Classical Findings Of Infantile Hepatic Hemangiomas, Senayit Demie, Michael Bossak
HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine
Introduction
Hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors that are common during infancy. They are most commonly noted as superficial bright red lesions on the skin but can also be found deeper as subcutaneous lesions. Patients with multifocal cutaneous hemangiomas are at risk of visceral involvement with the liver being most commonly affected. Most hemangiomas can be monitored clinically as they are self-limiting. Despite this, hepatic hemangiomas can have serious complications including large arteriovenous shunts leading to cardiac compromise as well as severe hepatomegaly which can cause abdominal compartment syndrome, impaired ventilation and renal vein compression.

Rapidly Recurrent Basilar Artery Thrombosis Treated With Emergent Mechanical Thrombectomies And Stenting, Mark Cohen, Amna Imran, Ankur Garg
Neurology
Acute basilar artery thrombosis (BAT) is a life-threatening condition that can be treated by emergent mechanical thrombectomy (EMT). Recurrent acute BAT is a rare phenomenon. Here we describe a case of rapid recurrent acute BAT that was treated each time by EMT and finally by emergent basilar artery stenting with good outcome

Double Pylorus: Case Report Of Atypical Presentation, Christopher Lozano Orpiano Do, Gurjeet Kang Do, Michael Quinn Do, Lakshminarasimhan Venu Md, Joseph Staffetti Md
Gastroenterology
Introduction: Double pylorus is a rare endoscopic finding that has been reported in 0.001% to 0.4% of upper gastrointestinal endoscopies, consisting of a gastroduodenal fistula extending from the prepyloric gastric antrum to the duodenal bulb through an accessory channel. In the majority of cases, it is a complication when peptic ulcers erode and create a fistula between the duodenal bulb and the distal stomach. It usually presents on the lessor curvature of the gastric antrum and on a superior wall of the duodenal bulb. It is commonly an endoscopic finding, since clinical presentation is similar to other peptic diseases.

Preimplantation Genetic Testing (Pgt) And Frozen Embryo Transfer (Fet) Synergistically Decrease Pre-Term Delivery In Patients Undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (Ivf), Luke Ying Md, Mark Sanchez Md, James Baron Md, Ying Ying
OB-GYN
OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of FET and FET post PGT (FET/PGT) on pre-term and very pre-term deliveries in patients undergoing IVF with elective single embryo transfer (eSET).
DESIGN: Retrospective cohort Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) data study.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective cohort study was conducted using the publicly available data in the SART National Summary Report from 2014 to 2017. Cycle inclusion criteria were eSET, fresh embryo transfers (ET), and frozen embryo transfers (FET) with or without PGT (FET/PGT). Exclusion criteria were use of gestational carriers and donor eggs. Pregnancy outcomes included live births and gestational age …

Internal Medicine
In non-Hodgkin's lymphoma the findings of hypercalcemia as an initial presentation is extremely rare (<3% of cases). Here we report a 67 year-old man who presented with ST changes secondary to hypercalcemia in the setting of B-cell lymphoma.
