Case Study On The Effects Of Seismic Exploration Beneath The Goafs Of Different Ages, Zhang Zhao, Yin Quanzeng
Coal Geology & Exploration
With the continuous development of coal resources, the upper group of coal in some coal mines has been mined out, and it is urgent to solve the detection problem of the lower group of coal. Affected by the goaf formed by the upper group of coal, the seismic energy absorption and scattering attenuation of the lower group of coal are significant, and the signal-to-noise ratio of the data is low. The detection of the lower group of coal under the goaf by 3D seismic exploration is still in the exploration stage. In this paper, the 3D seismic exploration project of …

Factors Affecting The Attitude Accuracy Of Wireless Electromagnetic Wave Mwd System, Wang Xiaobo
Coal Geology & Exploration
In broken soft coal seams of coal mine where hydraulic driving directional drilling is used, hole collapse and hole wall instability are easy to occur. Electromagnetic wave measurement while drilling system is suitable for gas driving drilling, so it is widely used in broken soft coal seams. The accuracy of drilling trajectory is the key to gas drainage effect in broken soft coal seams. In the use of electromagnetic wave measurement while drilling system, the phenomenon of insufficient accuracy and large error of trajectory measurement appears irregularly. In order to solve this problem, this paper analyzes all the factors that …

Gravity Field Changes During Deep Exploitation Of The Coal Longwall And Their Relation To Stress Distribution And Seismic Activity, Łukasz Kortas
Gravity Field Changes During Deep Exploitation Of The Coal Longwall And Their Relation To Stress Distribution And Seismic Activity, Łukasz Kortas
Journal of Sustainable Mining
Mining operations cause volumetric deformations within the rock mass and changes in its density, to which the gravimetric method is sensitive. These changes are particularly well seen in periodic measurements of the local gravity field. The paper analyses the relationship between the movement of a longwall in a coal seam and the change in the distribution of the gravity field in time and space observed on the ground surface. Relative gravimetric measurements were carried out in six series between 2018 and 2020; before the start of coal extraction, with the progress of the longwall and after the cessation of mining. …
Study Of The Relationship Of Tidal Changes In Gravity With The Time Of Mining Tremors In The Area Of The Mining Longwall In A Coal Mine – Case Study In Uscb, Poland, Sławomir Siwek
Journal of Sustainable Mining
Deep mining of coal deposits in Upper Silesia Coal Basin in Poland over several hundred years has led to disturbances in the natural state of equilibrium. As a result of changes in stress distribution, mass distribution (changes in gravity forces) and deformation of the rock mass, seismic tremors with energy reaching up to 10E+09J are generated. In this paper, the time of mining tremors occurrence is linked with changes in the gravitational load of the rock mass caused by litosphere tides, which are considered to be one of the factors leading to occurrence of natural seismic tremors. The analysis used …

Mining activities are bound to produce enormous mine water drainage. Mine water in China shows relatively poor water quality and high cost of water treatment and other problems. Firstly, the main characteristics of mine water quality in China's typical mine areas are clarified in this paper: conventional ions are the main chemical components causing poor mine water quality; mine water has a small proportion of toxic and harmful substances, which is generally better than the quality standard of class Ⅲ groundwater. Secondly, some scientific issues on the formation and evolution of mine water quality are discussed in detail, including the …

The mechanical state of overburden after mining is directly related to roof accidents and roof water disasters, so it is necessary to study the overburden structure after mining. The "New Four Zones" model of overburden structure is proposed: caving zone, fracture zone, bedrock separation zone and loose alluvium zone. Combined with the previous "Three Zones" model and "Four Zones" model, this paper makes a spatial comparative analysis to clarify the spatial relationship of the three zoning models. It discusses the scientific nature of the "New Four Zones" model in terms of the influence of mining on water level of the …

Coal Geology & Exploration
In wire-line core drilling of horizontal holes, the rotation axis of the drilling tool is not in a straight line with its own gravity direction; with the ground hole pressurized, the drilling trajectory will be deviated due to the soft and hard formation or the occurrence of the rock formation. At present, there is no effective way to achieve directional deviation correction while drilling. This paper studies the pushing, fixing and fishing technologies of small-diameter horizontal wire-line directional instruments while drilling. A set of horizontal rope directional drilling tools and directional technology are developed and applied in directional deviation correction …

Design And Application Of Pdc Bit For Large Diameter Directional Drilling Of Coal Seam Roof With Double Stage And Double Speed, Gao Xiaoliang, Ju Pei, Zhao Jianguo
Coal Geology & Exploration
The development of large diameter directional drilling technology has provided technical support for the extraction of gas in the upper corner of the goaf by "replacing roadway with borehole". At present, conventional large-diameter drilling mainly adopts the step-by-step hole-forming method, which solves the problem of insufficient power of large-diameter drilling equipment in underground coal mines. However, step-by-step reaming requires multiple times of lifting and lowering, long auxiliary time and intensive labor of the workers. In order to improve the drilling efficiency of large-diameter holes in the coal roof, a double stage drilling process with two speeds was developed. The process …

Coal Geology & Exploration
Hydraulic fracturing technology is an effective method to improve the efficiency of coalbed methane drainage, but the universal embedding of proppant under stress will change the width of the fractures, which will affect the gas slippage effect and the permeability mechanism. In order to explore the gas slippage effect and coal seepage law under the background of hydraulic fracturing, the Hertzian contact theory is used to quantify the embedding depth of proppant, and the gas slippage coefficient calculation equation and permeability model of the combined effect of proppant and effective stress are constructed. The results show that under different gas …
