Homoeopathy In The Management Of Generalised Anxiety Disorder: A Case Report, Karunakara Moorthi, Radhika P
Homoeopathy In The Management Of Generalised Anxiety Disorder: A Case Report, Karunakara Moorthi, Radhika P
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Introduction: Generalised anxiety disorder (G.A.D.) is characterised by excessive, pervasive and uncontrollable worry. G.A.D. is a chronic and recurrent disorder with a low rate of remission with a considerable impact on quality of life. There is a scarcity of literature published on homoeopathy on G.A.D. This case report illustrates an improvement without recurrence of a G.A.D. case treated exclusively with homoeopathic medicine.
Case Summary: A 36-year-old man presented with anxiety about least trifles, easily irritable, palpitation, gastric disturbances, tension, excessive sweating, sleep disturbances and difficulty in concentration. After thorough case-taking, homoeopathic treatment with Lycopodium 200C and Sulphur 1000C led to …

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Introduction: Gangrene is defined as the decay or death of an organ or tissue due to a compromised blood supply. It is a perilous and fatal condition occurring most commonly due to diabetes. In general, people with diabetes have a significantly increased risk of lower extremity gangrene leading to amputation.
Case Summary: A 70-year-old woman presented with diabetic gangrene of her right leg and foot since 4 months. The patient complained of swelling and blackish discoloration of the right foot and leg with offensive discharging ulcers on the first and third toes. She was diagnosed with diabetic foot gangrene …

Antioxidant And Cytotoxic Potential Of Potentized Preparation Of Cordyceps Sinensis In Vitro In Cancer Cell Lines, Vettrivel Arul, Rajamanickam Kandasamy, Mary Adharshna Sp
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Background: The parasitic fungus Cordyceps sinensis (Ophiocordyceps sinensis) has been discovered in lepidopteran larvae, having known antitumor effects. Testing potentized Cordyceps sinensis in cancer cells could help broaden Homoeopathy cancer therapeutics.
Objectives: The objectives of the study were to evaluate the antioxidant and cytotoxicity activity of potentized preparation of Cordyceps sinensis in carcinoma cell-lines.
Methods: In this in vitro study, antioxidant activity was analyzed by the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate assay and the dilution with more antioxidant potential was further analyzed for cytotoxicity, using 3-(4,5-dimethyl-thiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay on various carcinoma cell lines: Breast cancer cell line (MCF-7), liver cancer cell line (HePG2), …

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Background: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a significant health problem impacting health related quality of life.
Objectives: This study assesses the efficacy of individualised homoeopathy (IH) in LM potency in CRS.
Methods: A randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled trial on patients with CRS was undertaken at four institutes, from July 2012 to December 2013. Eligible participants were randomised to IH in LM-potencies (n = 60) or a similar placebo (n = 60). Primary outcome was change in the total symptoms score (TSS) (area under the curve [AUC]) and in sinus nasal outcome test 22 over 3 months. Intention-to-treat approach was used …

Can The Sweet Pills Restore The Smiles Of Autistic Children?, Deepthi Gilla, K.C. Muraleedharan
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
The second of April marks World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), every year globally. WAAD was designated by the United Nations in 2007 to help end stigmatization and discrimination against those with Autism and their caregivers. It aims to raise understanding and awareness of this global health issue at all levels of society. The alarming increase in prevalence (1 in 100-WHO) and potentially lifelong disabling nature of the disorder demands awareness as early identification and intervention are pivotal in the management of Autism.

Can The Inhibition Of Natural Manifestations In Pandemics Cause Chronic Diseases Later?, Indu Shukla
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Recent publications in various medical journals have focused on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which has gravely impacted the entire world. But hardly anyone discusses the consequences of its suppression by the widespread use of covid vaccines as a mandatory measure in almost all countries of the world. Through your esteemed journal, I would like to draw the attention of the entire homoeopathy fraternity towards this, in light of the Hahnemannian philosophy and propose anti-miasmatic treatment of the same.

Reply To Hahnemann's Position On Vaccination: A Call To Rethink., Rudi Verspoor
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
There is a debate on the merits of modern vaccination in relation to Hahnemann’s position regarding this practice in his time. The authors of a recent Letter to the Editor argue that Hahnemann was in favour of vaccination and that we need to assess vaccination objectively. I agree with both of these positions, but disagree as to the details regarding what is meant by these two conclusions. I argue that Hahnemann made clear that vaccination did not provide immunity, and never can. I further argue that there are better alternatives to vaccination in terms of boosting the immune system, and …

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome With Endometrial Hyperplasia And Uterine Fibroids Treated With Homoeopathy: A Case Report, Vaishali Shinde
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Introduction: Any circumstance that alters the balance of oestrogen and progesterone leads to excessive, prolonged estrogenic stimulation, or preventing the counteracting effects of progesterone causing various pathological conditions in the reproductive system, as a result. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) have mostly anovulatory cycles and low serum progesterone levels. Endometrial hyperplasia is most often due to excess oestrogen without progesterone. The clinical significance of chronic oestrogen secretion is an increased risk of endometrial hyperplasia. A striking feature of uterine fibroids (UFs) is their dependency on the ovarian oestrogen and progesterone. Existing treatments are mostly directed at the symptoms …
