Although many researchers, in different social sciences fields, are being attracted to the new potential promotional phenomenon, the influence of peer connections, the literature in dental public health is very poor. Objective: This article investigates the role of peer influence on individuals’ oral health knowledge and behavior among adolescents. Methods: The purpose of the study was to explore the correlation between secondary school students’ oral health u and knowledge within friendship groups. A patient with a seizure history possesses a challenge in their dental management. Ameloblastic fibrodentinoma (AFD) is a rare tumor with an incidence rate of less than 1%. When lesion with the histomorphology of ameloblastic fibroma(AF), which is true neoplasms, form dysplastic dentin, and had been referred to as AFD. It histologically consists of odontogenic ectomesenchyme resembling the dental papilla, epithelial strands, and nests resembling dental lamina and enamel organ with dentin formation. Objective: This study aimed to assess the effect of passive tobacco smoking (PTS) through the comparison of the periodontal status and the C-reactive protein (CRP) and cotinine levels in the biologic fluids in children who are exposed and unexposed to PTS. Methods: A total of 148 participants, whom had smokers (PTS-exposed, n=82) and non-smokers (PTS-unexposed, n=66) in their families, respectively, were included in the study. Double burdens of malnutrition among women have occurred across most developing countries including Indonesia. This study compared the associated factors among overweight and underweight of women in reproductive age (WRA) in rural Ciampea Sub-district, Bogor, West Java. This cross-sectional study surveyed the nutritional status of 575 mothers (16-49 years old) who have under two-years-old children. Nutritional status was assessed by body-mass-index (BMI) and mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC), food security status by US-Food Security Survey Module (US-FSSM), dietary intake by a single 24-H dietary recall. Macroalgae are abundant sources of bioactive polysaccharides and prospective candidates for effective and non-toxic substances. This study aims to preliminary characterize and determine the in vitro antioxidant activity and cancer cell growth inhibitory activity against human lung adenocarcinoma cell (A549) of the polysaccharide from an invasive green alga, Caulerpa taxifolia. Crude polysaccharide (CP) was extracted from the dried algal sample of C. taxifolia by hot water extraction followed by absolute ethanol precipitation. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) typically presents in patients at an advanced stage, with a poor prognosis. The development of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) – tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and the systematic identification of EGFR mutations heralded the advent of targeted therapy in lung cancer, transforming the landscape of its treatment and prognosis. This is a case of 37 years-old female patient presented with metastatic bone disease secondary to pulmonary adenocarcinoma EGFR mutation positive which demonstrated a remarkable result to TKI.

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is diabetes mellitus emergency which is defined by the biochemical triad of hyperglycemia, ketonemia, and acidemia. Diabetic ketoacidosis continues to have high rates of morbidity and mortality despite advances in the treatment of diabetes. Crucial aspects of DKA management involve adequate replacement of fluids and electrolytes, particularly potassium, and the continuous administration of insulin. This study examined breastfeeding practices and self-efficacy among mothers residing in rural areas. A cross-sectional study was conducted for 104 mothers via purposeful sampling in a Posyandu (maternal and child health service) in Kampar district, one of the rural areas in Riau, Indonesia. The Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF) was used in the questionnaires to collect data. Chi-square test was used for bivariate analysis. Majority of the respondents (71.2%) were 20–35 years old; 69.3% of the respondents’ level of education were low (such as junior and senior high school levels).
