X-ray luminescence spectra at low temperature (90K) uniaxial deformation were researched for KI and KI-Na crystals, that were stored for more than 10 years. The following regularities were observed: firstly, the intensities of the intrinsic emission bands at 3.3 eV (π) and 4.1 eV ( σ ) become equal in com- parison with freshly grown crystals; and secondly, with an increase in the degree of low-temperature uniaxial deformation, a gradual shift of the emission spectra occurs in two directions: the luminescence maximum at 3.3 eV shifts towards short wavelengths, the final position is fixed at 3.9 eV, which prac- …

Structural Evolution Of Ceramic Coatings Produced By Mechanical Alloying Technique, Zh. B. Sagdoldina, B. K. Rakhadilov, O. A. Stepanova, A. Maulit
Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
The article researches formation of ceramic coatings of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) on the X12CrNi1810Ti steel surface after mechanical alloying. Study of coatings’ surface showed coalescence of defected coating’s particles with created subgrains and this process is more representative due to different toughness of zirconium oxide and steel. It is suggested that adhesive bond between the coating and support structure is provided by strain welding of the powder on the support structure coating. When using X-phase analysis neither diffusive mixing of coating/support structure components or formation of new compounds and phase changes was revealed. Surface contamination of the coating …
New Mechanism For Accelerated Removal Of Excess Radiogenic Heat, Russell Humphreys
New Mechanism For Accelerated Removal Of Excess Radiogenic Heat, Russell Humphreys
Proceedings of the International Conference on Creationism
In a technical paper (Humphreys, 2014), I presented Biblical and scientific evidence that (a) space is a physical material that we do not perceive, (b) this fabric of space, and objects within it, are thin in a 4th spatial direction we do not ordinarily perceive, and (c) the fabric is surrounded by a hyperspace of four spatial dimensions. End note 27 of the paper explained that light emitted by objects within the fabric ordinarily would be constrained to travel entirely within the fabric. The end note also proposed that under certain extraordinary conditions the Bible calls the opening of the …
Modeling Of Flood And Post-Flood Ocean Floor Cooling, William J. Worraker, Richard Ward
Modeling Of Flood And Post-Flood Ocean Floor Cooling, William J. Worraker, Richard Ward
Proceedings of the International Conference on Creationism
Given that the earth’s ocean basins are geologically young, few areas being older than early Jurassic, and that most creation scientists regard Jurassic rocks as Flood deposits, these basins must have formed during and since the Flood, i.e. within no more than 4500 years. This paper represents a first attempt at modeling ocean basin formation by the separation of the continents and cooling of mantle material emplaced at spreading centres well within that limited time. We use a spreadsheet-based finite difference solution of the heat diffusion equation applied to a simple widely-used plate model of ocean lithosphere formation. Having verified …

Numerical Investigation Of Strength-Reducing Mechanisms Of Mantle Rock During The Genesis Flood, Noah Cho, John Baumgardner, Jesse Sherburn, Mark Horstemeyer
Proceedings of the International Conference on Creationism
This paper reports our efforts to model the effects of grain size, recrystallization, creep, and texture on overall rock strength within the Earth’s mantle during the Genesis Flood. Our study uses experimental rheological data obtained from the mineralogical literature for olivine, which is an important mantle mineral. We apply an Internal State Variable (ISV) constitutive model within the framework of the TERRA finite element code to capture the subscale structures and their associated dynamics, strength, and viscosity effects during the Flood episode. Our numerical investigations, in both 2D and 3D, that include the improved deformation model reveal even more clearly …
Effect Of Aerosol Distributions On Precipitation Patterns Needed For A Rapid Ice Age, Steven M. Gollmer
Effect Of Aerosol Distributions On Precipitation Patterns Needed For A Rapid Ice Age, Steven M. Gollmer
Proceedings of the International Conference on Creationism
Introduced in the Genesis Flood by Whitcomb and Morris (1961) and fleshed out by Oard (1979) a model for an ice age in the wake of the Genesis flood was used to explain the evidence of glaciation in Canada and the United States without resorting to eons of time. It was proposed that this rapid ice age was the consequence of post flood warm oceans, barren land and volcanic aerosols. The impact of warm oceans was simulated by Vardiman (1998) and Gollmer (2013) using climate models. Although warm oceans increase precipitation in the Arctic, global surface temperatures become unbearably hot …

