The suicide rate among Asian American adolescents has sharply increased in recent years. This article examines the factors which influence suicidal ideation, predictors of suicide, and treatment approaches for Asian American adolescents. It is imperative that mental health professionals understand the risk factors which may predict suicidal ideation. Predictors of suicide for Asian American adolescents include mental health issues, family dynamics, and academic and societal expectations and perceived pressures. Asian American adolescents report higher levels of depression and anxiety than their European American counterparts. Counseling students and trainees often participate in different group activities where feedback exchange occurs. Barriers to receiving corrective feedback, in particular, may make such exchanges difficult. The purpose of this article is to explore the use of the Corrective Feedback Microlab as a group pretraining exercise to help increase the healthy exchange of corrective feedback.

The purpose of this quantitative causal-comparative and predictive correlational study was to investigate how online CSD graduate students compare to their face-to-face peers based on three measurable student outcomes with an additional investigation of how their age impacts these outcomes. This study is important because the number of online graduate programs in CSD is growing despite a lack of evidence in the research that online programs in this field have similar student outcomes as their face-to-face counterparts. Theoretical orientation is used to assist clinicians in understanding client behavior, treatment plan development, and evaluating treatment progress. Though the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) places a great emphasis on the importance of using theory in counseling, there is significant research that points to the existence of a gap between counseling theory and the application of theory within the therapeutic process (Murray, 2009; Proctor, 2004). This paper explores the new challenges that interdisciplinary health care training clinics have experienced for the respective disciplines of counseling and psychology amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous challenges among these disciplines has always included the differences in specialty areas, ethical codes; and practicum and internship requirements. Climate change and climate trauma are producing chronic anxiety, grief, despair, and depression, particularly among adolescents and children. Unfortunately, a sincere discussion of both the mental health implications of climate change and conceptualizations of working through climate trauma has been absent from the counseling literature. We address this gap by examining the impact of climate change on mental health, how individuals cope with climate trauma, and the strong potential of process-oriented group therapy to facilitate healing. Finally, we propose a group therapy model to address climate trauma with adolescents.

Of these feeding challenges, food selectivity is among the most prevalent (Leader et al., 2020) and is defined as food refusal or limited food repertoire (Bandini et al., 2017). Mild traumatic brain injury is a complex neurological disorder of significant concern among athletes who play contact sports. Athletes who sustain sport-related concussion typically undergo physical examination and neurocognitive evaluation to determine injury severity and return-to-play status. However, traumatic disruption to neurometabolic processes can occur with minimal detectable anatomic pathology or neurocognitive alteration, increasing the risk that athletes may be cleared for return-to-play during a vulnerable period and receive a repetitive injury. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique used in neurorehabilitation to enhance motor training. However, its benefits to motor training can be difficult to reproduce across research studies. The purpose of this study was to quantify characteristics of bimanual movement intensity during 30 h of hand-arm bimanual intensive therapy (HABIT) and bimanual performance (activities and participation) in real-world settings using accelerometers in children with unilateral cerebral palsy (UCP). Twenty-five children with UCP participated in a 30 h HABIT program. Data were collected from bilateral wrist-worn accelerometers during 30 h of HABIT to quantify the movement intensity and three days pre- and post-HABIT to assess real-world performance gains. Driving cessation, or the complete discontinuation of operating a vehicle, can result in a loss of independence and a decrease in life satisfaction (Chihuri, et al., 2016). This loss of independence is linked to a lack of knowledge on alternative options on community mobility (Liddle, et al., 2014). This leads to drivers to not want to stop driving when they are no longer safe to drive. Although there are some resources on driving cessation available online for guiding older adults in transition from driving to non-driving, they are not consolidated in one place for ease of understanding.
