The Copper Deposits Of Shannon County, Missouri, John Hyer Bowles, Lewis Ely Davidson
Masters Theses
"The object of this report has been three-fold. First, it has been deemed necessary to discuss the general geology of the area about Eminence, showing the distribution and character of the different formations. The distribution is shown on a topographic map of the Eminence Quadrangle...In the second place, it is intended to give a detailed account of the history, development, and extent of mining operations in Shannon county, with the amounts of production and the occurrence of the ore. The third object of this report is to develop a probable theory for the genesis of the ore, and to discuss …

Design Of 300 Ton Cyanide Tailings Plant And Operation Of Same, Lamar Horacio Hunt
Masters Theses
"The plant in question was designed by the writer, to treat the immense tailings dumps of the Sacramento Gold Mining company at Mercur, Utah, consisting of one-half million tons of old cyanide tailings. The ore is porous and friable, causing much slime, which is impermeable to cyanide solution, by the old leaching system. Slime has always been troublesome, and the above plant was designed to overcome this difficulty"--page [1].

"On the 17th of June 1902, Congress passed an act which may have appeared of little moment at that time, but which is not attracting the attention of the people of the United States. It is known on the Statute Books as the Reclamation Act and its purpose is to provide a Reclamation Fund, the said fund being used only to examine and construct Irrigation Works in certain Western States and Territories. This Act provides that the proceeds of the sale of public lands in thirteen States and three Territories, known as the Public Land States, less a deduction of …
