Determining favorable factors in methane production from residual coal post-biohydrogen production holds great theoretical and practical significance for improving the efficiency of methane production in the second stage of coal-based poly-generation. This study focuses on residual coal after hydrogen generation through anaerobic fermentation. Using coal samples from the Baiyinhua open-pit mine in Inner Mongolia as fermentation substrates, this study explored the dynamic trends of both the methane production and structure of the residual coal under different conditions by altering the aeration conditions and hydraulic retention time (HRT). Key findings are as follows: (1) Among the experiment groups with different atmosphere …

Analysis On Working Characteristics Of Cam-Roller Impact Mechanism Of Rotary Percussion Drilling Tool, Sun Yangqing, Yi Xianzhong, Wan Jifang, Ma Jianqi, Wu Jiwei, Yi Jun, Yin Guangpin

Coal Geology & Exploration

Rotary percussion drilling tools can effectively improve their rock breaking efficiency in the deep and hard strata, thus having broad application prospects. The cam-roller is the key mechanism to realize the impact action, but the complex and changeable downhole environment leads to serious damage to the mechanism, which in turn affects the efficiency of rock breaking. Based on the test drilling data of rotary impact drilling tools in several wells, the cam-roller dynamics model was established, the working characteristics under different strokes, speeds and drilling pressures were analyzed by Autodyn (explicit dynamics), and the deformation characteristics of the mechanism were …

Seaver College Research And Scholarly Achievement Symposium

Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) like molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) possess unique electronic and optical properties, making them promising materials for nanotechnology. Photoluminescence (PL) is a key indicator of MoS2 crystal quality. This study aimed to develop a machine-learning model capable of predicting the peak PL wavelength of single MoS2 crystals based on micrograph analysis. Our limited ability to consistently synthesize high-quality MoS2 crystals hampered our ability to create a large set of training data. The project focus shifted towards improving MoS2 crystal synthesis to generate improved training data. We implemented a novel approach utilizing low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) combined with …

Research Symposium

Early cancer detection is paramount for effective treatment and potential cures. This research explores the application of perovskite materials, specifically Sr2+-doped Lanthanum Cobaltite (La1-xSrxCoO3) nanomaterials, in cancer detection, with a focus on rats as an experimental model. The ferroelectric nature of these materials, synthesized through a combination of sol-gel and molten-salt processes, was examined at varying Sr2+ doping levels (1-20 wt%). Rigorous characterization, employing X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, confirmed the uniform morphology of nano cubes, laying the foundation for subsequent investigations. The magnetic properties of the perovskite nanoparticles were probed, suggesting their potential as a diagnostic tool for …

Eurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials

Cux CrSe2 materials can exist in the form of delafossite with a layered structure and exhibit multiferroic properties, or in the form of spinel and exhibit ferromagnetic properties, depending on the copper concentration. The stability of both forms of Cux CrSe2 has been studied with regards to defectivity in the copper sublattice. The boundaries of the Cux CrSe2 homogeneity regions for the delafossite- like structure and for the cubic spinel CuCr2Se4 were determined by coulometric titration at room temperature. Analysis of the time dependence of cell polarization allowed us to estimate the diffusion coefficients in these materials

Will Saf Turbocharge The Corn Ethanol Market?, Richard Perrin, Lilyan Fulginiti, Felipe Miranda De Souza Almeida

Cornhusker Economics

The long-run outlook for the corn ethanol industry is questionable, due to a transition to electric and hybrid vehicles. One source of hope for the long run is the potential demand for producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). SAF is a key component in the United States Aviation Climate Action Plan, a path to net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the aviation industry by 2050. Demand for ethanol for SAF offers hope to the ethanol industry, but it depends a great deal on policy decisions that are being made now. Here we sketch out this story.

Based on the information available …

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: In recent years, human action recognition based on skeleton data has received a lot of attention in the fields of computer vision and human-computer interaction. Most of the existing methods focus on modeling the skeleton points in the original 3D coordinate space. However, skeleton points ignore the physical chain structure of the human body itself, which makes it difficult to portray the local correlation of human motion. In addition, due to the diversity of camera views, it is difficult to explore the comprehensive representation of actions in different views under the original point-based 3D space. In view of this, …
