Breastfeeding Education For Fathers: An Intervention To Increase Breastfeeding Rates, Jill Marie Frisz
Breastfeeding Education For Fathers: An Intervention To Increase Breastfeeding Rates, Jill Marie Frisz
Evidence-Based Practice Project Reports
If every infant were breastfed within an hour of birth, exclusively breastfed until six months, and given breastmilk up to two years, almost 800,000 lives would be saved annually (who, 2014). Nationally, breastfeeding rates drop significantly from three to six months. A search of literature yielded significant evidence as fathers for facilitators to increase breastfeeding rates. The purpose of this evidence based practice (EBP) project was to determine the effects of best practice measures to educate fathers about breastfeeding to increase anytime breastfeeding rates. The social support theory and ACE Star model guided the literature search and implementation of this …

Journal of Mind and Medical Sciences
Emergency peripartum hysterectomy (EPH) is performed for massive postpartum hemorrhage following a cesarean delivery or vaginal delivery, in order to save the patient’s life. The current study was performed on a sample of 13.162 patients, which underwent cesarean or vaginal delivery during a period of 6 years, from 2010 to 2015, in Bucur Maternity Hospital. There were two subsequential groups consisting in: 6593 patients with cesarean operations and 6569 patients with vaginal delivery. In 12 cases occurred one or more of the risk factors that lead to EPH, divided equally across the two groups above.
The main two types of …
The Effect Of An Educational Intervention On Knowledge And Intent To Participate In Cervical Cancer Screening, Ann Marie Trapp
The Effect Of An Educational Intervention On Knowledge And Intent To Participate In Cervical Cancer Screening, Ann Marie Trapp
Evidence-Based Practice Project Reports
Globally, cervical cancer ranks third among cancers affecting women (Arbyn et al., 2013). In the United States, approximately 12,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and approximately 4,000 women die yearly (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Papanicolaou (Pap) screening is an effective means of detecting precancerous cell changes of the cervix with early cervical cancer diagnosis carrying a 91% five-year survival rate (Gonzalez et al., 2012). The purpose of this evidence-based practice project was to identify interventions that increase adherence to cervical cancer screening and to implement best practices to reduce unnecessary deaths related to late diagnoses of …
