ปรากฎการณ์การดื้อยาของเชื้อ Escherichia Coli ที่แยกจากไก่เนื้อ, พิณทิพย์ น้อมไสว, มาลิน จุลศิริ, อรษา สุตเธียรกุล

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

การศึกษากระทำในเชื้อ Escherichia coli ที่แยกจากไก่ฟาร์ม 5 แห่ง ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในเขตกรุงเทพฯ และจังหวัดใกล้เคียง ภายหลังวิเคราะห์ดูการดื้อยาของเชื้อเหล่านี้ ต่อยา ampicillin, chloramphenicol, colistin, cotrimoxazole, neomycin และ tetracycline พบว่ามีเชื้อ E. coli ที่แยกจากลูกไก่และไก่กระทงดื้อยาสูงถึง 91.2% (343/376 isolates) และ 97.3% (322/331 isolates) ตามลำดับ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะดื้อยา tetracycline เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลการศึกษา จึงได้ทำการทดสอบดูปรากฏการณ์ การดื้อของเชื้อ E. coli ที่แยกจากคนทั้งเด็กและผู้ใหญ่ ผลที่ได้เปิดเผยว่า 43.2% (19/44 isolates) และ 82.1% (55/67 isolates) ของเชื้อดังกล่าวที่แยกจากเด็กและผู้ใหญ่ ตามลำดับดื้อยา และการดื้อต่อ tetracycline ก็พบมากที่สุดเช่นกัน เมื่อนำเชื้อดื้อยาบางตัวอย่างที่สุ่มมาเพื่อตรวจสอบทางน้ำเหลืองวิทยาหาเชื้อที่ อาจก่อให้เกิดโรคทางเดินอาหารของคน ผลปรากฏว่าเชื้อ 200 ตัวอย่างที่เลือกมา ได้พบ 2 ตัวอย่าง (1%) ที่มี serotype 020a 20b:K84 ของกลุ่ม enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC)

Therapeutic injection of facet joints is now widely practised, but Chinese experience has been infrequently reported. 21patients with suffering from the ”facet syndrome” have been taken from OPD patients, Our series including total 30 intra-articular injections C 2% Xylocaine & Kenacort A preparation provide a diagnostic-therapeutic block; Certainty of joint penetration can be ensured only by the routine use of joint arthrography ￠ Metrazamide. Results indicate that immediate effective is 61.9% for releiving pain. It means this block is a good diagnostic-therapeutic procedure in low back pain patients.

This study was carried out on 67 children with obstetric palsy in the Department of physical Medicine and Rehabilition of the National Taiwan. University. It revealed that birth weight of more than 3500 gm would have higher prevalence of the palsy. There was no significant evidence to support the palsy had any relationship to patient's sex, presentation, parity, mode of delivery and lateralization of the lesion.The follow up intervals ranged from 3 months to 6 years, with the mean 2 years and 3 months. The thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a entrapment syndrome of the neurovascular bundle supplying the upper extremity. There are many disorders have been associated with TOS. We can divide TOS into vascular types and neurogenic types according to it's component parts.the classic type of neurogenic TOS is uncommon. This case has abduction contracture of left shoulder. The electrodiagnostic findings showed typical of neurogenic TOS. Conservative treatment programs were given and the symptoms were subsided after one week.

A Cross-Cultural Analysis Of Psychiatric Symptom Expression Using Langner's Twenty-Two Item Index, Robert Nishimoto

The Journal of Sociology & Social Welfare

An analysis of psychiatric symptom response using Langner's twentytwo item index was conducted across three cultural settings. Respondents were Anglo-American, Vietnamese Chinese, and Mexican. Some similarities did exist in response patterns and in those symptom items highly correlated with the total psychiatric screening score. Close examination revealed between-group differences indicating that not all twenty-two items were valid indicators of psychological disorder across cultures. The study highlights issues in the development and use of symptom checklists to measure and assess mental health constructs across cultures.

The Journal of Sociology & Social Welfare

The limitations of the movement for deinstitutionalization of the chronically mentally disordered have been the subject of a repeated series of investigations and analyses in the last 10 years. These critiques can be summed up in the undeniable observation that the chronically mentally disordered have by and large failed to benefit from deinstitutionalization in the ways that the original advocates and planners of this policy had hoped. The promise of community mental health, at least as articulated by the scores of witnesses before Congressional committees in the early 1960's, has not been realized for this population.

