การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพและองค์ประกอบทางเคมีของไบโอเซรามิกรูทคาแนลซีลเลอร์ที่ผลิตจากเปลือกหอยแครง (ไบโอซีลเลอร์) กับไบโอเซรามิกรูทคาแนลซีลเลอร์ซึ่งมีจำหน่ายในท้องตลาด (ไอรูทเอสพี) โดยทำการสังเคราะห์ผงไตรแคลเซียมซิลิเกตจากเปลือกหอยแครง และตรวจสอบองค์ประกอบทางเคมีด้วยการทดสอบการเลี้ยวเบนของรังสีเอกซ์ ผลการทดสอบพบว่าสารที่ผลิตได้ประกอบด้วยไตรแคลเซียมซิลิเกตเป็นส่วนประกอบหลัก จากนั้นจึงนำมาผสมกับสารเติมแต่งเพิ่มเติมเพื่อผลิตเป็นไบโอซีลเลอร์ ทำการทดสอบคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีตามมาตรฐานการทดสอบไอเอสโอ 6876/2012 ได้แก่ การไหลแผ่ เวลาแข็งตัว ความหนาชั้นฟิล์ม การละลายตัว และความทึบรังสี นอกจากนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาค่าความเป็นกรด-ด่าง และปริมาณแคลเซียมอิออนที่ถูกปล่อยออกมาที่ระยะเวลา 3 ชั่วโมง 1 วัน 3 วัน 7 วัน 14 วัน และ 28 วัน รวมถึงศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีหลังแข็งตัวเต็มที่ของซีลเลอร์ทั้งสอง คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีมีค่าผ่านตามมาตรฐานไอเอสโอ 6876/2012 ยกเว้นคุณสมบัติด้านการละลายตัว สำหรับค่าความเป็นกรด-ด่างของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีในช่วงระยะเวลาที่ทำการทดสอบพบว่ามีค่า 9.23-10.35 และ 8.83-10.39 ตามลำดับ ส่วนปริมาณแคลเซียมอิออนที่ถูกปล่อยออกมาพบว่าไอรูทเอสพีปล่อยแคลเซียมอิออนมากกว่าไบโอซีลเลอร์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในช่วงแรกแต่ไม่แตกต่างกันที่ช่วงระยะเวลา 14 และ 28 วัน นอกจากนี้การศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีของไบโอซีลเลอร์และไอรูทเอสพีหลังแข็งตัวเต็มที่พบองค์ประกอบที่ยืนยันการเกิดปฏิกิริยาไฮเดรชันของวัสดุ ดังนั้นจึงสามารถสรุปได้ว่าไบโอซีลเลอร์มีคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพที่ดีและมีคุณสมบัติใกล้เคียงกับไอรูทเอสพี

However, aging has biological effects in periodontal ligament cells with significant changes in their proliferative rate and regenerative function. Asiaticoside, extracted from Centella asiatica, was found to have potential in osteogenic differentiation and mineralization in human periodontal ligament cells (HPDLCs). The aim of this study was to evaluate void formation by micro-computed tomography in two-surface Class II cavities restored with two bulk-fill resin composites using different placement methods. Standardized Class II cavities were prepared in forty intact human maxillary first premolar teeth. Objectives: To study factors which influence a dentist’s decision to propose the Tooth Autotransplantation (AT). Material and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 99 dentists between January and March 2021. A questionnaire comprised demographic characteristics, unprimed scenario, primed scenario, reasoning behind decisions, experience, and knowledge of AT. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test, McNemar’s test, and multiple logistic regression. Results: The respondents comprised 73 females and 26 males with a mean age of 30.84 ± 6.238 years. Chemokines play pivotal roles in orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) through osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We aimed to elucidate the effects of serial local vs systemic administration of the chemokine receptor CXCR4 antagonist AMD3100 on OTM. The maxillary right first molar (M1) of rats was moved mesially using a 10 g of force nickel-titanium coil spring. Gestational intermittent hypoxia (IH), a hallmark of OSA, alters the offspring's respiratory neural control and diaphragm contractile function. Thus, we aimed to investigate the effects of gestational IH on the muscle development and metabolism of geniohyoid (GH), which is innervated by the respiratory-related hypoglossal nerve and plays a role in tongue traction and suckling, in male offspring rats compared with masseter (MAS), the largest masticatory muscle. This study evaluated the antifungal, physical, and mechanical properties of tissue conditioner incorporated with different amounts of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnOnps) at