Virus COVID-19 terus menyebabkan lebih banyak orang menjadi sakit dan meninggal dunia setiap harinya. Selain itu, varian virus COVID-19 baru juga terus ditemukan. Lebih dari 80% kematian karena COVID-19 terjadi pada penderita yang memiliki komorbid dan berusia di atas 65 tahun. Perlu diketahui penyakit komorbid apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap kematian pasien COVID- 19 lansia. Menurut Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2013, prevalensi stroke pada penduduk usia >15 tahun di Indonesia sebesar 7 permil dan mengalami kenaikan dari tahun 2007 yang sebesar 6 permil. Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) menjadi provinsi dengan prevalensi stroke tertinggi kedua di Indonesia dan prevalensinya melebihi angka nasional yakni sebesar 10,3 permil pada tahun 2013. Tujuan studi ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stroke pada penduduk usia >15 tahun di Provinsi DIY. Seseorang yang mengalami stunting saat balita cenderung memiliki tubuh yang lebih pendek dan memiliki risiko efek jangka panjang, yaitu menderita penyakit kronis yang berkaitan dengan gizi, rentan terhadap penumpukkan lemak tubuh, serta berisiko menderita diabetes melitus karena resistensi insulin dan beberapa penyakit tidak menular seperti hipertensi dan stroke. Berdasarkan laporan dari The Global Cancer Observatory (GLOBOCAN) 2020, kasus terbaru kanker serviks di Indonesia sebanyak 36.633 jiwa (17,2%) menempati posisi kedua setelah kanker payudara dan menempati posisi ketiga penyebab kematian akibat kanker. Secara nasional hanya sebanyak 8,3% perempuan usia 30-50 tahun yang melakukan pemeriksaan dini kanker serviks melalui metode Inspeksi Visual Asam Asetat (IVA test) dan kanker payudara dengan Periksa Payudara Sendiri (SADARI). Pekerja dapat mengalami stres, termasuk Tenaga Bantuan di Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan (KKP). Selama Pandemi COVID- 19, tenaga bantuan KKP melakukan pengawasan terhadap COVID-19. Dengan beban kerja yang dimiliki dan rasa lelah memungkinkan tenaga bantuan mudah merasakan stress. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian stres pada Tenaga Bantuan KKP Kelas I Soekarno-hatta. Ventilator Associate Pneumonia yang sering disingkat VAP adalah terjadinya pneumonia pada pasien yang telah terpasang ventilasi mekanik dengan menggunakan endotrakhea tube (ETT) dengan durasi penggunaan minimal 48 jam. Pneumonia terjadi karena infeksi nosocomial yang umumnya didapatkan dari penggunaan ventilator di rumah sakit. Nutrition Education In Food Pantries: Perceptions Of Pantry Personnel Towards Implementation, Chelsea Allison, Christopher T Sneed, Marissa Mcelrone, Kristin Riggsbee, Janie Burney

Journal of Extension

Extension programming can be effective at delivering nutrition education to food pantry clients. This study aimed to understand the perceptions of food pantry personnel towards nutrition education. A mixed methods survey was administered to food pantry personnel (n=53). Most (62.3%) reported their food pantry was church-affiliated, and few (22.6%) reported any Extension collaboration. Qualitative themes included perceptions that nutrition education was resource intensive, clients were not interested in nutrition education, and differing attitudes towards nutrition education. When working with food pantries, Extension should educate personnel about the importance of nutrition education, offer resources, and facilitate programming.

In 2020, malnutrition, unemployment, and poverty in Banten Province were high, and the population's income tends to be low. Karangkamulyan Village is an underdeveloped village with mining areas. The Go Wild With Whole Grains! School-Based Program: Positive Impacts Among Children, Joshua Bailey, Sara Van Offelen, Hyunjun Kim, Marla Reicks

Whole grain foods have been associated with health benefits, yet are underconsumed by youth compared to recommendations. This study evaluated impacts of a school-based curriculum among children in grades 3-5 to address barriers to intake (2018-2019) (n = 1,748). Surveys before and after the program indicated youth were more willing to try and better able to identify whole grain foods. Open-ended responses confirmed findings regarding increased ability to identify whole grain foods, increased preferences and perceptions of availability. Together, these impacts could increase the likelihood that youth can meet whole grain intake recommendations to improve diet quality and health.

Aflatoxins are mycotoxins that can contaminate grains, legumes, and oil seeds. These toxic compounds are an especially serious problem in tropical and sub-tropical climates. Over half of the university's students experience food insecurity, and over 85% use non-academic resources to learn about nutrition. University dining halls are understudied food environments that affect student diet quality. This study (1) assessed dining hall offerings at the University of Rhode Island (URI) using the Partnership for a Healthier America’s Healthier Campus Initiative (PAHA) criteria for healthier campus food environments and (2) evaluated student perceptions of the dining hall through a campus-wide survey (n=165). Wood apple or Limonia acidissima contains fruit acid, vitamins, and minerals. The dry fiber of the fruit contains 15% citric acid, potassium, calcium, and iron salt. The seed and pulp contain fats and protein. The fats consist of palmitic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid, despite palmitoleic and stearic acid traces. β-sitosterol, β-Amirin, lupeol, and stigmasterol are from the unsaponifiable matter of seed oil.