Fuel Flow Reduction Impact Analysis Of Drag Reducing Film Applied To Aircraft Wings, Damon Resnick, Chris Donlan, Nimish Sakalle, Cody Pinkerman
SMU Data Science Review
In this paper, we present an analysis of flight data in order to determine whether the application of the Edge Aerodynamix Conformal Vortex Generator (CVG), applied to the wings of aircraft, reduces fuel flow during cruising conditions of flight. The CVG is a special treatment and film applied to the wings of an aircraft to protect the wings and reduce the non-laminar flow of air around the wings during flight. It is thought that by reducing the non-laminar flow or vortices around and directly behind the wings that an aircraft will move more smoothly through the air and provide a …
Gamma-Ray Burst Classification: New Insights From Mining Pulse Data, Stanley Mcafee, Jon Hakkila
Gamma-Ray Burst Classification: New Insights From Mining Pulse Data, Stanley Mcafee, Jon Hakkila
Journal of the South Carolina Academy of Science
Despite being the most energetic electromagnetic explosions in the universe, gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are still poorly understood. The literature recognizes two potentially different types of GRB progenitors, although statistical data suggest the existence of three GRB classes. Reliable inference of GRB physics depends on the identification of appropriate classification attributes, as well as on the statistical classification techniques used. It has recently been shown that pulses are the basic unit of GRB emission. We use new data describing GRB pulse characteristics, in conjunction with data mining tools, to provide a more reliable gamma-ray burst classification system and place additional constraints …

Low Resolution Hi Imaging Of The Shield Galaxies, Masao L. Miazzo
Macalester Journal of Physics and Astronomy
We present low-resolution Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array D-configuration HI spectral line observations of 32 previously unobserved local-volume low-mass dwarf galaxies in the Survey of HI in Extremely Low-mass Dwarfs (SHIELD). SHIELD was designed to probe the physical characteristics of the objects that inhabit the faint end of the HI mass function as populated by the ALFALFA blind HI extragalactic survey. These low angular-resolution images localize the HI-gas and provide the first glimpse of the neutral interstellar medium in these sources. We quantify the total HI mass of each system, and, using SDSS imaging, we compare the HI and …

Actinometry Of Hydrogen Plasmas, A. M. Cotter, James Doyle
Macalester Journal of Physics and Astronomy
Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) can be used to map the electron energy distribution of hydrogen plasmas. Using actinometry, a type of OES where trace amounts of noble gases are introduced, the effect of discharge power on the electron temperature of hydrogen plasmas was explored. This was done using argon and krypton as actinometers for low pressure hydrogen plasmas. It was determined that the electron temperature decreased with respect to power supplied to the discharge.
Modeling Recombination In Solar Cells, Paul Chery
Modeling Recombination In Solar Cells, Paul Chery
Macalester Journal of Physics and Astronomy
Solar cells are a competitive alternative to nonrenewable energy sources such as fossil fuels. However, the efficiency of these devices is limited by photogenerated carrier recombination. We use a finite difference numerical model to study recombination phenomena in the absorber layer of solar cells including alternate recombination models and the effects of spatial distribution of recombination centers. We compare the effect of using the constant lifetime approximation for recombination to the full Shockley-Read-Hall expression in Silicon solar cells and find that the constant lifetime approximation holds for high defect densities but not for high photon flux densities. Finally, we simulate …

Scientific Journal of Samarkand University
For laser phosphate glasses activated by pairwise neodymium and cerium ions, a number of radiation-optical effects have been studied: thermal and thermoradiative decolorization in the region of 200-800 nm; jump-like switching of the valence of cerium ions during the valencecoordination change in its oxygen environment. A new conceptual approach is proposed to the mechanism of the thermoradiation effect of gamma irradiation at temperatures of 100- 400 C, leading to the detection of neodymium-neodymium and neodymium-cerium ion-ion coordination interactions in nano-structural complex complexes involving the structure of a glass matrix, Only thermoradiation exposure.

Current paper describes the experimental dual-purpose application of microwaves in a controlled clinical trial on optimizing therapy for chronic neurological disorders. As a part of integrated treatment, low-intensity microwave-assisted blood modification has been used. It represents a physiotherapeutic method based on the autologous blood transfusion (self-blood treatment) after the short-term exposure to microwaves ( lambda = 7.2 mm). Because of beneficial clinical impact of the microwave autohemotherapy previously observed, we aimed to find a possible way to track a manifestation of nonthermal microwave effects. For this purpose, we have applied a microwave single-frequency ( lambda = 7.6 mm) dielectrometry technique …

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials
The paper presents the dependence of the degradation degree in various aggressive media and time in a medium. The greatest deterioration in crystallographic characteristics of nanostructures in corrosive media is observed on the day 10th , which is due to partial destruction of the crystal structure as a result of oxidation processes. Also, an increase in the oxygen concentration in the structure leads to an increase in disorder regions, amorphization, and subsequent destruction of samples.
