In this field, electronic components are manufactured with conventional printing methods. Transparent electrodes made from indium tin oxide (ITO) are part of many electronic devices. Currently in industry, highly conductive ITO films are prepared by sputtering. This technology utilizes a print head to lay down raw materials in successive layers to fabricate a three dimensional object. Longitudinal variations in building conditions, weather conditions and building’s service life can cause significant deviation of the prediction from the real lifecycle energy consumption. This report presents an investigation and development of the methods for orbital object identification. Two goals were accomplished in this master’s thesis; the development of a method of inverting material proportions from an object’s combined spectrum, and the investigation of methods and initialization of measurement of space environment effects on spectral features of common spacecraft materials. A constrained least squares approach was chosen for inverting spectral proportions from the combined spectra. Behavior-based (Level 3) and results-based (Level 4) evaluations of training interventions can provide organizations with substantive proof of the value of those interventions. Training professionals have long acknowledged the necessity of conducting such evaluations, yet Level 3 evaluations are conducted for only about half of all training interventions and Level 4 for about one-third. This research examined the frequency with which training professionals currently conduct Level 3 and Level 4 evaluations, their perceptions on the utility of Level 3 and Level 4 evaluations, and the factors that facilitate or obstruct their attempts to perform such evaluations.

In this study, the inkjet printability of materials important to fabricating OTFTs was researched. In order to understand the jetting evolution of inkjet printed inks, simulations were performed with a nano copper and nano particle silver ink. To predict the inkjettability of the nano copper ink, Z and Oh numbers at different temperatures were determined. The results from the simulation studies were compared to experimental results obtained using a Dimatix inkjet printer. Seismic Tomography and Smoothing Filters Seismic Tomography is a technique used by geologists to map the Earth's crust. Seismic Tomography is an iterative process that develops a model based on travel times of waves from explosion sites to sensors. First, travel times are gathered by using shot points and sensors. Unfortunately, exhaustive testing can be a very expensive, time consuming, and tedious process. This project encompasses the final design of an improved ATV freestyle motocross ramp. The project parameters were decided on by Thaddeus Pedro. This evaluation includes an analysis of the final improved design. This report does not include any construction procedures of any kind.

Research for the project encompasses the cultural history of the freestyle motocross sport and variations of the freestyle motocross ramp. Further research includes the analysis of an existing ramp used as a basis for improvement for the new ramp. The theoretical results indicate a significant improvement in structural weight reduction and reduced material cost.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate affordable technologies that are capable of providing attractive, cost-effective energy savings to the housing industry. The research did so by investigating the 2011 Solar Decathlon competition, with additional insight from the Purdue INhome. Insight from the Purdue INhome verified the importance of using a three step design process to design a net-zero energy building. In addition, energy consumption values of the INhome were used to compare and contrast different systems used in other houses.

Energy-conscious facility designs strive to include natural daylight in workspaces. To improve the efficiency of illumination, significant efforts are underway to adopt more efficient light emitting diode (LED) lamps and to effectively integrate daylight with active dimming of electric lighting. However, the correlated color temperature (CCT) and spectral content of daylight varies throughout the day while existing electric light sources produce light with a fixed CCT, resulting in mixed-illumination environments. An air-to-air missile vector scoring system is proposed for test and evaluation applications. Three different linear missile dynamics models are considered: a six-state constant velocity model and nine-state constant acceleration and three-dimensional coordinated turn models. Frequency modulated continuous wave radar sensors, carefully located to provide spherical coverage around the target, provide updates of missile kinematic information relative to a drone aircraft. Data from the radar sensors is fused with predictions from one of the three missile models using either an extended Kalman filter, an unscented Kalman filter or a particle filter algorithm. The Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) lost the supplier for its canopy fracturing initiation system (CFIS) with no prospect for a replacement. This forced a complete CFIS redesign to supply both an active production line and sustain fielded aircraft. Compounding the problem, the existing CFIS became obsolete, which forced an interim design to be produced until a final long term solution was fielded. This thesis developed a method to optimize the redesign by determining the lowest cost path for both fielding the interim design and phasing in the final retrofit. This research project develops a strategic level asset management model for varying types of infrastructure that provides guidance for effective asset management. The strategic model also incorporates Next Generation Information Technology initiatives into a single coherent system to streamline the top-down, bottom-up flow of information.
