Numerical Analysis Of Temperature Field Of Underwater Dredging Artificial Frozen Plate, Wu Yuwei, Hu Jun, Wang Zhixin, Zeng Dongling, Wang Shucheng

Coal Geology & Exploration

In order to understand the development of the temperature field of artificial freeze dredging plates and the process of the formation of frozen curtains, the finite element analysis was used to perform numerical analysis using the single factor analysis method for research of the frozen process in different circumstances of geometric size of plate and physical environment of the soil under water. The results show that the correlation between the different geometric dimensions of the frozen plate and the dredging depth is weak, and the geometric dimension of the frozen plate can only change the area of dredging; for the …

Coupling Simulation Model Between Mine Ventilation Network And Gob Flow Field, F.I. Wu, Y. Luo, X-T Chang Jan 2019

Coupling Simulation Model Between Mine Ventilation Network And Gob Flow Field, F.I. Wu, Y. Luo, X-T Chang

Faculty & Staff Scholarship

Many numerical simulation studies of coal spontaneous combustion have focused on the leakage flow field in the mine gob. However, most of these studies isolate the gob from the mine ventilation system, failing to consider the effects of air leakage on gob boundary conditions. A novel model coupling the mine ventilation network (MVN) and gob flow field (GFF) has been developed to simulate the overall mine ventilation system. The concept of network boundary node was proposed and the corresponding air flow rate balance equations were developed based on the node pressure method for MVN calculation and the finite element method …

Time Effect Of Water Injection On The Mechanical Properties Of Coal And Its Application In Rockburst Prevention In Mining, Xiaofei Liu, Guang Xu, Chong Zhang, Biao Kong, Jifa Qian, Dong Zhu, Mingyao Wei Nov 2017

Time Effect Of Water Injection On The Mechanical Properties Of Coal And Its Application In Rockburst Prevention In Mining, Xiaofei Liu, Guang Xu, Chong Zhang, Biao Kong, Jifa Qian, Dong Zhu, Mingyao Wei

Mining Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works

Coal seam water injection is widely used to prevent rockbursts in coal mines, and the duration of water injection is an important parameter related to the effectiveness of rockburst prevention, making it of practical importance to optimize the effective water injection duration. This paper presents the test results of the mechanical properties and pore structure of samples with different soaking time, obtained from a working face where rockburst occurred. Soaking time changes the mechanical properties of samples, and this time effect differs with the coal size (from centimeter to nanometer size). Results of numerical simulation and on-site tests in the …
