The Forward Pass In Football, Francis J. Deig
The Forward Pass In Football, Francis J. Deig
Bachelors’ Theses
In the past decade, the forward pass has been looked upon as merely a threat play. It was used only as a last minute attempt to score. But with the change of the style of play, the forward pass has become an almost inevitable part of the game.
In this Thesis, I have attempted to show that the rise of the pass was not meteoric, but rather that it was a result of a long process.
I have gone into detail regarding fundamentals of passing, forward pass offense, forward pass defense and in conclusion, have given my aspect of the …
The Surface Tension Of Some Oral Antiseptics, Edmund Abraham B. Dziennik
The Surface Tension Of Some Oral Antiseptics, Edmund Abraham B. Dziennik
Bachelors’ Theses
The bio-chemist is now thouroughly (sic) interested in the theories and principles which underly physical Chemistry.
The results of these investigations are such, that they have brought about a change in the treatment of many diseases. It shall be the purpose of this paper to illustrate by experiment the importance of principles in oral antiseptics these theories and principles in oral antiseptics.
It shall be endeavoured to show that an oral antiseptic with a low surface tension is necessary for good adsorption.
That good adsorption is necessary in order to reach the bacteria that are in the deep crevices of …
Blood Calcium Determinations Of Arthritic Patients, M. Wilma Delgrande
Blood Calcium Determinations Of Arthritic Patients, M. Wilma Delgrande
Bachelors’ Theses
The determination of Calcium in the blood of Arthritic patients as an interesting problem was suggested by Doctor J. C. Metts, physician at the Sacred Heart Sanitarium from August 1927 to September 1930, and encouraged by Doctor F. W. Mackoy, present physician at the Sanitarium.
All the experimental work was carried on in the Laboratory of the Sacred Heart Sanitarium and all the specimens of blood were taken from cases present at the Sanitarium during the time of the writing of this thesis.
The Spleen Considered With Special Reference To Its Physiology, Frank A. Dolce
The Spleen Considered With Special Reference To Its Physiology, Frank A. Dolce
Bachelors’ Theses
The aim of this essay on the structure and function of the spleen is to bring together in somewhat concise form all the available knowledge concerning this organ up to the present moment. However, time and the difficulty of obtaining valuable articles has limited this essay considerably. The first few pages while not giving a very detailed historical background may be considered quite adequate for the purpose intended. The evolutionary development of the spleen is here considered in broad outline. The microscopic anatomy of the spleen and its function in relation to the blood have been considered in greater detail …
A Study Of The Various Factors Which Effect The Reliability Of Benedict's Quantitative Test For The Estimation Of Reducing Sugars, Grace Marie Ballard
A Study Of The Various Factors Which Effect The Reliability Of Benedict's Quantitative Test For The Estimation Of Reducing Sugars, Grace Marie Ballard
Bachelors’ Theses
The superiority of Stanley R. Benedict's test over the use of Fehling's Solution for the quantitative determination of sugar in urine is proven by its wide use. More than half of the hospitals and physiological laboratories in the United States are now using this test. The timidity and reluctance sometimes found in human nature towards giving up old methods for new is probably the reason why there are still some who do not use it. A close determination of the sugar content of the urine of diabetic patients is absolutely necessary in treatments of diabetes. The knowledge of diabetes in …
