Studies on herbarium material of grasses recently collected in Turkey revealed the existence of three taxa hitherto not reported from this country: Bromus tomentellus Boiss. subsp. nivalis (Bornm.) H. Scholz & Byfield, subsp. et stat. nov., Microstegium vimineum (Trin.) A. Camus as a probably introduced plant, and Poa asiae-minoris H. Scholz & Byfield, sp. nova, described here as a species new to science.

Macrofungi Of İzmir Province, Mehmet Hali̇l Solak, Mustafa Işiloğlu, Fahretti̇n Güci̇n, İsa Gökler

This investigation was done basing on the macrofungi specimens collected from Izmir province situated in Eagean Region in the West Anatolia between 1992 and 1996. As a result of the studing of laboratory and field, 104 taxa belonging to 32 families were determined. One genus ( Lyophyllum Karst.), 8 species ( Clitocybe bresadoliana Sing., Cystoderma granulosum (Batsch: Fr.) Fay., Lyophyllum favrei Haller & Haller., Melanoleuca paedida (Fr.) Kühn. & Mre., Mycena rosea (Bull.) Gramberg., Stereum ostrea(Blume & Nees ex Fr.) Two New Species To Turkey From Turkish Thrace: Mibora Minima (L.) Desv. (Gramineae) & Trifolium Ornithopodioides (L.) Sm. ( Leguminosae), Andrew Byfield, Neriman Özhatay

Mibora minima (L.) Desv. ( Gramineae) and Trifolium ornithopodioides (L.) Sm. ( Leguminosae) are added new to the Turkish flora from localities in Turkish Thrace. Their diagnostic characters are briefly described and their ecology and conservation discussed.

The macrofungi species Ganoderma carnosum Pat. (Ganodermataceae) , Hygrophorus agathosmus Fr.:Fr. (Hygrophoraceae), Marasmius scorodonius (Fr.:Fr.) Fr. (Tricholomataceae) and Lentinellus cochleatus (Pers.:Fr.) Karst. (Auriscalpiaceae) have been recorded for the first time from Turkey.