การสารวจพยาธิ Sarcocystis ในหลอดอาหารของโคและกระบือจากโรงฆ่าสัตว์ ขององค์การอาหารสำเร็จรูป และโรงฆ่าสัตว์ของบริษัทสหสามัคคีค้าสัตว์ จำกัด เขตพระโขนง รวมทั้ง 2 แห่งเป็นโค 328 ตัว กระบือ 211 ตัว ซึ่งในการตรวจใช้วิธีดูด้วยตาเปล่า ตรวจดูด้วยกล้องจุลทรรศน์สเตอริโอและโดยการย่อย ในโคพบ Sarcocyst เมื่อ ดูด้วยตาเปล่า 2 ตัวอย่าง (0.61%) โดยการตรวจด้วยกล้องจุลทรรศน์สเตอริโอ 57 ตัวอย่าง (17.38%) จากการย่อย 326 ตัวอย่าง ตัวอย่าง (99.39%) และจากการศึกษาทางจุลพยาธิวิทยาพบ S. cruzi มากกว่า S. hirsuta และ S. hominis ในกระบือพบซีสต์ขนาดใหญ่ (macrocyst) ซึ่งเป็นซีสต์ของ S. fustiformis เมื่อดูด้วยตาเปล่า 81 ตัวอย่าง (38.39%) โดยการตรวจด้วยกล้องจุลทรรศน์สเตอริโอพบซีสต์ขนาดเล็ก (microcyst) ซึ่งเป็นซีสต์ของ S. Levinet 77 ตัวอย่าง (36.49%) และตรวจพบโดยการย่อยในทุกตัวอย่าง (100%) จะเห็นได้ว่าการติดพยาธิ Sarcocyst ในประเทศไทยมีอัตราสูงที่สุดทั้งในโคและกระบือ

ผลของการผสมพันุ์ต่อการผลิตกระต่าย Ii. ลักษณะการสืบพันธุ์และการให้ผลผลิตของแม่กระต่าย, จันทร์จรัส เรี่ยวเดชะ, สุวรรณา กิจภากรณ์

ศึกษาลักษณะด้านการสืบพันธุ์ และการให้ผลผลิตของแม่กระต่าย 4 กลุ่มพันธุ์คือ นิวซีแลนด์ไวท์ (NZW) กระต่ายพื้นเมืองไทย (N) และกระต่ายลูกผสมระหว่าง พันธุ์นิวซีแลนด์ไวท์กับพื้นเมืองทั้ง 2 แบบ จำนวนกลุ่มพันธุ์ละ 10 แม่ พบว่าแม่กระต่าย NZW ให้จำนวนลูกเกิดครอกแรกน้อยกว่าแม่พันธุ์ NZWXN และ N แม่พันธุ์ NZW อุ้มท้องนานกว่าแม่พันธุ์ N.80 วัน (P < .05) ให้จำนวนลูกต่อครอก ในครอกแรกน้อยกว่า 2.20 ตัว และน้ำหนักลูกทั้งครอก เมื่อเกิดน้อยกว่าแม่พันธุ์ N 81 กรัม (P < .05) และจากการศึกษาต่อไปถึงการให้ผลผลิตทั้งหมด เมื่อแม่กระต่ายมีอายุ 1 ปี ปรากฏว่า แม่กระต่ายพันธุ์ NZW รับการผสมมาก ครั้งแต่มีอัตราการผสมติดต่ำกว่า (P < .05) แม่กระต่ายอีก 3 กลุ่มพันธุ์ กลุ่มพันธุ์ โดยให้จำนวน ครอกที่ให้ลูกได้เท่ากัน ซึ่งบ่งชี้ถึงปัญหาการผสมติดยากของแม่พันธุ์ NZW เมื่อเปรียบเทียบระหว่างกระต่ายพันธุ์แท้ด้วยกัน แม่พันธุ์ NZW ต้องรับการผสมมากกว่าแม่พันธุ์ N 1.20 ครั้ง (P < .05) จึงจะให้ลูกได้จำนวนครอกเท่ากัน และมีอัตราการผสมติดน้อยกว่าแม่พันธุ์ N 30.50% (P < .05) ไม่พบความแตกต่างใด ๆ ระหว่างการให้ผลผลิตของแม่กระต่ายลูกผสม 2 แบบ จากการเปรียบเทียบระหว่างแม่กระต่ายพันธุ์แท้กับลูกผสม พบว่ากระต่ายลูกผสมมีประสิทธิภาพด้านการสืบพันธุ์ซึ่งวัดจากจำนวนครั้งที่รับการผสมและอัตราการผสมติดเหนือกว่ากระต่ายพันธุ์แท้ (P < .05) และมีค่า heterosis ของลักษณะทั้งสองเป็น -26.69 และ 33.02% ตามลำดับ

