An Analysis Of The Habitat Distribution Of The Vertebrate Fauna Of A Stream- Bank Association In Western Kansas, Olive Falls
An Analysis Of The Habitat Distribution Of The Vertebrate Fauna Of A Stream- Bank Association In Western Kansas, Olive Falls
Master's Theses or Doctor of Nursing Practice
This present paper is chiefly concerned with the distribution of animals. The environmental and faunal conditions of Western Kansas have not been studied, and they are rapidly changing, due to human occupancy of the region. Therefore, a major object of this report is to put on record information in regard to the present vertebrate animal life in Western Kansas. Profound changes in the native conditions have already been recognized; for example, many animals have become extinct, and others are gradually vanishing. It is in the hope of contributing something of the facts of the status of the species in this …

Jane Claire Dirks-Edmunds Documents
Originally a radio broadcast, this document explores the fraternal nature of bird watching. It was included in the papers of Dr. James A. Dirks-Edmunds, a 1937 graduate of Linfield, graduated from the University of Illinois in 1941; she returned to teach in the Biology department at Linfield from 1941-1974.

Both have been used by observers in various parts of the world, but so far as I know have never been comparatively tested in order to ascertain the relative value of results obtained by the two. The experience of the past year has shown some disadvantages in the first method, while the second has certain evident objections which rendered its employment in this case out of the question. In …
