Seizure is one of the complications after cerebrovascular accidents, but not all convulsions are epilepsy. Many other diseases such as vasovagal syncope, hypoglycemia and arrhythmia may cause seizure-like episodes. So, we must identify the actual cause to prevent inappropriate treatment.We report a 69 year-old male patient who was asmitted to rehabilitation department due to recurrent cerebrovascular accident with right hemiplegia. Loss of consciousness, myoclonic rhythmic jerk of left arm, upward gazing were noted frequently in upright and sitting position. Pigmented villonodular synovitis is an uncommon disorder characterized by synovial proliferation and hemosiderin deposition into the synovial lining of the affected joints, tendon sheaths and bursae. Its etiology is not fully known, however, inflammation, neoplasm and trauma have been postulated. It commonly affects the knee, hip, ankle and elbow joints, but rarely, the shoulder and its bursae. Shoulder pain is a common complication present in the stroke patients and its incidence varies from 5% to 84%. Although the American Physical Therapy Association has mandated a broader perspective, little primary prevention is yet being reported in the U. S. The purpose of this study was to investigate the treatment effect of Russian's electrical stimulative training program versus conventional exercise in muscle strengthening of quadriceps. Seventeen patients who had undergone surgery for fracture of lower leg or ACL, PCL reconstruction or repairment, were randomly divided into two groups; 7 patients served as a control group underwent isometric contraction of quadriceps, another 10 patients served as a study group underwent with maximal tolerable isometric contraction induced by Russian's E.S.. Lumbar spinal flexion and extension motion was measured radiographically and from the back surface curvature (using motion analysis system) for evaluating lumbar spinal mobility (LSM). Twenty-four volunteers participated in this study and underwent lateral spinal radiographs and photographs in three postures (neutral, flexion and extension). The lumbar sacral angles (LSA) and the angles of each vertebral segment were obtained both from skin surface curvature and picture of X-ray. This study has the following purposes: (1) to inquire the incidence of radiculopathy on the asymptomatic side in the cervical spondylotic patients with unilateral symptomatic radiculopathy. (2) to inquire the relationship between asymptomatic side and symptomatic side in the unilateral symptomatic radiculopathic patients due to cervical spondylosis. All subjects has been studied by motor and sensory nerve conduction test, and electromyography (EMG) for muscles supplied by roots from C-5 to T-l levels bilaterally. This study is aimed at assessing ””Low back pain of pregnant women”” which had been neglected for a long time.Among 755 effective questionnaires, 452 (58.3% of the cases) suffered from low back pain during pregnancy. The average age was 28 +4.2 years. The severity of back pain, which was evaluated according to Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), lay mostly between 2 degree to 6 degree. The most frequent back pain pattern was soreness. As for location of back pain, low back took the most part, the buttock the second and the thigh the least. We report a 76year-old female of T11and T12 vertebral compression fracture, presenting with abdominal pain and acute ileus but minimal back symptom within 24hours of onset. The treatment was focused on the abdominal condition, exploratory lapartotmy was done with normal intra-abdominal organ, except diffuse moderate distention of intestines. Gallium-67scan was arranged to differentiate recent fromold fracture. The mechanism of thoracolumbar compression fractures presenting with an acute ileus is possible due to the retroperitoneal hemorrhage or structure change irritating the sympathetic chains which innervate the intestines. Treatment of acute ileus were reviewed and discussed.

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction is one of the most common diagnoses of low back pain. Musculoskeletal imbalance is one of the precipitating factors which cause sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SIJ). The gluteus medius, a primary stabilizer of the pelvis, has been observed clinically to be weak in a significant number of individuals with SIJ dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in gluteus medius function in subjects without SIJ dysfunction in comparison to subjects with SIJ dysfunction. Increasingly shoulder dislocations and instabilities are being recognized among athletes as a common disabling condition in the health care setting today.

Dislocations of the shoulder represent approximately 50% of all major joint dislocations. Of these shoulder dislocations, 95% are anterior dislocations. After a primary anterior dislocation, recurrence of dislocation occurs in 90% to 95% of patients in their mid 20s or younger. A high percentage of these injuries occur in repetitive athletic activities in which large forces and high velocities are produced, such as hockey, football, and baseball.