ค่าเฉลี่ยและเบี่ยงเบนของทองแดงในเซรุ่มโคนมลูกผสม 40 ตัว เท่ากับ 0.70 ± 0.15 ppm ระดับของธาตุนี้แตกต่างกันตามอายุ เพศ การให้นม และฤดูกาล สำหรับสังกะสี มีอยู่ 1.38 ± 0.39 ppm และเปลี่ยนแปลงตามภาวะต่าง ๆ เช่น ทองแดง ส่วนซีลีเนียม อยู่ในระดับ 0.13 ± 0.03 ppm ระดับของธาตุชนิดหลังนี้ค่อนข้างคงที่

Experiments were conducted to study the effect of Marigold petal concentrate (MPC) and Capsicum annum fruit concentrate (CFC) on egg yolk pigmentation when added to broken rice and corn -ipil ipil basal diets. 120 Isa Brown layers were divided into 24 pens of five. Each pen received successively 3 replications of 8 treatments of 4 different levels of three pigmentors (MPC, CFC, MPC/CFC combined) in both types of basal diets. Production performances were not affected by the three pigmentors. However, there was marked difference in the levels of inclusion and the colors yielded by the three pigmentors. From January, 1986 through April, 1998, a total 42 patients with chronic intractable pain, age between 25 and 60 years, were treated by non-biofeed back relaxation technique including progressive relaxation, autogenic phrase, Benson's meditation and visual imagery. All patients had ever received medical, surgical and physical treatments but in vein at all.Twenty-eight of 42 patients (66.6%)reported getting apparent to slight improvement after relaxation training. Patients in non-specific pain syndrome group had a higher successful result than those in failed back surgery syndrome, cervical syndrome, and low back syndrome groups. Summary In order to establish normal data of the isokinetic (IK) and isometric (IM) contraction of the quadriceps (Q) and hamstring (H) muscles, 22 normal young men and 24 normal young women were tested with a Cybex II Isokinetic Dynamometer at the speed of 0,5,10,20,and 30 rpm (0 rpm= isometric contraction). The IM contraction was tested at 45, 60, and 90 degrees of knee flexion in the Q muscles, and at 30, 45, and 60 degrees in the H muscles. Clinical Trial Of Pneumatic Pylon In Early Amputation, Fuk-Tan Tang, May-Kuen Wong

Pneumatic pylon is used for the lower extremity amputees to allow early ambulation and to reduce stump edema postoperatively. The results of pneumatic pylon was studied in 10 patients who received lower extremity amputation form May 1987 to October 1987 at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.Among them, two cases received above-knee amputation and eight cases received below-knee amputation. No stump pain and skin break-down was noted in all cases studied. Phantom sensation was improved in eight patients. Nine patientshowed complete confidence in the future fitting of permanent prosthesis. They needed shorter training time using permanent prosthesis. Wound infection is high in …

The purpose of this study was to estimate the number of motor unit in the first dorsal interosseous muscle by using the routine electrodiagnostic techniques. 34 young adult volunteers was included in this study, each subject recevied the following procedures on the first dorsal interosseous muscle: 1. Surface recording of the total surface area, the area under the negative phase, peak amplitude and the base line to negative peak amplitude of the maximal evoked muscle action potential. 2. Since M. F. Folstein & S. E. Folstein (1975) designed the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) for grading evaluation of patients with cognitive impairement, the MMSE test has become the most popularly used test instrument both in clinical and epithological studies. We standiaried the Chinese form of MMSE, this paper reports the norms, and outlines the importances of using different criteria depending on pt's education level.
