Background
The phase 3 WAYPOINT study (NCT04851964) reported that tezepelumab improved outcomes in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), including nasal polyp size, nasal congestion, and sinonasal symptoms, and reduced the need for surgery and systemic corticosteroids (SCS).
Objective
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of tezepelumab across Japanese Epidemiological Survey of Refractory Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis-defined eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS) subgroups.
Methods
Adults with severe CRSwNP were randomized to tezepelumab 210 mg or placebo every 4 weeks. Coprimary end points were the change from baseline to week 52 in total Nasal Polyp Score and the biweekly mean Nasal …

Purpose of Review
We aim to highlight recent advancements on the evolving chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) phenotype: acute exacerbations of chronic rhinosinusitis (AECRS). We focused on studies that expanded the current understanding of its pathophysiology, patient characteristics, and disease burden.
Recent findings
Defining AECRS has been a topic of discussion for many years. A recent regulatory definition of AECRS in the literature incorporates a > 3 day requirement of worsened symptoms and an escalation of treatment. It is important not to rely on patient-reported rescue medication frequency as it was recently demonstrated these are only obtained for 1/3 of reported AECRS episodes. …
A Cross-Cultural Study Of Hearing And Hearing-Impaired Children’S Human Figure Drawings, Chia-Liang Timothy Hu
A Cross-Cultural Study Of Hearing And Hearing-Impaired Children’S Human Figure Drawings, Chia-Liang Timothy Hu
EVMS School of Health Professions Theses & Dissertations
The purpose of this study was to further the research of human figure drawings as useful assessment tools and add to the understanding of children’s human figure drawings from a cross-cultural perspective.
In this quantitative study, 147 human figure drawings made by 59 hearing and 64 hearing-impaired Taiwanese children and 24 hearing-impaired American children were collected. In addition, 50 drawings done by hearing American children were randomly chosen from the children’s drawing database of Eastern Virginia Medical School Graduate Art Therapy Program. Five Formal Elements Art Therapy Scales (FEATS) scales were modified for use with human figure drawings and were …
