Objective: Regardless of effective harm reduction services (HRS) in Thanyarak Hospital, difficulties exist while implementing them in community hospitals. This study aimed to investigate the complexities of HRS implementation in two community hospitals in Mae Hong Son. Methods: Phase 1, in-depth interviews were conducted with 21 participants to investigate the complexity of HRS dissemination. An interview guide was developed from the seven domains of the Nonadoption, Abandonment, Scale-up, Spread, and Sustainability framework, and thematic analysis was used. This study aims to determine the effect of chronic kidney disease on warfarin response, including initial doses, maintenance doses, time in therapeutic range (TTR), and international normalized ratio (INR) variability. This is a retrospective cohort study at Rajavithi Hospital from 2015 to 2018. A total of 189 patients were included and divided into five groups based on estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (G1, eGFR ≥ 60 mL/min/1.73 m2; G2, 30–59 mL/min/1.73 m2; G3, 15–29 mL/min/1.73 m2; G4, ≤ 15 mL/min/1.73 m2; and G5, ≤ 15 mL/min/1.73 m2 with dialysis). Objective: The present study investigated the antibacterial activities of asam gelugur (Garcinia atroviridis) fruit extracts against two Gram-negative bacterial strains (Escherichia coli (gi: CP033762.1) and Salmonella enterica (gi: KX355299.1)). Materials and Methods: The powder form of G. atroviridis fresh fruit was extracted with 95% ethanol (2:4 L) (w/v). The mixtures were filtered and evaporated using a rotary evaporator at 50–55°C. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to measure hydroxycitric acid (HCA) in the extract. The goal of this research was to investigate the effect of electrolyte and an amphoteric surfactant on the viscosity, foamability, and foam stability of sodium laurylglucosides hydroxypropyl sulfonate (SLHS), a new anionic surfactant. Different concentrations of cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB, 0–6% w/w) and sodium chloride (NaCl, 0–3% w/w) were added into 10% w/w SLHS solution. Background/Aim: Plant-based medicinal agents containing phytoconstituents like extracts of Azadirachta indica leaves has been reported to heal wounds. This study evaluated the phytoconstituents and determined the optimal concentration of the aqueous extract of Azadirachta indica leaves (AEAIL) affecting wound healing in male Wistar rats. Materials and Methods: AEAIL was evaluated for phytoconstituents using GC-FID. Wounds (diameter ≈1.5cm) was excised on the dorsum of 35 rats (7 groups, n = 5). Purpose: The present research was envisaged to employ chitosan-glycine conjugates as superdisintegrant for developing fast disintegrating tablets of domperidone. Materials and Methods: Chitosan-glycine conjugates were prepared by physical mixing and microwave-assisted technique. Micromeritic study, Fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction methods were employed for characterizing the powdered conjugates. The formulated FDTs were evaluated for wetting time, water absorption ratio, disintegration time, in vitro drug release, and other tablet parametric tests. Radiosynthesis of a novel bifunctional chelator for gallium-68 (Ga-68) chelation has been fabricated through peptide synthesis. Using of solid phase peptide synthesizer, linear structure of three repeating unit of glutamic acid was primarily generated. Protecting group of tert-butyl in intermediate was then cleaved and eventually yield as tri-γ-glutamic acid polypeptide (tri- γ-GAP). Mass spectrometry revealed m/z was 406.1378 that well corresponded with proposed structure of three repeating unit of glutamic acids. The aim of this work was to investigate the use of carbon dioxide (CO2) laser irradiation to modify three types of pH-dependent Eudragit® (L100-55, L100, and S100) enteric coats with the aim of modulating drug release kinetics from the tablet cores. CO2 laser irradiation causes rapid melting and resolidification/vaporization of materials locally and precisely through the absorption of infrared energy and so can potentially disrupt the barrier integrity and function of enteric coats. Objective: This study evaluated the antioxidant activities of the leaf extracts from three plants found in Brunei: Melastoma malabathricum (MM), Scurrula ferruginea (SF), and Clinacanthus nutans (CN). The present study investigated the phytochemical, high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) profiling, total phenolic content, antibacterial activity, acute toxicity studies, hemodynamic parameters, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity and serum procalcitonin (PCT) levels of hydroalcoholic extract of Bryum weigelii (HE-Bw), and its effects on cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) induced sepsis in mice. The preliminary phytochemical screening showed that HE-Bw contains alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolics, and tannins. The HPTLC analysis of HE-Bw identified three unknown components with different Rf values