A Case Study Of Health Information System Workflow On Mitigating Opioid Drug Abuse In Saudi Arabia's Healthcare System, Alogaili Fahad Abdulrahman
A Case Study Of Health Information System Workflow On Mitigating Opioid Drug Abuse In Saudi Arabia's Healthcare System, Alogaili Fahad Abdulrahman
Student Works (2020-2029)
The hospitals in Saudi Arabia, which have been studied in this research, are almost entirely automated. Healthcare information systems (HIS) are quite efficient; however, the health information exchange (HIE) is absent in the existing systems for different hospitals. Opioid drugs are an addictive substance, Saudi Arabia has the highest mean of drug abuse disorders in the region (680.5, group mean was 401.8). The lack of HIE had contributed significantly to the increase of opioid drug abuse in Saudi Arabia. If a patient has taken opioid as a painkiller, an interoperable system must have the information available for the healthcare department …
Molecular Dynamics Simulations Of Darpins As Potential Inhibitors Against Cancer Associated Protein Kinases, Vertika Gautam
Molecular Dynamics Simulations Of Darpins As Potential Inhibitors Against Cancer Associated Protein Kinases, Vertika Gautam
Student Works (2020-2029)
Out of all post-translational modifications, Protein phosphorylation is the most common in signal transduction, that occurs through protein kinases. Extracellular Regulated Kinase 2 (ERK2) is a type of protein kinase that undergoes phosphorylation to control various pathological and physiological phenomena. The deregulation of ERK2 often implicated in several types of cancers, for example, pancreatic, lung and breast. The current therapeutic treatment for this type of cancers involves blocking cellular proliferation signals by targeting kinases. However, the drugs developed resistance after prolonged use. Thus, the discovery of alternative ERK2 inhibitors is in need. In the present work, the potential of a …
Formulation And Characterization Of Beeswax/Rosemary Oil Nanostructured Lipid Carrier For Drug Delivery System, Mohd Latif Farhanim
Formulation And Characterization Of Beeswax/Rosemary Oil Nanostructured Lipid Carrier For Drug Delivery System, Mohd Latif Farhanim
Student Works (2020-2029)
A stable colloidal suspension of nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) was synthesized from natural source of lipid. The toxicity and insolubility of drugs in water remain a significant problem and has led to the development of food-grade drug delivery systems such as nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs). NLCs composing various amount of beeswax (BW), rosemary oil (RO) and poloxamer 188 (P188) were prepared by melt-emulsification combined with ultrasonication method. The physicochemical properties of NLC also were determined. Optimization of the formulation (F) was performed based on the criteria of stability. Formulation with the smallest particle size and highest magnitude of zeta potential …
The Thermal Characteristic Of Imipenem Encapsulated In Low And High Molecular Weight Of Polyethylene Glycol., Abdul Aziz Ismail
The Thermal Characteristic Of Imipenem Encapsulated In Low And High Molecular Weight Of Polyethylene Glycol., Abdul Aziz Ismail
Student Works (2010-2019)
Microencapsulation technique is widely used in pharmaceutical industries to control the release of a drug. Biodegradable polymer such as Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is frequently used as encapsulation material. This study has tried to produce microencapsulation product of Imipenem antibiotics in Polyethylene Glycol.Commercially available product called Tienam® was used as a major source of Imipenem. We used freeze-drying method to produce the microencapsulation products. The successful of producing of this product is confirmed by the yellowish appearance of the product whereby it shows the colour properties of Tienam® Thermal analysis using Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) was used to characterize pure materials …
Analysis Of Loratadine By Potentiometry And Reverse-Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Kian Yong Puen
Analysis Of Loratadine By Potentiometry And Reverse-Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Kian Yong Puen
Student Works (2000-2009)
A non-aqueous titration method was developed to assay Loratadine bulk active and a High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method was developed to determine Loratadine's manufacturing impurity. The HPLC method was also suitable for simultaneously assay and related substance determination of Loratadine pharmaceutical preparations. In the tritation method, glacial acetic acid was chosen as an amphiprotic solvent. Loratadine ionised in glacial acetic acid; the conjugated base of acetic acid (Ac·), was then titrated with standardised perchloric acid. The method was validated found to be precise, linear and robust. Reverse-phase HPLC method using a Novapak Cl8 column with a CH3CN: I0mM K2HPO4 …
