Accurately measuring and reporting the demographic characteristics of research participants are imperative to provide consumers of research with an understanding of who was included in a study. While researchers often, incorrectly, use the variables sex and gender interchangeably, these 2 variables are different. We conducted a content analysis of 239 randomly selected research articles, with the purpose of describing how researchers have used sex and gender in studies published in nursing journals and identifying opportunities for improved clarity and precision in measuring these 2 variables. We found that significant improvement is needed in the way these variables are used/reported.

ผลการวิจัย: 1) สมรรถนะของผู้จัดการดูแลและผู้ดูแล มีค่าเฉลี่ยโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับสูง มีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลจากการสนทนากลุ่ม 2) ความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้สูงอายุก่อนได้รับการดูแล มีค่าเฉลี่ยดัชนีบาร์เธลเอดีเอล 7.39 หลังได้รับการดูแล มีค่าเฉลี่ย 11.86 3) สมรรถนะของผู้จัดการดูแลและผู้ดูแล ร่วมทำนายความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้สูงอายุได้ร้อยละ 12.70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

รูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย:  กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยจิตเภทที่ได้รับการรักษาในแผนกผู้ป่วยใน โรงพยาบาลศรีธัญญา ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์จำนวน 40 คน ได้รับการจับคู่ (Matched pair) และสุ่มเข้ากลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมจำนวนกลุ่มละ 20 คน กลุ่มทดลองได้รับการดูแลตามโปรแกรมการจัดการอาการทางลบที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้นเป็นระยะเวลา 5 สัปดาห์ ส่วนกลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) โปรแกรมการจัดการอาการทางลบ 2) แบบวัดคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพ (SF-36) และ และ 3) แบบประเมินอาการทางจิตโรคจิตเภท ฉบับภาษาไทย เฉพาะอาการทางลบ เครื่องมือทุกฉบับได้รับการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิมีค่าดัชนีความตรงตามเนื้อหาเท่ากับ 0.97 และ 1.0 ตามลำดับ ค่าความเที่ยงสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟาของครอนบาคเท่ากับ 0.98 และ 0.86 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติทดสอบที (t-test)

ผลการวิจัย: 1) คุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยจิตเภทหลังได้รับโปรแกรมการจัดการอาการทางลบสูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรม อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ 2) คุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผุ้ป่วยจิตเภทกลุ่มที่ได้รับโปรแกรมการจัดการอาการทางลบสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่ได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

รูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง
วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้สูงอายุประเภทติดสังคมซึ่งสามารถช่วยเหลือตัวเองได้ ที่มีอายุระหว่าง 60-80 ปี และมีภาวะข้อเข่าเสื่อมที่มารับบริการที่โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบล เขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดพิษณุโลก จำนวน 60 ราย ได้รับการจับคู่ (Match pair) ด้วยเพศ อายุ ระดับความรุนแรงข้อเข่าเสื่อม และการรักษาข้อเข่าเสื่อม และสุ่มเข้ากลุ่มทดลอง และกลุ่มควบคุม กลุ่มละ 30 ราย กลุ่มทดลองได้รับโปรแกรมการดูแลตนเองร่วมกับการนวดแผนไทยและการพอกสมุนไพร
รวม 12 ครั้ง กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการดูแลตามปกติ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) โปรแกรมการดูแลตนเองร่วมกับการนวด แผนไทยและการพอกสมุนไพร 2) แบบประเมินคัดกรองภาวะข้อเข่าเสื่อม 3) แบบประเมินระดับความรุนแรงข้อเข่าเสื่อม โดยแบบประเมินชุดที่ 2 และ 3 ผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 3 ท่าน มีค่าความตรงตามเนื้อหา เท่ากับ 0.90, 0.95, และ 0.87 และมีค่าความเที่ยงสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาครอนบาค เท่ากับ 0.87 และ 0.85 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์

วัตถุประสงค์: ศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการจัดการตนเองที่เน้นการออกกำลังกายแบบแกว่งแขนต่อระดับฮีโมโกลบินเอวันซี ของผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานเข้าจอประสาทตา

รูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานเข้าจอประสาทตา ที่มารับการรักษาที่โรงพยาบาลเมตตาประชารักษ์ (วัดไร่ขิง) จังหวัดนครปฐม คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่าง โดยการสุ่มแบบเจาะจง ตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด จำนวน 44 คน แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมกลุ่มละ  22 คนโดย กลุ่มทดลองได้รับโปรแกรมการจัดการตนเองที่เน้นการออกกำลังกายแบบแกว่งแขน และกลุ่มควบคุมได้รับโปรแกรมตามปกติ เครื่องมือในการทดลอง คือ โปรแกรมการจัดการตนเองที่เน้นการออกกำลังกายแบบแกว่งแขน เครื่องมือวิจัยในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือแบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล และเครื่องตรวจระดับฮีโมโกลบินเอวันซี วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบที (t-test )

ผลการวิจัย 1) ฮีโมโกลบินเอวันซีของผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานเข้าจอประสาทตาในกลุ่มทดลองหลังได้รับโปรแกรมฯ (  = 8.30  ± 1.55 ) มีค่าต่ำกว่าก่อนการทดลอง (  = 9.14 ± 1.46  ) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t= 3.23, p <05)  2) ผลต่างของฮีโมโกลบินเอวันซีก่อนและหลังเข้าร่วมวิจัยของกลุ่มทดลอง (= 0.84 ± 1.21) มากกว่ากลุ่มควบคุม (= 0.13 ±  0.85) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t= 2.24 , p < .05 )

BACKGROUND: Prisoners who are detained in jails and detention centers have higher rates of Severe Mental Illness (SMI) compared to the general population. However, SMI is often unidentified in this population, largely due to lack of assessment using effective SMI screening tools and lack of knowledge among prison staff about the prevalence of SMI and the importance of identification in the correctional setting.
