Background: The World Health Organization reports that approximately 295,000 women died during or after their pregnancy and delivery in 2017. However, such deaths can be prevented by using delivery assistance from health workers. This study aims to analyze the trends and determinants of using delivery assistance by health workers in Indonesia.
Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design is adopted to analyze secondary data from the Indonesian Health Demographic Surveys in 2007, 2012, and 2017. The Unmet Need for Family Planning (KB) in 2019 is still far from the 2015-2019 Strategic Plan target set at 9.91 percent. Seventeen provinces have a percentage of Unmet Need KB above the national figure (14.4 percent). One of them is WestJava Province, with a percentage of Unmet Need of 14.8%. Mental disorders impact people's quality of life globally. A quarter of the world's population consists of children and adolescents who are significantly experiencing mental disorders since the age of 14. Community-based mental health strategies are aimed to overcome the challenges of mental health. The development of sharia-based hospitals in Indonesia began with the Indonesian Islamic Health Effort Assembly (MUKISI) in collaboration with the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) with the issuance of fatwa No. 107 / DSN-MUI / X / 2016 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Hospitals Based on Sharia Principles. One of them is Sari Asih Sangiang Hospital (RSSA) in the city of Tangerang, which has received sharia certification since 2018. To discover the correlation betweem the quality of work life and the employees’ performance at Ogan Ilir District General Hospital, a study was performed in March-April 2018. The study was a cross sectional quantitative study on 315 civil servants and voluntary staff at the hospital.
