Macrofungi And Their Distribution In Karaman Province, Turkey, Hasan Hüseyi̇n Doğan, Celaleddi̇n Öztürk

Herein, macrofungi specimens that were collected from different locations in Karaman province, Turkey between 1999 and 2001 are reported. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 202 taxa belonging to 2 classes and 41 families were identified. Of them, 11 taxa belonged to Ascomycetes and 191 to Basidiomycetes. The most common families were Tricholomataceae, with 36 species; Bolbitiaceae, with 16 species; Agaricaceae and Cortinariaceae, with 15 species each; Coprinaceae, with 13 species; and Hymenochaetaceae, with 12 species.

Some macrofungi specimens were collected from Gümüşhane province between 2001 and 2003. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 105 taxa belonging to 2 classes and 24 families were identified. These taxa are presented in a list. Of the 105 taxa, 14 are new records for the mycoflora of Turkey.

Lachnum virgineum (Batsch) P.Karst (Hyaloscyphaceae) and Hymenoscyphus fructigenus (Bull.) Gray (Helotiaceae) are recorded for the first time from Turkey.

Macrofungi specimens were collected from Andırın (Kahramanmaraş) district in 1998-2003. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 131 taxa belonging to 35 families in Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes were identified. Six of them, Hemimycena pithya (Fr.) Dörfelt, Macrocystidia cucumis (Pers.) Joss., Mycena maculata P.Karst., Tricholoma magnivelare (Peck) Redhead (Tricholomataceae), Entoloma lepidissimum (Svrcek) Noordel. (Entolomataceae) and Pluteus pouzarianus Singer var. albus Bonnard (Pluteaceae), are new records for Turkey.

The material of this study comprises macrofungi specimens collected from different localities in Bekilli (Denizli) in 1998 and 1999. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 61 taxa belonging to 2 classes (Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes) and 28 families are reported.

The macrofungi collected from the Türkmenbaba mountain area in 2001-2003 were investigated. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 84 taxa belonging to 30 families were identified. Seven species belong to the class Ascomycetes and 77 species to Basidiomycetes. Seven of these taxa are new records for the Turkish macromycota.

Macrofungi specimens were collected from Gölbaşı (Adıyaman) district in 2000-2003. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 77 taxa belonging to 22 families in the classes Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes were identified. Five of them, Cyathus stercoreus (Schw.) de Toni, Entoloma rusticoides (Gill.) Noordel., Pluteus dietrichii Bres., Coprinus dilectus Fr. and Panaeolus guttulatus Bres., are new records for Turkey.

As a result of taxonomic investigations carried out in the Mut (Mersin) district, 9 species belonging to 2 families (Coprinaceae and Bolbitiaceae) are recorded for the first time for the macrofungi flora of Turkey. These species are Psathyrella badiophylla(Romagn.) Park.-Rhodes, P. bifrons (Berk.) Smith, P. cernua (Vahl: Fr.) G.Hirsch, P. murcida (Fr.) Kits van Wav., Agrocybe splendida Clç., Conocybe subpubescens P.D.Orton, C. fuscimarginata (Murr.) Sing., C. tenera (Schaeff.: Fr.) Fay. and Pholiotina aporos (Kits van Wav.) Clç.

Field studies were carried out in the Besni district between 2001 and 2002, and macrofungi samples were collected. As a result of laboratory studies, 56 species belonging to 20 families in Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes were identified.

This study was based on the macrofungi collected from İzmir province between 1993 and 2002. As a result of field and laboratory studies 55 taxa belonging to 28 families were identified and are presented as a list. Three of these (Geastrum badium Pers., G. fornicatum (Huds.) Hook and Collybia distorta (Fr.) Quél.) are new records for the Turkish macromycota.

The macrofungi specimens were collected from different localities of the Bozkır (Konya) district in 2000-2001, particularly during autumn and spring. As a result of these field and laboratory studies, 74 species belonging to 23 families were identified. Of these, seven belong to Ascomycetes and 67 belong to Basidiomycetes.

A total of 169 species of macrofungi were determined in Samsun province between 1997 and 2001, of which 19 belonged to the Ascomycota, 149 to the Basidiomycota and one to the Myxomycota. Among these, 51 species were edible, 67 inedible, 28 edible but not worthwhile or best avoided because of possible confusion with poisonous species, and 12 species were poisonous. The edibility of 11 species was unknown.

This study was conducted on macrofungi specimens collected from Erzurum province between 1997 and 2000. As a result, 114 macrofungi species belonging to 29 families and two classes were identified. Two of them, Melanoleuca humilis (Pers.: Fr.) Sing. and Tricholoma lascivum (Fr.) Gill. (Tricholomataceae), are new records for the macrofungi flora of Turkey.

This study was done on edible, inedible and poisonous macrofungi collected around the Balıkesir-Manisa highway from two different areas (roadside and background area) in 1998-1999. Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, Co, Cd, Ni and Pb contents were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer in 256 samples belonging to 24 macrofungi species. The habitat, edibility and distribution of the taxa in the families were listed. According to mean dry weight (DW), Mn, Co and Cd contents were high in Omphalotus olearius (DC.: Fr.) The material of this study comprises macrofungi specimens which were collected from different localities in Alanya district in the Mediterranean region between 1999 and 2001. As a result of field and laboratory studies 188 taxa belonging to two classes and 38 families were identified. Eleven taxa belonged to Ascomycetes and 177 to Basidiomycetes.

Macrofungi were collected during field trips in the Ağrı district between 1997 and 2000. At the end of field and laboratory studies, 45 taxa belonging to 3 classes and 18 families were identified. Three of these, Pluteus ephebeus (Fr.:Fr.) Gill. (Pluteaceae), Coprinus auricomus Pat. (Coprinaceae) and Inocybe tigrina Heim. (Cortinariaceae), are new records for the mycoflora of Turkey.

This study was carried out on macrofungi samples collected in Bitlis province between 1997 and 2000. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 60 species belonging to 17 families were identified. Four of them, Coprinus xanthotrix Romagn., Psathyrella atomata (Quél) Fr., Rhodocybe fallax (Quél) Sing. and Polyporus meridionalis (David) Jahn., are new records for Turkey.
