Abstract- Nowadays, acoustic signatures of daily used applications are to be minimized. The study of noise generated through aerodynamic interaction with moving bodies has passed through different phases since the early 50s, and this leads to the evolvement of many analytical, empirical and computational techniques in order to be able to estimate the emitted noise. Concerning fan blades, until now the researches are still going for a reliable method for noise estimation during the early phases of design which help in the development of blades with a lower aeroacoustic signature, the Brooks, Pope and Marcolini (BPM) model was chosen to …

Design And Control Of Delta Robot (Mini Review), Donia Waheed Seleem, Mohamed A. Shamseldin, Hasan Eleashy
Future Engineering Journal
The control of Delta robots, known by their parallel kinematic structure and high-speed operation, presents unique challenges and opportunities. A recent developments in Delta robot will be described. The strategies are aimed at enhancing precision, speed, and flexibility in a variety of robotic applications. Here are some key elements: trajectory tracking, motion planning, and obstacle avoidance. This review paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of three different approaches to enhancing the performance of Delta robots: structural optimization, kinematics and dynamics refinement, and control techniques that have been used. This provides a unique, multidimensional perspective that bridges the gap between isolated optimizations …

Development Of A Drive-Rod Unified Variable Pitch Control Mechanism For Small-Scale Horizontal Wind Turbines, Ayman I. Bakry, Mohamed Elfouly, Omar Mehrez
Journal of Engineering Research
Typically, small-scale wind turbines use either a breaking equipment or stall control methods once the wind speed exceeds its rated value. This is to limit the power extracted from the wind turbines which largely depends on the blades' shape and pitch angle. Most of small-scale wind turbines are of fixed pitch angle to avoid complexity and cost. In this work, a novel drive-rod unified variable pitch drive mechanism is proposed for blades pitch control for small-scale horizontal wind turbines. The mechanism is powered by a DC motor coupled with a lead screw which in turn is connected to the pitch …

Recently, there is a tendency towards the utilization of magnetorheological (MR) dampers in electrical vehicles (EV) due to its adaptability of active control devices with lower requirement of large power sources compared to the active damping systems. This paper investigates the performance of the most used control technique for MR dampers used in EV, the PID controller, under different road conditions. In this investigation, the Dynamic-Damper-Motor System (ADM-EV) is used as the EV suspension system model. Meanwhile, modified Bouc-Wen model is used as the MR damper model. The design procedure for the optimum design of the system controller parameters is …

Due to road accidents, it is difficult to supply injured people with first aid, especially in difficult-access regions. Also, uneven roads or far places pose a problem for ambulances and doctors to reach and save injured people’s lives. The paper aims to design, model, and control a drone able to fly at different heights and support patients with essential needs after accidents. The drone also contains sensors to measure blood sugar and pressure in cases of diabetic coma that require urgent intervention. The drone design was tested using SolidWorks and FLUENT to ensure safe design in different flying conditions. The …

Performance Comparison Of Several Control Algorithms For Tracking Control Of Pantograph Mechanism, Laylaa Mahmoud Eng, Mohamed Shamseldin Dr, Mohamed Sallam Dr, Abdelghany Mohamed Prof
Future Engineering Journal
A sort of parallel manipulator known as a pantograph robot mechanism was created primarily for industrial requests that required high precision and satisfied speed. While tracking a chosen trajectory profile requires a powerful controller. Because it has four active robot links and one robot passive link in place of just two links like the open chain does, it can carry more loads than the open chain robot mechanism while maintaining accuracy and stability. The calculated model for a closed chain pantograph robot mechanism presented in this paper takes into account the boundary conditions. For the purpose of simulating the dynamics …
Prediction Of Temperature Difference Across Thermoacoustic Stack Through Artificial Neural Network Technique, Anas A. Rahman, Xiaoqing Zhang
Prediction Of Temperature Difference Across Thermoacoustic Stack Through Artificial Neural Network Technique, Anas A. Rahman, Xiaoqing Zhang
Future Engineering Journal
This study involved the application of artificial neural network (ANN) as a new approach for thermoacoustic refrigerators to predict the temperature difference across the stack under some operating conditions. One ANN model for a standing wave thermoacoustic refrigerator, had been developed based on the experimental data from other literature. Temperature difference across the stack was chosen as a response to the input parameters, mean pressure and frequency in the proposed ANN model. A multi-layer feed-forward neural network with a back propagation algorithm had been proposed for predicting the temperature difference across the stack of the thermoacoustic refrigerator. This proposed ANN …