and area percentage. This study aimed at investigating the effect of ANCS on respiratory morbidity of LPI. Materials and Methods: In matched cohort study, LPI of mothers who received ANCS (ANCS group) at 24–34 weeks of GA were matched with LPI of no ANCS (non-ANCS group) by gestational age and birth weight. The present study examined the treatment outcomes and factors related to mortality in patients with Enterobacter spp., Serratia spp., Citrobacter spp., Providencia spp., I-indole-positive Proteus spp., and Morganella spp. (ESCPIM) bloodstream infections and determined the susceptibility of ESCPIM pathogens to antimicrobial compounds. This retrospective study was performed at a university hospital in Thailand, using records from March 2017 to December 2018. Fifty-six patients with ESCPIM bacteremia were included. Approximately, half the patient cohort (55.4%) was infected with Enterobacter spp. The in-hospital mortality rate was 23.2%. Objectives: This study compared the hepatoprotective activity of Pterocarpus santalinoides cold maceration extract (PSCME) with P. santalinoides Soxhlet extract (PSSE). Materials and Methods: Phytochemical constituents of both extracts were determined. 45 albino rats, randomly assigned into 9 groups (1–9) of 5 rats each, were used for the study. Liver damage was induced in groups 1–8 using carbon tetrachloride (CCl4). Group 1 served as untreated control, Groups 2–7 were treated with 50, 250 or 500 mg/kg PSCME or PSSE, Group 8 was treated with 100 mg/kg silymarin, while Group 9 served as normal control. Background: Ivacaftor and Tezacaftor belong to the CFTR potentiator class, in combination approved to manage cystic fibrosis. Objective: To establish a sensitive LC-MS/MS approach for the synchronized analysis of Ivacaftor and Tezacaftor and its appliance to rat pharmacokinetic investigation. Methodology: Method is developed with protein precipitation by acetonitrile and Ivacaftor-d4, Tezacaftor-d4 are used as internal standards. Objective: This study aims at investigating the effect of the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of non-ionic surfactants on physical property and stability of nanoemulsions. Materials and Methods: The nanoemulsions were prepared using the Microfluidizer. The oil phase consisted of 10% w/w soybean oil and 5% w/w surfactant(s). Types of nanoemulsions were confirmed by dilution test. The average droplet size and size distribution (polydispersity index [PDI]) were measured by dynamic light scattering Zetasizer Nano ZS™. A new series of 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives (3a-j) were synthesized by reacting p-toluic benzhydrazide (1) and substituted aromatic aldehydes (2) in the presence of ceric ammonium nitrate as catalyst and dichloromethane as a solvent medium. The structures of the new compounds were assigned based on IR, 1H-NMR, and mass spectral data and further evaluated for their in vitro anti-inflammatory potential using various protein denaturation methods following bovine serum and egg albumin assay. Some tested compounds 3e, 3f, and 3i displayed moderate anti-inflammatory activity compared to the standard diclofenac sodium.

A self-microemulsifying delivery system (SMEDS) containing astaxanthin (AST) was developed and optimized using a mixture design and its desirability function. Independent factors studied in the experimental design were the amounts of castor oil, Cremophor® RH 40, and Tween® 80 in a formula. The measured response variables included droplet size, polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential, active ingredient content, and transmittance of microemulsions obtained from the AST SMEDS formulations. The desirability function was then adjusted to optimize the formulation. Hyptolide and epoxy hyptolide were successfully isolated and synthesized from Hyptis pectinata extract that potential to cure malaria diseases. The previous studies showed that these compounds contained lactone groups associated with antibacterial and anticancer activities. However, the antimalarial activity remained unclear. This study aimed to investigate the antiplasmodial activity of H. pectinata extract, hyptolide, and epoxy hyptolide. These compounds were tested in vitro for antiplasmodial activity against chloroquinesensitive 3D7 strain of Plasmodium falciparum. Background: This study investigated the psychometric properties of the Thai Short Form-12 Health Survey (SF-12v2) and reported SF-12v2 scale scores based on the general Thai population’s age and gender. Methods: Multistage sampling was used to recruit 1200 general Thai participants. For all SF-12v2 scales, item description, ceiling/floor effects, convergent validity for item-scale and SF-12v2 and EQ-5D correlations, known-group validity, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), test-retest reliability, and responsiveness were studied. Results: Ceiling effect was observed for all scales (5.8–72.6%). Floor effect was detected for all scales except for social functioning, role emotion, and mental health.
