Dragon fruit, known as Hylocereus undantus (HU), has traditionally been utilized in Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia, for addressing gout and rheumatism. Despite its empirical use, there is a lack of reported pharmacological research on this plant. This study aimed to explore the properties of HU extract in treating hyperuricemia, inflammation, and pain. Adenine-potassium oxonate-induced mice were employed to evaluate anti-hyperuricemia activity, measuring uric acid, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and creatinine serum levels. According to the 2018 National Health Account, curative spending costs reached 69.1%. The Case Mix Index (CMI) is a benchmark for hospital performance abroad, but Indonesian hospitals have not used it. In 2019, BPJS Health tested CMI in 30 hospitals. On the other hand, the number of JKN participants who are non-wage earners (PBPU) and non-workers (BP) who pay contributions independently has decreased by around 0.7% per year from 2017-2022. Tuberkulosis merupakan infeksi opportunistik yang mematikan. WHO melaporkan bahwa TB menjadi penyebab kematian 187.000 pasien HIV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor risiko pasien HIV yang menderita TB berdasarkan karakteristik demografi, stadium klinis HIV, status sosial ekonomi dan faktor risiko HIV/AIDS di RSUD Kota Bogor tahun 2016-2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain studi cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan cara purposive sampling dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 60 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan jumlah pasien HIV TB (+) periode 2016-2021 di RSUD Kota Bogor sebagian besar berusia < 35 Tahun (73,7%), berjenis kelamin laki laki (90,2%), belum menikah (82,8%) tingkat pendidikan tinggi (71,7%), status tidak bekerja (80%), berada pada stadium klinis 3 dan 4 (82,6%) dan memiliki status sosial ekonomi kurang mampu (81,6%) serta faktor risiko perilaku seksual (72,4%). The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has been used as an inflammation indicator in various medical conditions, but research on the relationship between NLR and GI obstruction is still limited. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the role of NLR as a cost-effective and simple preoperative predictor of postoperative mortality and morbidity, mainly surgical site infection, in adult patients with GI obstruction.

This study investigates the predictive value of the neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in predicting the survival rates of colorectal cancer patients in Indonesia.

Introduction. Chronic limb–threatening ischemia (CLTI) can cause rest pain in the lower extremities and the formation of ulcers or gangrene. Revascularization, which can be done using open surgery or endovascular procedures, is the first line of treatment in CLTI management. CLTI patients at CMGH usually came with advanced conditions and high re–amputation rates even after revascularization.
