This article presents the results of an analytical study of the process of loosening and cleaning raw cotton from small debris by pileging working bodies of purifiers, on the basis of which directions for further research were chosen to optimize the parameters of the developed pile drum with spherical piles and rubber strips. Cotton entering production contains impurities. The processes of loosening and cleaning the fiber shreds are key in the initial stages of ginning, as they prepare the raw cotton for ginning and directly affect the reliability, productivity of these processes and the quality of the resulting fiber. Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is a specific form of electrical discharge machining that employs a small diameter wire electrode to cut a narrow kerf in the workpiece. Since the wire deflection has a negative effect on the performed cutting, this research seeks to study the resultant wire deflection during WEDM of AISI 304 stainless steel. This study is performed with the help of three types of modeling; namely, mathematical modeling, experimental modeling, and thermo-mechanical finite element modeling. The effect of hard chromium coating on AISI D2's mechanical properties and wear resistance has been investigated using the electrolysis technique with varying current and coating duration. The variations of current used are 0.8 A, 1.2 A, and 1.6 A, while the coating duration used are 300, 600 and 900 seconds. Characterization of the films was conducted using SEM-EDS, and XRD. It can be observed from SEM characterization that the chrome grains resulted from the electroplating process are fine. The XRD identify chrome compund on the surface coating. Solar-powered distillation is a seawater distillation method that utilizes solar heat as its main energy source for the purpose producing freshwater and a by-product of the distillation process in the form of salt. This study aims to determine the performance of a solar seawater distillation design with a semi-batch system by combining a fin-type absorber plate and a triangular prism cover. The Georgia Southern University Libraries launched a 3D printing program for students in July 2022. Prior to launch, library employees at two of Georgia Southern University’s campuses investigated options for implementing safe, affordable, and sustainable 3D printing in existing academic libraries without retrofitting costly ventilation systems into existing facilities. This study was focused on determining the effect of repeated austenitization and quenching on mechanical properties and microstructure. The experiment was carried out in a rolled quencher facility with a heat treatment process of one to two times, with parameters of an austenizing temperature of 9500C and quenching at a temperature of 8500C with pressurized water media. Testing of specimens, including microstructure observations and hardness testing. The repeated heat treatment process showed an increase in hardness of 0.79% on one-time repeated heat treatment and 1.65% on two repeated heat treatments. The manufacturing plant contains four test cells where the engines can be subjected to high levels of torque and extreme temperatures. Pulverizing solid-state drives (SSDs) down to particles no larger than 2 mm is required by the United States National Security Agency (NSA) to ensure the highest level of data security, but commercial disintegrators that achieve this standard are large, heavy, costly, and often difficult to access globally. Here, we present a portable, inexpensive, and accessible method of pulverizing SSDs using a household blender and other readily available materials. This research examines the effect of top-to-bottom static compression load on the bulge of RSC containers. The study compares a control regular slotted container (RSC) constructed with corrugated fiberboard to tape-reinforced designs. The bulge reduction, achieved using various tape placements and conditioning environments, were measured. Currently, no research on the effect of reinforcement tape towards reduction in the out-of-plane displacement (bulging) of the corrugated fiberboard panels has been undertaken. This paper presents a control algorithm of 3ph STATic synchronous COMpensator (STATCOM). The algorithm depends on the accurate reference currents extraction from only the nonlinear load current spec-trum in frequency domain using Fast Fourier Transfer (FFT). Then the determined harmonics and reactive components of load current are added together to form the compensating reference signals, the PI controllers then generate signals which control the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method. Due to the high cost of equipment and lack of trained personnel, manual palpation is a preferred alternative breast examination technique over mammography. The process involves a thorough search pattern using trained fingers and applying adequate pressure, with the objective of identifying solid masses from the surrounding breast tissue. However, palpation requires skills that must be obtained through adequate training in order to ensure proper diagnosis. Consequently, palpation performance and reporting techniques have been inconsistent.
