Comparison Of Hybrid Maize Obtained From Inbred Lines That Are Selected Via Top-Crossing And Discriminant Analysis, Ahmet Öz

This research was done at the Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute in Samsun, in 2006 and 2007. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of discriminant analysis in determining the parents among inbred lines in hybrid corn breeding. Grain yield and some yield components of the hybrid maize, which was obtained from inbred lines that were selected in accordance with top-crossing and discriminant analysis, was examined in the research.
