Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of fiber posts and different restorations on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated maxillary premolars with cervical cavities. This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant and antimutagenic activity of Zanthoxylum limonella seed extract and that of Z. limonella pericarp extract. The total phenolic contents and antioxidant activity assay including DPPH assay and FRAP assay were performed. The results showed that the antioxidant activity of pericarp extract was higher than that of the seed extract. The purposes of this study were to establish a database of the carbohydrate content of medications and investigate carbohydrate content of medications in epileptic children treated with ketogenic diet (KD) at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. One hundred sixty-nine KD order forms in 3 events (KD initiation, follow-up visit, and hospital re-admission) for epileptic children whose aged younger than 18 years old during 2009-2017 were selected. OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of quantitative assessment of radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging in indicating significant coronary artery stenosis. METHODS: Seven hundred and twenty patients with suspicion of coronary artery disease were retrospectively identified. All of them had undergone cardiac catheterization within the 6-month period after having one-day pharmacologic stress radionuclide myocardial perfusion scan. Important parameters were analyzed including myocardial perfusion, wall motion, wall thickening severity scores of 3 coronary artery territories and left ventricular ejection fraction values. The objectives of this study were to prepare saccharide fiber via centrifugal spinning and further investigate its stability under stress condition. Different saccharides were chosen and spun via centrifugal force to form thread like matter. The results indicated that sucrose (SC) and trehalose (TH) could be fabricated as fiber whereas other saccharides were not able to form. B-cell activating factor (BAFF), an important cytokine for B lymphocyte activation that implicated in the pathogenesis and disease progression chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients. This study aimed at evaluating clinical correlation and prognostic role of plasma BAFF, BAFF receptor and related polymorphisms in patients with CHB undergoing pegylated interferon (peg-IFN) treatment and HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study shown that BAFF levels were elevated during treatment but decreased to pre-treatment levels after peg-IFN cessation in HBeAg-positive CHB patients. The multidrug resistance in N. gonorrhoeae has been increasingly reported worldwide. The objectives of this study were to investigate the prevalence and the mechanisms of ceftriaxone resistance in N. gonorrhoeae Thai isolates, and to investigate the synergistic activities of antibiotic combinations against N. gonorrhoeae isolates with reduced susceptibility or resistance to ceftriaxone. Macrophage plasticity is a process that allows macrophages to switch between two opposing phenotypes based on differential stimuli. Interferon (IFN)-λ is a relatively unexplored, yet promising anti-viral agent. IFN-λ has recently been tested in clinical trials of chronic hepatitis B, with the advantage that side effects may be limited compared with IFN-α, as IFN-λ receptors are found only in epithelial cells. To date, IFN-λ downstream signaling pathway remains largely unelucidated, particularly via proteomics methods. Here, we report that IFN-λ3 inhibits HBV replication in HepG2.2.15 cells, reducing levels of both HBV transcripts and intracellular HBV DNA. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a widespread pathogen, which has diverse clinical manifestations from mild localized infection to severe systemic infection. The tissue tropism of HSV-1 is mainly epithelial and mucosal cells. However, it can also multiply in T lymphocytes suggesting a cause of viremia. In this study, CD3+CD4-CD8- Jurkat T lymphocytes were used. Under activation, up-regulation of CD69 molecules on cell surface was observed. Increase yield of HSV-1 production in activated T lymphocytes was demonstrated. Autochthonous leishmaniasis cases in Thailand are increasing dramatically, the disease is caused by two major of Leishmania species; L. orientalis and L. martiniquensis. Leishmaniasis is transmitted to the vertebrate hosts through the bite of the infected female sand fly. Moreover, other trypanosomatid protozoa have also been reported in this insect vector. In 2016, Trypanosoma sp. has been detected in sand fly from Songkhla province, where the leishmaniasis case has been reported. The precise information for SPR and IPR reattachment is essential for the prevention of recurrent symptom of peroneal tendon dislocation/subluxation. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the characteristics, the attachments and morphometric parameters of the SPR, IPR and the prevalence, origin and insertion of the accessory peroneal muscles, peroneal tendon tear, and related structures.