different storage times (0, 7, and 14 days). Specimens of 0, 5, 10, 15 wt% ZnOnps, or 15 wt% nystatin incorporated into tissue conditioner were fabricated. การศึกษาในห้องปฏิบัติการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบการคืนแร่ธาตุในรอยผุระยะเริ่มต้นของชิ้นฟันที่สัมผัสกับวัสดุบูรณะคลาสทูด้วยนาโนคอมโพสิตแคลเซียมฟอสเฟต (Predicta™ bioactive bulk) กับซีเมนต์กลาสส์ไอโอโนเมอร์ (Equia Forte®) และเรซินคอมโพสิตชนิดไม่ปลดปล่อยฟลูออไรด์ (Filtek™ Z350) เป็นกลุ่มควบคุม โดยใช้ชิ้นฟันน้ำนมจำนวน 60 ชิ้นจากด้านแก้มของฟันกรามน้ำนมที่ถูกถอน 60 ซี่มาสร้างรอยผุระยะเริ่มต้นที่กึ่งกลางของชิ้นฟัน นำชิ้นฟันตัวอย่างมาวัดร้อยละการสูญเสียฟลูออเรสเซนต์ (∆F) เริ่มต้นด้วยเครื่องวัดฟลูออเรสเซนต์ที่เกิดจากแสงเชิงปริมาณชนิดดิจิทัล เรียงลำดับร้อยละการสูญเสียฟลูออเรสเซนต์เริ่มต้นจากชิ้นฟันที่สูญเสียแร่ธาตุน้อยไปมาก สุ่มชิ้นฟันออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม นำชิ้นฟันไปติดกับบล็อกอะคริลิกที่บูรณะด้านประชิดด้วยวัสดุบูรณะทั้ง 3 ชนิด แล้วเข้ากระบวนการเลียนแบบสภาวะในช่องปากเป็นเวลา 14 วัน จากนั้นวิเคราะห์ปริมาณการคืนแร่ธาตุโดยวัสดุบูรณะแต่ละชนิด ด้วยการเปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยของการเปลี่ยนแปลงร้อยละของการสูญเสียฟลูออเรสเซนต์ (∆∆F) และค่าเฉลี่ยของการเปลี่ยนแปลงปริมาตรการสูญเสียฟลูออเรสเซนต์ (∆∆Q) ผลการศึกษาพบว่าทั้งค่า ∆∆F และค่า ∆∆Q ของทุกกลุ่มมีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ โดยกลุ่มซีเมนต์กลาสส์ไอโอโนเมอร์ มีการคืนแร่ธาตุแก่ชิ้นฟันสูงที่สุด ส่วนกลุ่มนาโนคอมโพสิตแคลเซียมฟอสเฟตมีการสูญเสียแร่ธาตุของชิ้นฟันเล็กน้อย ซึ่งน้อยกว่ากลุ่มควบคุม คือเรซินคอมโพสิตชนิดไม่ปลดปล่อยฟลูออไรด์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ สรุปได้ว่าการบูรณะด้วยวัสดุซีเมนต์กลาสไอโอโนเมอร์ สามารถคืนแร่ธาตุให้ฟันซี่ข้างเคียงได้ดีที่สุด แต่ในกรณีที่รอยผุหรือโพรงฟันคลาสทูมีขนาดใหญ่ นาโนคอมโพสิตแคลเซียมฟอสเฟตก็ถือเป็นวัสดุหนึ่งที่เป็นทางเลือกในการใช้ทดแทนเรซินคอมโพสิตชนิดไม่ปลดปล่อยฟลูออไรด์ เนื่องจากใช้งานง่าย มีความแข็งแรงและความสวยงามเทียบเท่ากับเรซินคอมโพสิต นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยยับยั้งการลุกลามของรอยผุระยะเริ่มต้นในฟันซี่ข้างเคียงได้ดีกว่าเรซินคอมโพสิตชนิดไม่ปลดปล่อยฟลูออไรด์

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of brushing on the percentage change of retentive force in Locator R-Tx attachment. There were 3 types of nylon inserts; blue, pink, and clear. The nylon inserts were brushed in 2 media; water and toothpaste. Each group had 6 specimens (n=6). All specimens were soaked in deionized water at 37 ºC for 7 days, after that they were placed in the simulated brushing machine. Objective: To compare esthetic perception between dentists and laypersons by difference of asymmetrical width and length of maxillary central and lateral incisors under 5 and 15 seconds evaluation time. Materials and Methods: Photos of women were digitally altered by Adobe Photoshop® program to create image with symmetrical and asymmetrical tooth width or length in 0.5 mm increments. Final images were randomly present on computer screen using an equal ratio to actual tooth. Osteoblast differentiation requires interaction of several cell signaling to coordinately modulate cell responses. Understanding the integration between signaling pathways provides an insight into molecular mechanism that governs stem cell differentiation. Notch, Wnt, and Interleukin15 (IL15) signaling are among the crucial pathways that control biological processes including osteogenic differentiation. Background/Purpose: Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease with a bacterial etiology in a susceptible host. A selective antibiotic with minimal systemic side effects could be a useful adjunct to traditional periodontal therapy. Amixicile is a novel antimicrobial agent that targets pyruvate: ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR), an enzyme that is critical for anaerobic bacterial metabolism and has been found to have little-to-no side-effects in animal models.
