Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan jus buah mangga dan apel terhadap  keasaman, total bakteri dan sineresis stirred yoghurt mangga dan apel yang dihasilkan dan selama proses penyimpanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga perlakuan yaitu stirred yoghurt mangga, stirred yoghurt apel dan kontrol. Stirred yoghurt yang dihasilkan disimpan selama 7 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan stirred yoghurt mangga (210 menit, pH=4,3) dan apel (210 menit, pH=4,2) terkoagulasi lebih cepat dan pada pH yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan control (250 menit, pH=4,4). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium Mikrobiologi dan Pengolahan Limbah Fakultas Peternakan universitas padjadjaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah total bakteri dan koliform pada lumpur hasil ikutan pembentukan gasbio dari feses sapi perah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksplorasi pada peternak sapi perah yang membuat instalasi gasbio di desa Haurngombong, Kecamatan Pamulihan-Sumedang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah bakteri total adalah 41,82 x 1012 cfu/ml lumpur, sedangkan jumlah 8,23 MPN/ml lumpur. Kata kunci : bakteri total, koliform, lumpur, gasbio, feses sapi perah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan berbagai tingkat asam sulfat (H2So4) dan asam formiat (HCOOH) pada proses pikel  terhadap kualitas kulit jadi (leather) Domba Garut. Kualitas Kulit jadi didasarkan pada kadar keasaman (pH), kadar krom (Cr2O3), dan kadar air (H2O). Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh suplemen Zn-Proteinat, Cu-Proteinat dan Ca-Minyak dalam ransum berbasis pucuk tebu diamoniasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan efisiensi ransum pada domba jantan persilangan Priangan x Barbados. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari potensi pakan asal limbah tanaman pangan dan daya dukungnya terhadap populasi ternak ruminansia di wilayah kabupaten Garut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara survey dan pengumpulan data sekunder.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Potensi pakan asal rumput alam dan jerami asal limbah tanaman pangan di seluruh wilayah kabupaten Garut adalah 414.211,1 ton bahan kering (BK) yang terdiri atas 151.395,6 ton BK asal rumput dan 262.815,5 ton BK asal limbah tanaman pangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung rajungan sebagai sumber kitin terhadap efisiensi pakan dan kandungan lemak feces tikus putih Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar. Pregnancy and estrous cycle management are critical considerations when feeding intact heifers in the feedyard. Alternatively, producers can opt to spay heifers, which eliminates hormonal fluctuations associated with the estrous cycle. A proportion of U.S. feedlots have spayed heifers on feed, although there is limited data comparing the performance of spayed heifers to intact heifers. A commercial feedlot experiment was conducted to compare performance between spayed and intact heifers fed melengestrol acetate. Background

Suppressing estradiol (E₂) during baboon pregnancy lowers offspring skeletal muscle capillary density, vital for insulin-mediated glucose uptake, and induces insulin resistance. We examined whether E₂ deprivation also impairs microvascular flow and cardiac function.

Methods

Offspring of untreated baboons, letrozole-treated baboons, or letrozole plus E₂ (maternal s.c. injections during the second half of gestation) underwent contrast-enhanced microbubble ultrasonography to quantify microvessel flow and echocardiography to assess cardiac performance.

Results

Letrozole reduced maternal serum E₂ by 95% (p <  0.01). In letrozole offspring, microbubble flux rate (β) fell 55% (p <  0.02), replenishment was 5 s slower (p <  0.03), and microvessel flow declined 40% (p = 0.05); all were restored by added E₂. Indices of systolic (isovolumic contraction), diastolic (isovolumic relaxation), global performance (Tei index), and cardiac output were unchanged.

Conclusion

Prolonged gestational E₂ deprivation programs a reduction in microvascular flow without altering cardiac function; maternal E₂ prevents this, supporting E₂'s role in …

This clinical trial investigated the effects of adding a Bacillus-based probiotic to the lactation diet of sows (without in-feed antibiotics) on maternal and piglet outcomes. A total of 109 Landrace × Yorkshire sows (parity 1–7) were assigned to either a control group (n = 61) or a treatment group (n = 48) receiving Bacillus subtilis – 541 and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens – 516. Septic peritonitis is a serious, life-threatening condition with a high mortality rate. Accurate diagnosis is crucial for the survival of the affected animal. The present study analyzed the use of a blood-to-fluid gradient of glucose and lactate as a biomarker in the diagnosis of septic peritonitis. Thirteen dogs with septic peritonitis and nine dogs with aseptic peritonitis were included in this study. Blood-to-fluid glucose gradient was significantly high, and blood-to-fluid lactate gradient was significantly low in septic peritonitis compared with the aseptic peritonitis. The present study evaluated the independent effects of ovarian characteristics and oral propylene glycol (PG) supplementation on pregnancy rates in suckled beef cows subjected to the 7-day CO-Synch + CIDR fixed-time AI (FTAI) protocol across different seasons, body condition scores (BCS; 5-point scale), and parturition-to-FTAI intervals. While most Moraxella spp. act as commensal respiratory and/or ocular flora of mammals, some are associated with disease. One of these diseases, infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK), has significant welfare and economic impacts to both cattle and cattle producers. This thesis investigates the therapeutic potential of Avaren-Fc (AvFc), a novel lectin fusion protein that integrates the Fc region of human IgG1 with the engineered lectin Avaren, specifically targeting lymphoma. The study delineates the in vitro binding capabilities of Avaren-Fc with a human B-cell lymphoma cell line, a canine B-cell lymphoma cell line, healthy canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), and healthy human PBMCs.
